Music:
At 8:15 woman taking care of one young one on her back and another in front. Priceless. The first drone footage was some of the best that you have done.
The Hmong are great people and I deeply respect them
The Bond you have with the Hmong People is precious. The Color of the fruits and vegetables at the Markets were so beautifully filmed. The drone shots of the landscapes coupled by a
beautiful musical score. Pure Genius . Well Done! 🙏❤🙏 All the best. Jim and Harriet. Richmond, Va.
Always great to see you both here and still enjoying the vids, Thanks Jim 😉
In the markets of Vietnam, there will always be people sitting around out front smoking cigarettes, but I didn't notice any smokers in this Hmong village. That gives me hope for the future.
I like how you turned around to get a shot of your thumbnail girl and said "How's that for a backdrop" speaking of the stunning mountain. You can't fool an old birdwatcher like me.
The drone shot of that big valley nestled among the old mountains is incredible. Just stunning.
I’m originally from central California! I went to the Hmong new year at Fresno
Fairgrounds many times. I had many Hmong friends back in high school. Good people! I love southeast Asian food because of them. God bless them!
That market loaded with fresh veggies, wish we had that availability.
Anyone who didn't watch to the end missed a treat, what a beautiful montage and music to go along with it :)
I have traveled to many countries of the world but I did not find like the countryside of Laos, it is a very beautiful country, the people are very kind in the countryside, I cut tickets and lost a lot of money, but no problem with this beautiful nature in Laos, because of this old man, I learned Much of the countryside of Laos, it is a very beautiful country. And the most beautiful is you, my dear sir, I love you so much, thank you again
Hi guys, how good was that mountain back drop, loving the black and white photos. Cant believe how gentle and friendly the Lao people are, thanks for sharing, cheers from Australia.
Wow just like Philippines also😊

The north is beautifully untouched. Love the drone moments.
Your videos are much appreciated Todd.
Great insight into life in Laos
Never get tired of rural Laos, it's so beautiful. The markets are such a great place to get to see the people. Love it.

Love your videos thank you 🙏🙏
Love the drone footage.
Nice job capturing the moment in the drone ending Todd! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I was so busy lately I missed some of the videos. Catching up now. As always, the videos are brilliant as are the aerial footage and especially the B&W stills. Never a disappointment watching your work and beautiful Laos. Take care, mate, always and thanks for sharing.
Colorful market with such a variety! I smile at the creativity of the mom rocking her little twins. Wonderful people!

Cheers Jordi, appreciate it mate 😉
These Hmong people's are similar to any other mongolian people's. And here you mentioned them as Laos, the Laos people's are also found to be in myanmar country. It was in early 80s when the country was facing hard time under military ruled as it happened this year 2022 these Laos people's came to india 🇮🇳neared the myanmar border. Old and young had stuggle alot during that time, of course we helped them with foods shelter and clothing. Some few youngs stayed for years and had left their homes 🏠after many years. How do they had separated to far flung places. 🔥🙏 The places are full of green 🟢mountainous yet to be develop. May be many hidden gold and diamonds are there in Lao. As newly created country more developments needs to take place. Such a wonderful places. 🔥🙏
The drone video over the rice field was great!
Awesome video Todd. Catching a glimpse of the rural life the Hmong live is lovely. It makes me think about how busy and chaotic life can be living in the United States. Photography is a hobby of mine and a particularly love taking black and white photos. Well done mate 🙏😊
Sounds like we have a few things in common Joseph.. gardening and photography 😁👍
Thank mate

Hopefully one day I can travel back and visit Laos and all the Hmong village and market. Plus my relatives that still live there. Being born in America, I have never met my relatives in Laos.

From South Africa!!!!would love ❤ to visit there
I am going to be in Vang Vieng next Thursday/Friday. Free beers for you and NeeNee if you are in the area and would like to meet up.
Good looking but back cauntry my friend.
Back country is where you'll see the real Laos 👌😉
Great video, what I notice is how most of the people in the market look at you - They're not seemingly very trusting. That aside what a great place to just explore.
7:26 this gave me a fright haha. Usually your videos are so relaxing so that woke me up 😆
thanks for reminding me to hit the thumbs up button Todd! after all your hard work and the entertainment your providing myself and many others its the least I can do. bye the way when's a good time to visit viet nam around the areas your showing
Thanks Ron.. I really appreciate that mate. It makes a huge difference to how UA-cam promotes videos to a wider audience. I just don't like asking people all the time.. So thank you
these scenes are very nice. reminds me of home in vietnam.
Such a beautiful country. I would love to visit. Great video! Sub'd
I like going to the markets in Southeast Asia. We have been through many of them. 👍
Hi, another good video, it looks like the older folk have had a tough life . Not a lot of smiles on their faces. And the smaller kids look like you are about to kidnap them , I imagine they don't see a lot of foreign faces. When I travelled MANY years ago before mobile phones and the internet. I was told that people thought that you were rich , due to the fact that you were in their country. And I never really had any problems . Nice to see you buying from them and nice of you to hand out food and clothing. Keep up the good work , and looking forward to the next chapter.
Hello my friend
The black and white stills near the end of video really gives picture of the essence of the people GREAT
Thanks John, I'm glad people are enjoying them 👌
ty..xoxo 🥰👍🤟✌
Nice video. You B/W pictures and general eye for the beauty of Laos is very keen. My wife, from northern Thailand, speaks Lao, some Hmong (and some Khmer). In Thailand her Hmong skills have gotten us invited to visit homes several times. It’s kind of like a rancher I worked for long ago. He spoke some Navajo. Just not common.
Hi, you’re in Laos right now. I am Hmong but I live in America. I like watching your videos and there’s a family that lives in Laos somewhere but I saw a cow falling in a big hole and they don’t have any ideas on how to help that cow out and it’s been at least a month and I still don’t know if the cow is out or not but since you’re there, I would appreciate it if you might check it out if the cow is still there. I’ll give you their youtube channel and your wife speaks laos and she could translate for you. Their channel is called vuj yaj thiab mas lis. If you can do this, I’ll be very happy and appreciative if you can.
Todd I am Hmong living in America and in this video I felt like going home because of the background conversations. You and I would have similar approaches cause you are modernized exploring a past that is still a present in Laos. Thank you for your videos I watch as many as I can especially when it is about Hmong people.
Thank you
“ Visual delight “ good description Todd - pretty sizable / impressive market for the locals - would they have that weekly ? Or more often - enjoyed 👍👌🙏
Hi Ant.. These type of markets are everyday, all day markets mate 👌
native Laos people and the scenery have similarities here in rural markets in the Philippines
Mate, the black and white stills near the end of the vids are great. Pls keep them as they add great context and mood to the stories. Cheers 👍
Thanks Mark, will do mate
Many Hmong where I live in the Pacific North West USA. They are very good hunters!
Love the black & white addition!
Btw, what model drone do you use?
That’s the Long Wheel Base model in the tractor mate 😂
Thx for always posting us hmong n giving you are bless i hope many good thing come your way bro
Hi brother,,the stilt house just before you crossed the wobbly bridge was kinda cool looking. Lots of pretty women at the market,,still pretty,,even projecting stinkeye. I had to lol at the mom warning her daughters about the farang. Cool drone shots of the rice fields a d the cool roofs. Lol. Stinkeye or not,,I liked the market. Safe travels my friends,,,Ttyl,,,Marlon
It was pretty cool ay! It's funny how that 'Farang' word really stands out.. I hear it all the time lol

