Charlotte 10-Miler: Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!

- The Charlotte 10-Miler is one of the local races I do perennially. The course has changed multiple times, and there is yet another new course this year, but the race is always well directed, and a good test of fitness with an often stacked field. This year, the CLT10 embraced a Mardi Gras theme. Alors, laissez les bon temps rouler, mes amis!

Yea its warm in the UK too this weekend 8-9C (40-43f) , just going on my long run now in shorts!. Good Job on the 10 miler 💪
Thanks for watching! I think it’s going to drop down below freezing again this week here. Which I don’t mind, but I wish the weather would just make up its mind already!
I have the Vaporfly V2. Amazing shoe. Light and comfortable. Nothing like it BUT midsole flat as a pitta bread after 100 miles.. Took them out for a VO2 max run yesterday.. Really enjoyed it because the shoe is great but midsole went from tarpaulin to pitta bread feel.. I have wide feet and the Vaporfly V2 fits me perfectly.. So far doing well with the Endorphin Pro 3 (got an extra pair in the box) and New Balance SC Elite V3. Love the Adidas Pro 3 and Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro V1. They have the best midsole but the cut under the arch in the midsole is playing tricks on my brain..
Yeah, I think of all of those you listed, the Endorphin Pro 3 is probably the most compatible with most people. I still have a couple of relatively new pairs as well, and I’m even planning on using one for my upcoming trail marathon (mostly non-technical trail surfaces). So it will be a while before I try the Endorphin Pro 4 I think. I just hope they didn’t nerf it.
Hey … I’ve got the same VF3 same colorway 😍. I didn’t really like the shoe at the beginning … I did a 10k not as fast as expected I was tired but I said that was due to the VF3 lol 😂… then I tried them again on fast 5’ 6´ reps … after 40kms I felt them really fast and confortable … better than the v2 for sure. … good job 👏 Bon week-end 😉🇫🇷
Thanks! My VF3 have about 54 miles (86km) on them. The should be in the sweet spot. Not a bad shoe, just not as aggressive as v1.
@@thecaptainchas2820 yes you right … I feel faster une the Adios pro3 or Takumi Sen 9 due to a firmer et more responsive foam but I really enjoy the vf3 now … see you in the next one 💪🇫🇷
I did a marathon in the vf 3. I experienced a lot of pain, around the heel area. Could be just the distance. I later ran another two marathons and didn’t experience the same issue. I’ve never had the success everyone raves about with vf. I have a 15k coming and I’ll use it again and see. Thx for the video and interesting shoe talk. Take a look at the Hyperion elite 4, I just did a marathon pr in it and finished strong. Your thoughts on that shoe would be interesting.
Thanks for the tip! I had the Hyperion Elite 2 a couple
Of years ago and I love the Hyperion Max as a trainer. Right now, I have more supershoes than I have races, so the Hyperion Elite 4 might have to wait a while! 😂
@@thecaptainchas2820 Funny, I used the hyperion max for another marathon, one I did not race, basically jogged the entire way for fun. Shoe was great, no pain nothing.
Some people say its too firm, I didnt find it too firm at all.
