Thanks a lot! Im happy to contribute with whatever I can, and much more is to come! Its never to late to rescue an E28 classic, no matter what engine or model, so just go for it! /Mats
Tackar! Ja bygget går framåt i bra takt!
Yes, its a perfect solution to get rid of the contamination from paint dust and thinner vapor smell. I have had it for 4-5 years and I cant stop thinking its a perfect solution! /Mats
Thank you for watching! I will look into this, but as far as the BMW parts chart consider, all things were replaced correctly. But I will double check to be certain 😎.
Interesting video, thank you. I have a 1989 E34 535i, same engine I think? (3.44l straight six) How did you manage to fit those seals without damaging the fresh paint on the vice? Maybe the castings didn't touch the vice, not that easy to see on camera. Are the replica alloys Japan Racing by any chance? They look really good in any case. Look forward to your next upload, Happy New Year by the way!
Thank you! Yes, this is actually the engine from 535i E34 (B35), but being "modified" in spec to match the E28 535i engine (B34) in most areas. If the vice is smooth and you have a thin piece of paper in between the contact surfaces, its not a problem, no paint damages were made on the front cover actually 🙂. The wheels are "no name" brand, and one of those you might find on the web from various suppliers, thats why they also have a double bolt circle from start - to match a wide range of cars and models. However, its always possible to make them stand out a little extra with a few magic touches 😎👌. Thanks for watching, and Happy new year back to you! /Mats
@@kinnby_customgarage_1976 Hi Mats, there are probably many wheels that are identical coming from the same Chinese factory. The Japan Racing wheels are made in the far east then re-worked in Poland. The reason I'm looking at them is I have been restoring a 1998 E31 840Ci for about 7 years, and foolishly left my 2 front throwing star wheels outside my garage to free up some space, and some kind person has stolen them. IMO, those wheels don't look that great, they are a bit dated, but they are rare and command massive money here in the UK. I can get a brand new set of Japan Racing JR9 or JR10 for around £800 or less in the UK and they will really make the car pop. How's the weather where you are? 150mm of snow outside my house at the moment!
Thank you so much for this! I’m just at the start of my e28 journey and these videos are proving SUPER helpful!

Alltså, det är ju genialiskt med en husvagn som lackbox! 😎😃
Intressant film, går ju framåt med stormsteg!🤩

Love the paint colour and the wheel choice! I'm currently deciding between an e28 or e30 for a project/fun car
Thanks you sir! Just go for it, whatever you choose - it can not go wrong! /Mats 😎
