HELL YEAH, YAMAHA CLAVINOVA CLP153SG ON LOGIC PRO BABY! I always wanted the real piano feel onto logic, finally I understood how. Thanks good sir, hats off
Many thanks from me as well. Your video is informative and easy to follow. I didn't know what to do and with following your steps I was able to work through the problems I was having in such a short time. I really appreciate your efforts.
Hi man! Thanks for this video, but do you know how to use the built-in sounds? In yamaha P45 the piano sound is amazing and I'd like to use it directly in Logic Pro, without recording it in wave format, but directly using Usb connection.
Hi, can I ask which mac book pro are you using? because mine is Mac mini m1 and doesn't work at all... Probably because of the M1 chip, what do you think?
I’ve installed the driver three times and it’s still not working. After every installation it says I have to log out for it to be installed completely, I do that and follow the same steps you put in the video and it still doesn’t work😔 what do I do, I don’t know what else to do, I’ve literally tried everything
If it’s midi, you will need to pick a piano under software as an instrument in your DAW (Digital Work Station, like Logic Pro, etc) you can select any sound your software has for Midi. To record the actual piano sound, you’ll need to record your piano like a microphone or ‘line’ instrument, but you don’t get the benefits of the Midi data
@@KH-mq4rg hi , I already did everything in the video, but still can’t record audio from the keyboard ( i mean the original keyboard sounds) can i do it by this cable alone ? Thanks
Hi, what kind of keyboard are you using? You will need to install software drivers from the keyboard manufacturer. If you have Mac you will need to change your sound to Multi-Output Device, on windows I'm not sure, but probably something similar@@KhalidQahtani-md7im
@@KH-mq4rg thanks for replying, I’m using yamaha psr 3000, my question is can i record audio direct from the keyboard by using this cable ? Or do i need to get an interface ?
@@KhalidQahtani-md7im You can record directly to your computer without an interface, but it depends on what you want to record: 1. **Recording MIDI**: If you're just recording MIDI data (the notes you play, but not the actual sound from the keyboard), you can usually connect your Yamaha PSR-3000 directly to your computer using a USB cable if your keyboard has a USB-to-Host port. MIDI data is just information about which notes are played and how hard they're pressed, so it doesn't require an audio interface. 2. **Recording Audio**: If you want to record the actual sounds from your keyboard (the audio), then it gets a bit trickier. In theory, you can connect the headphone or line-out jack of your keyboard directly to your computer's line-in or microphone port using the appropriate cable. However, the sound quality might not be the best due to potential noise and lower quality of the computer's built-in sound card. An audio interface comes in handy here because it's designed to capture high-quality audio from external sources like your keyboard. It provides better sound quality, lower noise, and often has features like phantom power for microphones if you need that in the future. So, in summary: - For MIDI: No interface needed, just a USB cable. - For Audio: Direct connection is possible but an interface is recommended for better quality.
Hey man, great video, thank you! I wanted to ask you if it’s possible to play REAL-TIME different sounds than what FP-30X provides via VST into a DAW for example. I am sure there are better sounds out there than what FP-30X has available, that’s why I am looking into this. Lastly, will the audio be output from the monitors connected to the computer or do the monitors have to be connected to the FP-30X directly?
Thank you very much. I am useing Yamaha Clavinova digtal piano, and want to use my pc for recording my playing. You explained very simple way. Let's try and sure to give you the feedback.
Sir, thank you so much. One question. when you chose a vst (eg Keyscape), do you hear the sound of the vst when you play on your ydp 160? thx in advance
i dont know if i understood the question but look for local control in the manual, if you turn it off your keyboard will play whatever sound is on the pc (for example if you are using a synth on fl studio it will play its sound)
It looks like the driver step here is only required if you are using a Yamaha cable/UIX. Other cables likely come with their own drivers which should interface with your software. Cheers!

Hi, I have a Yamaha P-95 and I just can't figure out how to get it to send signal to my mac. I just bought a FORE MIDI to USB cable to connect to my piano, I have the out and in reversed, and my computer is recognizing that there is a USB MIDI interface connected; however, it WILL NOT send signal no matter what I do. I read that this cable should be plug and play but that didn't work so I downloaded the software you covered in this video and it still doesn't work. I am using FL Studio 21 and I have an Akai MPK mini keyboard that I have connected before so I know my settings are not off.
