6:48 What!? I’ve never heard of this game before. Which makes it particularly strange because not only is BttF my favorite movie trilogy but I’m pretty well versed on the SNES library. Even Japan exclusives. Looks like I got a new game to play on my emulator

I just got this game because it had mechs in it and I was curious - assault suits valken. I had no clue you could make the feel of a mech work in 2d. But it DOES. Its not a normal platformer. The story is kinda cool and its REALLY well made and controlling the mech is a delight

Real talk. Great video guys. I had some of these games growing up, but I was blown away by some of the weird unlocalized content. Side bar. If you guys ever wanted to do a "Hey, anyone who wants to yo ho yo ho themselves some Japanese only games, here's the video list for you" type video, I'd be very very grateful. You have good tastes and I trust your recommendations. Just saying.
My favorite Dragon Ball is Krillin, but I respect your choice of Piccolo 😀 Also respect that Simpsons clip - "Get ready everybody. _He's about to do something stupid...."_ 😄 This was a good list. I mean, anytime you see Violnist of Hamelyn, King of Demons/Majuuou, and Gourmet Warriors, you know you're looking at some good SNES games.
I made it, bark! Thanks for the video! Just yesterday I was looking for obscure games to play! Also, Holy Umbrella could make it to the obscure list as well! It’s a fun game!
Im simple. I see the Shin Megami Tensei 1 protag, I click Edit: as for a weird SNES game, ZOOP and Zool: Ninja of the Nth Dimension both have a place in my heart
I wonder if anyone can help me figure out these games I can't remember. I think they were from PS1 and earlier. 1. Top down view. There was maybe a warehouse that had a giant metal snail that you had to shoot. 2. Might be Genesis. You played as maybe a cloaked figure. You could run left and right and jump on platforms to maybe collect stuff. The level looped so if you ran all the way to the right, you would be back at the beginning. Might have had a witch?
There’s a Cho Aniki game for the Super Famicom that needs to be in this list. Also, just a minor correction, but Libyans had nothing to do with BttF2 not getting localized. I made it. Woof.
I made it bark I actually managed to get a copy from limited run of that king of demons game and it is quite weird, it's honestly a decent game though.
Actriser and Boogerman are well known, but awesome. The rest I need to try. Just so you know, for those games that are in Japanese, it's easy to find a fan-made translation, if you're into ROMs and emulators.
i made it bark Also, Pocky and Rocky fan here! I got my introduction to the series with the sequel, I don't think I ever got past the dragon level as a kid though

2:42 lol my friend's christian mom found his Monster Manual and had him committed to a mental hospital. This was in the early 90's. My other friend won a D&D style board game at school and his christian dad PUBLICLY BURNED IT.
@redwizardmatt Religion traumatizing youth? Or bad parents? And if you say "religion made those parents bad", are you not saying the exact same thing as the parents saying "d&d corrupted the youth"? Think about it.
@rondroske3623 Humans invented religion. Some religions were made to control people, others made to help people, others came up organically for various reasons. But the thing about *organized* religion is that they're basically governments without democracy that have a small group of people at the top that can't be questioned. That's why Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation happened. Because when a small group of humans have unrestricted power for multiple generations, they do exactly what you'd expect them to do. We could get into a meta analysis of the difference between organizations and individuals, but I won't insult your intelligence. Let's assume that we both know that every organization consists of both good and bad people, and start by assuming that bad people to do bad things. But, as someone who works in mental health I have to point out that "bad" is subjective, and our current understanding of human psychology suggests that bad behavior is usually a result of trauma or other external stimulus being negatively reacted to. Or put in other terms, people fail to exercise healthy emotional regulation skills, healthy empathy skills, or healthy boundaries usually because no one taught them how to and never taught them why they should. Nor were they ever empowered with a set of values that prioritizes them. The irony here is not lost on me. That's all to say, nothing *ever* happens in a void. Bad parenting is usually the result of generations of social failures, societal pressures, and incidental traumas. But hey, that's just the current scientific consensus held by most professionals in the field. All of that is my round about way of saying "nothing happens in a void and all moving parts are responsible for the whole". So, we can't paint any one part of the picture with all, or none, of the blame. This is why in my field we debate endlessly on the subject of criminal liability and social reforms. It's all rather fun stuff to talk about, but it does get grim when you realize that our society doesn't make better choices because they genuinely don't want to do the things required to make the world better reflect the ideal we *all* say we hold. Sigh.
I made it bark You know, I'm a sucker for free stuff. I don't even know what game the "free steam key" is for, but I'll gladly accept it. Even if it's for a late 2000's port of a wii shovelware title. Ninjabread Man, anyone?

Boogerman walked so Conkers Bad Fur Day could run! haha
Finally got to play Goof Troop not too terribly long ago and yeah, it's a lot of fun.
Gourmet Fight was also supposed to start a franchise. Somehow.
