Like I said in the description, my calling the midsole foam supercritical EVA was erroneous. It is in fact a heat-treated TPE but has similar (albeit softer) characteristics to supercritical EVA. Also, the “plastic” plate to which I refer is actually glass fiber reinforced nylon.
Great review, love that you are comparing 2 shoes at the same time. Had these for about a month and nothing compares to the bounce and comfort, hate to say it has made all my other shoes redundant. Subscribed from the UK, keep the reviews coming 👍🏻
I was a big fan of SC trainer V1 for easy miles and easy long runs especially and haven’t found the Hoka Skyward X’s that I picked up to be quite as exciting. Definitely want to give these a try with fall marathon training ramping up!
I find the mizuno even more exciting than the SC Trainer 1. Due to the wider platform coupled with less weight, it is currently my number one long run shoe.
Hmm. I don’t know about 2E. They don’t fret tight, but they feel comfortably snug. I’m not sure if the knit upper will give a little for a wide foot or be constricting. I do know from working in the running rental industry for several years that 2E shoes are mainly just a difference in upper from the D lasts.
Hey Captain , great shoe off , I’d never ran in some mizunos but these ones look great lol 180€ or dollars is now the price for a lot of shoes lol ASICS nimbus 26 200€ lol Superblast 220€ …running is now an expensive sport even if we could easy run with some Decathlon shoes which are not that bad lol . If i would buy a pair now I would probably go for these ones. I got a new watch I wanted to change my old Fenix6 and run now with the Pace3 which for the price is even better. light, all the data’s we need … good GPS et HR sensors … cya soon buddy 🤣🔥🇫🇷
I took my pair of Neo Vista out for a first run today. I enjoyed them but wasn’t blown away. That opinion may change after a few runs. The Neo Vista handled a variety of paces well. I liked the knit upper except the toe box felt a bit tight and shallow. Hopefully that loosens up a bit. My favorite shoe at the moment is the Skyward X. Any plans to review them?
Re: Skyward X, at the moment, I’m not planning to. I have a lot of long haul super trainers now, so I’m not sure if I want to invest in them right now. But they are in the back of my mind, as is the Cloudmonster Hyper. 🤷♂️
I had this shoe on my radar but in Australia it is way over priced at $320. Crazy to think a Nike Vaporfly 3 is only $10 more here. I'll pass for now. I might pick it up next year if the price falls under $200 here. It's only 22,000 yen in Japan, which is $208 AUD. Shows the sort of markup the brands are making. I thank you for your review. It's very comprehensive.

Good because TPE lasts longer than EVA.
Just ordered these. Great idea on the comparison. Must be much easier to make a direct comparison when running in both at the same time
Thanks! Yeah, now it’s really become a part of any review I do.

Your shoe offs provide excellent feedback. I really appreciate your hard work here. Thanks.
Thanks for watching! I’ll keep doing them as long as people keep watching them.
This is just an awesome video. A "vs comparison" comparing so many different shoes in one compact video is brilliant. Bravo. Subscribed. 👌
Thanks for the sub!
The review I've been looking for. Thanks.

I'm in Rock Hill and buy a lot of shoes from the Charlotte Running Company either here on the Riverwalk or in Charlotte at their store on East Blvd.
Awesome review. I really appreciate the comparisons. Subscribed.

My plan for them as well! A high end mileage hog that holds my interest, run after run.
Great review. On my buy list.

I agree. The SC v1 was fun but a little chunky. This Neo Vista is elegantly smooth.

Btw. great review 👍🏻
another detailed review and comparison bro! in your opinion, can the knit upper accommodate wide (2E) feet?

@@thecaptainchas2820 thank you! will probably go for half size up

They’re a comfy cruiser with a little bit of zip in the back pocket. I could see them being more appealing the more you get to run in them.

If you had to go with one, I’d pick the Skyward X. We should also see the Superblast 2 and SC Trainer V3 release in July.
Did not like the Flash V2 felt narrow and bottom heavy..
You’re not the only one I’ve heard who was underwhelmed by that one. That’s why I didn’t bother picking it up.

New Balance SC trainer V2 is terrible for me..
Yeah, I only really use it these days when it’s raining or when I need to compare a shoe in a similar category.
