I love your new space! It looks calming and it is a perfect place to learn. We are about two months into our school year, and I struggle with consistency, too, due to trying to do too much while not having as much time as I want, especially when I also have a toddler to take care of and then life happens, lol. And I really love how you are using the planner. The Minimalist planner seems to be too much for me. I feel like I am writing the same thing three different places in a week lol.
@@shizenteaism Thank you so much, we've really been enjoying it. I agree even the minimalist planner I feel I wasted so much space with. This one is working nicely. Life is a challenge right!?! Lol everytime we build a good thing a trip or sickness comes round 🤣
Such a good idea of “homework” being independent math practice. Unfortunately, I’ve fallen into- grab your tablet, it’s after school, I have housework to do. But this is good! I’d much rather have her do additional math independently. Thanks from Ohio.
Your printed up schedule/guides are so inspiring- both visually and conceptually! I have a question for you--- we also have been working with those same sentence worksheets! I mostly love them, BUT: I realize I often question myself when the kiddos freestyle their sentences.... like, if it isn't the same sentence that's on the little 'answer key', I have a slight rush of panic that maybe I'm verifying a sentence that isn't actually grammatically correct 😱😓😅 I love the freestyle approach, but because I'm hoping to expose them to and model 'proper, strong sentences' (an actual defined goal for us this half), I find myself questioning carrying on with it. I'm curious what your thoughts and experience is with this resource... are you guiding them to stick to the 'answer key' or do your little ones come up with their own thing?
@@PhilomathicMama You are enlightening me...what answer keys are you referring to?! Lol I think this is part of the resource that I have failed to notice. To answer your question I do let her free style, but I make sure we have a subject predicate and it's actually building upon what could happen in the photo. Thank you for the kind words, I'm going to go look for this answer key now lol
@@knowledgebynature8480 I hope you found it LoL! It began around page 88 on our desktop here... the 'answers' are printed out in red. It's such a well rounded and fun resource, but I just hope I am guiding them true in their going rougue'ness- this is the stuff I worry about when I can't sleep at 2 a.m. 🙃😅 But this is why I really do continue to look towards a program such as Write By Number (even while pondering the reality of how much groceries I could procure for our family with that investment), because I crave the precise guidance in a situation where we are taking on grammatically correct examples to set the bar. I like the defined examples. We'll see, because I also do really have a big adoration for the creative aspect it provides. You keep shining, momma ✨ 🌻✨ I have been kind of binging on your videos over the past couple days- planning inspiration is something that is greatly needed, and I am taking note of the way you are using those wide open spaces! I have purchased four separate SchoolNest planners now and am still trying to figure out how to implement them with the way my brain works.... they are just so so so darn pretty though,. and I just love supporting Megan. At this point, it's almost become like a early 1990's Lisa Frank thing where I just revel in having them collected all together up on my shelf 🥳🥰😂
