Yes, and on this episode she had some matches, including an 500 audience match.. But the contestant blew it away on head to head when Patti answered the obvious, Condensed milk.
Well, this week is shaping up to resemble last week when we went 5 straight days with zero winning H/H matches. Yesterday the contestant bombed out on the audience match so didn't get a chance to do the H/H match. Today the contestant chose Patti Deutch (Patti's first time ever selected for the H/H match!). Patti gave what I think is the definitive answer to what I thought was an easy question, but the contestant's answer was, as Gene often says, "rotten." For those keeping score at home, Trish Stewart chalked up her first H/H match a while back (on her first and only attempt), and Avery Schreiber has yet to be chosen. Gary is 1 for 2. Here's the updated leader board showing the 10 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy: TIE: Orson Bean - 100% (3 wins in 3 attempts). TIE: Joyce Bulifant - 100% (3 wins in 3 attempts). Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts). Betty - 50% (13 wins in 26 attempts). Fannie - 46.2% (6 wins in 13 attempts). Charles - 45.7% (16 wins in 35 attempts). Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 wins in 18 attempts). Richard - 34.6% (66 wins in 191 attempts). Bert - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts). Brett - 32.1% (9 wins in 28 attempts). *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 392, excluding the lost/missing episodes: 31, 32, 33, 311, 312, 313, 324, 325. (As per MatchGameProductions, these episodes "are nowhere to be found and also aren't in the Goodson/Todman Library. Sadly, looks like they are lost forever!")
This episode DOES have the "edited for broadcast standards" note in the credits. I suppose one note would cover two or more edits for situations that got carried away.

You mean the backwards "F" on Richard's card? I would assume it was done on purpose rather than being a mistake. It's a pretty hard mistake to make for anyone who passed the first grade.
Observation 1: Is Gary going to go up to Gene in the intro every damn episode now? Good gravy, Marie! Observation 2: "You have to match Patti to stay in the game" are words that should fill every contestant with dread. Even so, super "mold" was somehow amusing.
@@judithparsons1920 It's annoying. Gene's introduction is supposed to be Gene's moment and that little twerp Gary ruins it. I would be pissed if I was Gene!
From what I have tracked so far which is MGSynd, MGPM, MG73, MG74, MG75, MG79 Patti has match 98 times, one being a audience match for 500 (MG79) and an a head to head for 10,000 (MGSynd S1).
@@dmnemaine Yes, when I heard the question, I thought it was a guaranteed winner. I'm sure being on stage with the lights and camera and audience makes contestants nervous and sometimes they draw blanks or miss the obvious.
Who in their right minds would pick Patty for the big match!!!!!!!!!!????? And then the one dang time she gave a normal/correct answer.... They lady gave a estupit answer!!!!!!!
Anybody else like Richard's jab at Gary, at 4:22? "Let him keep him talking, he might finally get a laugh". LOL. Gary is so annoying.
I wished they`d had done an episode of M*A*S*H where they sewed the little twerps mouth shut and all he could do was mumble.
This episode made me like Gary a lot less.
I loved it. Richard did very well ignoring Gary's snide remarks but I'm glad he finally shot one 🔙
Patti was weird and adorable

"The Old and the Toothless"
Who else is counting down the episodes to CNR’s return? Enough Gary. Enough 🤦♂️
Brett and Gary were hugging at the end of the last episode so I guess she truly didn't mind him.
I can't believe not one person went for "The Young and the Chestless"
I thought "The Old And The Useless" was a given.
Panelists:
1. Avery Schreiber
2. Brett Somers
3. Gary Burghoff
4. Trish Stewart
5. Richard Dawson
6. Patti Deutsch
It had to be milk!! No other answer!! :)
My second thought was soup
Reader's Digest Condensed Books were still a thing then. That may have been what she was thinking of when she answered "version".
Best part of that is Avery thinking she said "virgin" 🤣
@@mrnmrsifl I only caught that after you mentioned it.

Why in the world would she say condensed version? It doesn’t even make sense.
Strange edited before Brett gave her first answer.. Hmm a re tape? Hmm another one seems before Gary's response.. ;0) Hmmm
This episode DOES have the "edited for broadcast standards" note in the credits. I suppose one note would cover two or more edits for situations that got carried away.
Gary is just like Bret has to jump in on everything
It's SO ANNOYING!! TRYING TOO HARD TO BE FUNNY!!! 😫🤬😫
Gary is not funny one bit...hurry back Charles!!!
I would have said "The Old and the Brainless"

Patti Matched! ;0)
The Old and the Rested or
The Old and the Resting

Yes. Nancy had 3 matches.
I guess it's the eff but big deal
I wouldn't have noticed that they wrongly gave her the 3rd point if you didn't mention it.
version? Really?
Unusual answer.
Caveman wedding-- "ate"
Small & green -- "frog"
"SING" Sing
Condensed "MILK"
Indian blanket -- "breech cloth"
Old & the "tasteless"
Indian blanket - "coat"
The Old & the "Breathless"
Indian blanket = "fur coat" or "tuxedo"
The Old & the "Toothless" (But "reckless" or "breathless" are better, I think.)
For those of you who don't know about Sing Sing:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sing_Sing?wprov=sfla1

They couldn’t come up with: The Old and The Worthless ??? Lol!!!

That was weird. I left for the afternoon with the episodes rendering in Final Cut. That's never happened before. Odd! I fixed it. Now onto 393!
Patti has actually managed to match before. I think this episode is the start of her consistently giving her WEIRD answers.
