Been watching for years. Quarantine 2020 gave me time to start at the beginning and introduce my husband to you guys. We haven't watched tv in weeks. Just Kara and Nate! Excited to see you get to my favorite!!! Lived in SA for 7 years. LOOOOOVE Cape Town!!!!!
same!! I started watching them about 3-4 months ago and haven’t been able to stop. i’m completely hooked!! I wish my husband could get into their videos like I do.
I started watching today and I've already fallen in love with this channel. Also I have been living in South Africa for my whole life which is 13 years.
@@pualaniproud Yes but if you enjoy the vlogs you would watch anyways. Having "Clickbait" titles shouldn't stop you from watching. Plus titles are superposed to spark interest about something that happens in the Vlog. Clickbait is when you trick people into watching a video which has misleading title or a thumbnail which has nothing to do with the videos. I was in Cape Town a year and a half ago and I was supper cautious about exploring on my own for my final 2 days. Glad I did as long as you are vigilant like I was taking Ubers everywhere I felt safe. However this video just demonstrates the bad side of South Africa that shouldn't put people off going.
Even though this was a click bait-y title, it was amazing how many people ran to help the woman as soon as she began yelling! There are good people all over the world!!!
I’m watching this 5 years after I first subscribed. And wow Kara’s accent has really changed. Today she sounds less Tennessee. Also, the filming is soo different. 2022 vlogs are more slick. I love this.
Shes saying its clickbait because they made it out like kara got mugged not someone else like the picture shows kara looking scared holding her chest..... Clearly 4 people dont understand what clickbait is
Chelsea Clemons How does Kara holding her chest looking scared make someone presume anything without actually watching the video. Would you be scared if you were a woman who witnessed someone being robbed? Or just presume that your not in immediate danger. Clickbait is when someone creates a false title that states something happens in the video that really doesn’t just to get views. Whatever it was something happened in this video.
As a South African, i would like to clarify that it is not like everyday is crime day, there are some places safer than others and as long as you know what you want, you are safe
I'm years late to this video, but my parents are from South Africa and it's one of my most favorite countries in the world. Also a very dangerous place, so I'm honestly not surprised you saw that. Happens often. I have loads of stories of dangerous experiences in SA.
HankyDorry My parents moved to the US in 93, and I was born and raised here. Used to go to SA every year from 2000-2010 until my grandparents passed away.
I did the same hike... and yea, I literally thought I was gonna die... you're like at the edge of the mountain with no protection... once was enough for me never... and the cable cart was being repaired so had to hike down another 6 hours so a total of 12 hours of hike for me... not doing it anytime soon... oh and I love y'all vlogs...
The Owner of the Apartment Building I live in here in Auckland, New Zealand used to live in SA a few years ago with his wife. He told us how bad the crime is there, even in the more wealthier areas (Where he lived and was a Doctor there). LOTS of shootings, muggings etc. He said NEVER go out at night, unless you were either armed or had protection. It really is that bad there..
Aw glad you guys got to experience my city but so sad you witnessed someone getting mugged... unfortunately our country just isn’t as safe as it used to be... we are busy immigrating to Canada and hope for a safer life for our kids, when we eventually have them 😋
I really enjoy watching your videos! So inspiring! Kara - where do you buy your travel clothes from? I especially like the hoodie you're wearing with the large zip in this video. Keep posting and traveling! 🙏✈️🌄
That really isn't true. Cape Town, South Africa in general is a stunning country however, just like a lot of other countries, you have to be vigilant. It is a 3rd world country and a lot of people are really struggling.
I am sorry for the experience in Cape Town, certain parts aren’t the best but others are better hope you had a better experience from my beautiful home town🇿🇦
Around the 2.34 min. you're crossing the street and the hotel on the right is where I stayed whilst in Capetown. So funny to recognize the places you've visited😊
Love this! I visited Cape Town for business in 2009 or 2010 and Climbed Lions Head (You brought back a ton of memories) and took the "Cable Car" to the top of Table Mountain! :) Loved every min of it! So jealous that you were able to climb Table mountain, I asked if it was possible, but everyone said to take the Cable Car. :) You guys are doing Great! I am enjoying your time in Argentina. If you get a chance go up about 3hrs North to Rosario, it is a great little city with a ton of culture. Enjoy and be safe! :)
You guys are amazing ..a breath of fresh air...I thoroughly enjoy all of your videos..Ps ..I'm from Cape Town and your videos just radiate a whole new perspective on its beauty.. thanks for presenting us with these awful clips.. stay fresh. We love you...
Excuse me. Don’t disrespect a country you don’t know anything about. South Africa is one of the most beautiful places. And crime is in every part of the world.
Kara, I agree with Nate that you should climb that mountain again. It will be easy after your trek to Everest Base Camp. Thank you for you vlogs, love watching your adventures everyday
Kara !!!! I thought u got mugged! So glad it wasn’t you. And u also remind me of myself. My husband talks me into longer scary hikes too. And I do them. Just like you! Good for y’all. Enjoy it!!
Cape Town City centre is safe enough although it's never a good idea to wear expensive jewellery or hand bags etc but that applies to many major cities around the world as well. I've lived in Cape Town for over 50 years and never been mugged. I wouldn't live anywhere else.
Nothing says welcome to South Africa then a mugging... When I was there I saw a car jacking at some traffic lights and I was 'pressured' into buying a packet of cigarettes for a police officer wielding a baton... but I had an awesome time!
I'm really curious to know if this hike was noticeably easier this time around after the conditioning from the Everest base camp trek 2 months prior. Stunning view!
Cape Town is the only place that my wife and I have experienced a person trying to steal our iPhone. In Cape Town you gotta be on high alert and carry a knife if possible.
Hey guys! just wanted to quickly say love your vlogs! You both have completely inspired me to do some travelling of my own! (We have 3 small children though, so we are just going to spend 5 months and travel around australia for now! - We live in Darwin, Northern Territory) I want to get a vlogging camera so i can make videos to keep/upload and was just wondering what camera you's use? and what video editor? Any response would be greatly appreciated! keep up the great work Kara & Nate! Safe travels
+Sentance Family i LOVE this comment :) traveling as a family is so special! So happy we could encourage family time! We use the Canon g7x and edit on Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Occasionally we use go pro session or canon 6d, but g7x daily. If you have an apple laptop, iMovie is free and a great start for video editing. Have so much fun and let me know if you have any questions :) -Kara
+Kara and Nate oh my gosh! You replied!! Thank you! And yay that's great, after 2 constant weeks on google I actually ordered the G7x this morning!!! So to see your comment has made me happy that I made a good choice! Also just purchased my MacBook yesterday! With iMovie will I be able to add the music in etc, or is it all just basic functions? Ps, just wanted to say not only have you's inspired my husband and I to do something completely out of character for us (the travelling) but I love that in every single situation you are put into, from eating bugs in Thailand, to trekking base camp, bunjy jumping, to staying in a capsule hotel, you are just so positive and happy!! It may seem wierd, but you've really inspired me to try and look for the good in every situation! Thanks heaps again for replying Kara! Can't wait to see what you's get up to next!! :-) Tamie
Aww Tamie! 1. Great job on the camera choice! 2. Yes you can put music to your videos and a lot of other great effects! 3. YOU are so sweet! Thank you for the encouraging words, it means so much! Not weird at all, you just made my day! Finding joy in every situation isn't easy sometimes, but always possible :) Good luck with your planning and travels! I'll look forward to seeing if you post anything, God bless you and your family
No problems at all! Thank you for sharing your life and adventures with us all!! (Ps, keep uploading pics on instagram, because thats actually where i found you's!! :-)Thank you for all of your advice! When we take off in 3 weeks and start our adventure i will be sure to msg you back and let you know how we are going :) Take care guys x
Beautiful, but watching those heights and steps going up make my knees shake haha....what's the name of the apartment you are staying, looks good and spacious 👍