You should start eating bitter melon, they're good for your health and will make you live forever.
Amazing! Which camera do you use to record your videos?
One of favorite trips of all time was to travel through Laos. Seeing the markets made me feel like I was back there again. 😊
The markets here are truly wonderful. It's where you get to see the real Laos.. Thanks for watching and commenting Keith
It’s LAO, not LAOS.
@@sx8472 it's both.. 😉
@@sx8472 The country was called the Kingdom of Lao in English language, but when translated into French, it became Royayume Du Laos that gave birth to a new spelling to the name of the country.
Whatever you like 👍🏻
@@keithminchin1817 Yes, absolutely. Many countries have different names depending on what part of the world you're from. Germany to Germans is Deutschland, Poland is Polska to its residents. Italy, Italia.. and so on. Lao or Laos to foreigners, whether the 'S' is pronounced or not is no big deal.. everybody knows where you mean 👌
Holy shit! I leaned in at the same time you did with the camera to see what was in the pail. About shit myself. Good one Todd.
Love my Hmong people ❤❤❤❤
Beautiful people! 🙏
@@NowinLao i visit Lao next month…. Hope to see you guys so we can have a drink bud!!!!
@@yatengyang3752 sounds good 😁👍
❤🎉
G'day Todd. I'm a keen bird photographer and have a fair bit of time in Cambodia. With all the rain forest there is in Laos have you ever thought about doing a segment on the birds and wildlife.
1:56 The "Grapes" look bloody delicious Todd.
Boa noite amigo gostei do seu vídeo abraço de um brasileiro 🇧🇷
Good observation, Sir. "Pis$ off" is a uniquely American/Western attitude, especially towards people of other races.

I like how used to cutie at 4:30 as your thumbnail
I like how you found her in the video.. 👌😉
Todd as always a superb vlog
Always enjoy your market stops
Strange white man with no hair and long nose called Australian draws suspicious stares
Todd one thing I haven’t seen in any of your blogs are the insects I used to see for sale in the markets when I was there ( mealworms crickets etc)
Glad the b&w photos are being included in all the recent vlogs to
Hey Ted how's things..? Yeah, they're there. Showed some locusts in this video. I've seen them that often in markets they don't really grab my attention anymore and maybe I just cruise on by.. Will keep an eye out for ya 😉
@@NowinLao Todd it goes Mate.
Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend
Well Todd, If they can smell you coming, maybe they are telling you something!😳
No, just joking. Great video as always. What can i say that hasn't already been said?
Keep on Keeping on!
I spend alot of time in thailand, near Udon Thani we goto Nong Khai alot lovely place, I notice in Lao that most of the roads are dirt? is this wide spread? and how does the vehicle handle it?
Hello Todd and Nee Nee, I have a questiion for you all. Once you mention that the women there wash their hair in rice water, can Nee Nee elaborate on that for us women in the western's world? Thanks
les gens ont la mémoire courte........
The mud floor though ... i would have to wear mud boots
I hadn't noticed the beautiful ladies. I'll pay more attention in class. Cheers 😘🥂😘
Good man.
I seee nutting! (In German accent) 😉
May I know the type of camera you are using? Beautiful images . I am planning to visit Lao for the first time in March 2023, will visit your restaurant as well
These images with my Fuji X100T. Other times my Fuji XT4. Most of video is captured on Gopro 👌
As far as i know, the cleanest country in ASEAN is Brunei Darussalam. I mean the environment is clean and neat. If you no agree. No problem. Only my opinion.
Greetings from Indonesia.
You're comparing one of the richest countries in the world to one of the poorest. 🙄
@@NowinLao I'm sorry. But in my opinion Laos has its own beauty and its own advantages too.
@@hikmahwibawa2782 Don't be sorry.. I totally agree 👌 All good 😉
