Birds dont understand the meanings of words or phrases. They simply just memorize words there human tells them and repeats them over and over. But at times I do understand that it seems like they understand the meanings.
Jr um not true. I just watched this bird in another video cry about wanting to come down from his or her cage. After saying I want down, he tried getting down. When his or her human didn’t get them, he or she threw the biggest tantrum screaming I waaant doooown! The bird was fully aware of what that meant. I don’t think they understand English to the extent of s human, but some birds have a wide vocabulary and understanding completely what they’re saying. Unfortunately some people are to dumb to know the difference between self awareness and mimicking
Haha same! I've got 2 goffin cockatoos, and every time my grandparents come over with their dog one of them will start to bark as soon as she sees the dog through the window.
He is a rescue, she gave Gotcha a home when he needed it. Please if a person has made the big decision to include a parrot in their lives and can give them a forever loving home always ADOPT don't shop, there are so many parrots in rescues across N. America whom need forever loving homes.
Despite seeming to repeat everything, he knew exactly when the dogs were around. It's amazing that he knows what to say. Very intelligent little bird you got there. Very cute.
Naw the subtitles trick you into thinking you hear what they say. The bird will say the exact same thing twice, but she'll put 2 different subtitles... I thought this was pretty obvious to everyone but I guess not lol.
I love you guys. Oliver is so lucky to have been born into such a loving family. I still can't believe how much you hold all of your duties together, while maintaining such a smile and So much love. thanks for keeping all of us gotcha fans going with your videos after Oliver was born. I get so excited when I see a new post. xoxo🐦📹👶💗
Shows how intelligent he is. He, like most talking birds, repeats random things just because he wants to talk. But he knows what a lot of it means. He knew the dogs, and how to say "mom, help they are right here". I love parrot family birds.
Ok, that was simply amazing and that is an understatement. I just watched that cockatoo exhibit fear and state coherantly why he was fearful and when he was reassured he responded with his usual pet phrase of reassurance. I don't care what studies have been done by what scientists. You cannot tell me these birds are not self aware.
God I love him. and I've been a sub since the beginning and it has always blow my mind what an amazing job mom a does with gotcha , the baby, letty. the dog and her home at the same time. what an amazing person. look how amazing the bond is between gotcha and his mommy! I can't get enough of them. I have to rewatch my fab vids!!! quite often lol. I promise I'm not a stalker. believe it or not watching you guys helps me a ton. helps me cope w my chronic pain, mood swings depression, anxiety and other crap. So thank you gotcha and gotchas mommy!!!
+Marco Ramirez Um... It's not just because of the moodswings i'm pretty sure?? medical attention is quite serious with chronic pain, mood swings, depression and anxiety. Saying that it's "rude" to say that is basically just another way to say "let her suffer"
I always can smile watching Gotcha, but it makes it even more special that he has such a great Mom. You are as special as he is and he knows it. I hope your 'family human and otherwise knows it!!
you are so blessed to have a Moluccan...they are so loving . We had one named Tiki but she's no longer with us..So cool to see you taking her for walks with the baby....God Bless all of you
What a cutie, I think he knew what to say to his owner when the dogs started barking! He seemed quite nervous, and he was saying stuff to comfort her the best way possible,he obviously loves her loads, bless him x
Katie, the walk vids are a must have for me. Watching you, Gotcha and before/after Ollie is oddly soothing. Maybe you could cobble a few together for your very own stress relief channel! lol!
+Gotcha The Cockatoo Also: Can you 🐾LEASE, do a video on Gotcha's life story i.e. Age, sex, owners, favorite foods, toys, people, colors, activities, strange proclivities, favorite TV shows, what his vocabulary when you got him, what you taught him, favorite foods, what time he wakes up and goes to bed, what he's afraid of, could you touch or handle him when he came to you, did his first owner get him at a breeder or pet shop, was he caught wild or egg raised, etc. HIS FANS WANT TO KNOW!!! Can he paint and will he sell his art???
you are wonderful with your birds and so very patient. I really appreciate the love you show Gotcha. It's obvious how loved he is. Thank you for cring so much!
That's amazing how Gotcha uses certain valid words in situations, he's so smart! He's also one of the most adorable pets I've ever seen! That was also cute how he made 'kiss noises', I about died right there! Cute!
you can really tell how excellent of a bird mom you are , Gotcha is in incredible and only love, patience and experience can produce that happy and intelligent of bird he is . i love your videos , so happy i subscribed
+Gotcha The Cockatoo I love how you love your animals your awesome and Gotcha is so cute and funny I love watching your videos keep up the good work 😄😄😄
+Gotcha The Cockatoo I can really tell you taught him most of what he's saying in this video because it's in a clear young voice that sounds like you!!! Who taught him, "I'm not a theif!!!" "I'm not a city bird!!!"???

bugsy'sbff mine just flies with me where ever i go. Most of the time he's glued to my shoulder but every once n awhile he'll fly around a lil bit to stretch his wings or if something spooks him n he flies off real quick & hides in my jacket or shirt.
I love that you treat him as part of your family! Especially integrating your new baby with your feather baby. So many people kick aside their animals once a baby arrives, forgetting the commitment they made when buying a bird. Animals feelings have much worth too.
I love gotcha! Such a ham, makes me miss my dad's cockatoo. They are so fun but a ton of work, also they love eating the buttons off of the remotes -.- lol

for some reason i was waiting for gotcha to start barking back at the dogs

My mom's African gray barks like a dog and meows like a cat. It was funny when she had cats because she would call the over in my mom's voice.

@@ilovesesshomarusama716 Erm, how does that legitimise the words she's claiming the bird is saying in this video.
my bird hears barking so much, he does bark.

agreed

She's putting subtitles over gibberish. He's not saying anything
@@MyName_Jeff i heard the " doggy " and "he is right here" clearly. It was not subtitles trick. Though some of the words are subtitle tricks
It sounded like random bird sounds with subtitles over it to be completely honest in that part.
My cockatiel wakes me up just to say "Go away" then Gotcha is like "I love you". I know Pico loves me...he just doesn't know it yet...
Yeah, just like my girlfriend.
My first cockatiel was named Pico too.
But then she laid an egg and became Picolina.
She was so sweet...
