Hi, thanks for your comment. Please check if your image is of JPEG format or PNG format. The edit colors feature works with JPEG images or images directly embedded to Illustrator using Copy/Paste. For more details, please watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/kqsKUb1QUcM/v-deo.html
Thanks for your comment and sorry for the inconvenience. There were just 7 subscribe popups, 5 of which have now been removed, so you can better enjoy the method without interruption. The video is still of 10 and half minutes. Cheers!

Thanks for your comment. You can try to turn colors to RGB and use a RGB Black instead of CMYK Black color for gradients. Hope this helps. let me know if problem persists.
Thanks for your comment. Well, some have the very opposite perception! Hope the video helps you out as each and every step is highlighted and with tool tips! Cheers!
Thanks for your comment. After you created a rectangle, apply gradient (Black & White) from Gradient panel then adjust the gradient using Gradient Tool (G) and you have the Gradient Bar showing on the rectangle to adjust. Hope this helps. Cheers!
Seriously?? If someone wants to subscribe to a channel, it's because they like the content, not because you put 💩-load of SUBSCRIBE reminders into the video... Puts me off... 🤮
Thanks for your comment. No worries, beginner can do this too. Just follow the instructions step by step. You can watch the video in slow motion as well to get the steps properly.
It was helpful but you have to understand that people get frustrated because they can't find the solution and then look towards the internet .. you're helping but it adds to the frustration .. very slow video and not to forget the constant bell that rings in your ear

So frustrating when tutorials have music, and not voice narration explaining what they're doing. It's so difficult to see what's going on.

You had me until you started to "adjust the gradient using the Gradient Tool" at 2:26. No clue what you're doing here.