I’m replying a bit late but I just recently started watching them a few months ago and I can’t stop! I love travel vlogs, especially Trev and Chels
I started watching today and I've already fallen in love with this channel. Also I have been living in South Africa for my whole life which is 13 years.
No guys, the clickbait titles in all caps are not for you! You guys are quality, you are awesome.
It isn’t clickbait, they never said “Kara got mugged!”
@@icyunit3476 ohh come on.....really pure click bait!
Yeah, it’s been one of several. Put me off the channel now.
Agreed, and that’s not the first time that happened.

Don't resort to click bait titles please, you guys don't need to plus it worried people including me. Much love as always xx
how do you call it click bait , you didn't see the woman get attacked
180 people didnt even watch untill 2:50
It definitely was not click bait. A person was clearly in distress.
Shes saying its clickbait because they made it out like kara got mugged not someone else like the picture shows kara looking scared holding her chest..... Clearly 4 people dont understand what clickbait is

Although this was an unfortunate thing that happened, I love seeing how most everybody cared so much and got involved on instinct.
When he said ‘go in front of me so if you fall i’ll catch you’ was so sweet 💕
“you go in front of me so if you fall i’ll catch you” the sweetest🥺
Nate: "If you fall I'll catch you"
Kara: "At least get it on video"
THIS is why you are awesome vloggers!!! :)
Lol. Your title paired with the thumbnail of a sad looking Kara is a bit misleading but happy you guys are safe.
It's called clickbait :) And yeah SA can be dangerous.
I love how the title of this vid is “she got mugged” and the vid starts with looking at mugs XD
SHE DID GET MUGGED!
AND IT WAS FULL WITH COFFEE ☕️!
She as in another person got mugged in front of them
That's funny
I like how, in almost every video, Nate brings Kara a lovely cup of coffee for her in bed and I just find that so cute!
As a South African, i would like to clarify that it is not like everyday is crime day, there are some places safer than others and as long as you know what you want, you are safe
Somehow, open sandals don't seem like the best choice of footwear for mountain climbing but I guess they worked OK for you.
So great to see what you guys get up to! Really enjoyed watching. What an adventure you are on. x
Nate - great cinematography. Kara - you're always so chic^. Great job!
Thank you ;)
Oh my goodness! I'm glad that you guys are safe! That poor woman though. You two better be street smart while you're traveling!
That was an amazing sunset! The vlog was okay too guys. Looking forward to the next one.
I have watched your Everest hike and am so surprised to see Kara was not a fan of hiking. What a good sport she is now!!!
I'm years late to this video, but my parents are from South Africa and it's one of my most favorite countries in the world. Also a very dangerous place, so I'm honestly not surprised you saw that. Happens often. I have loads of stories of dangerous experiences in SA.
Are you still in sa?
HankyDorry My parents moved to the US in 93, and I was born and raised here. Used to go to SA every year from 2000-2010 until my grandparents passed away.
Yah

Whew! I thought you meant Kara got mugged! Stay safe... South Africa has a reputation!
Same
She as in another person got mugged in front of them
you climbed to the top of Table mountain with sandals, Kara??
I really enjoyed watching you guys in Kenya. Sorry for the flight cancellation though.....hope you come back soon
Aw glad you guys got to experience my city but so sad you witnessed someone getting mugged... unfortunately our country just isn’t as safe as it used to be... we are busy immigrating to Canada and hope for a safer life for our kids, when we eventually have them 😋
Once again Kara is more than impressive. What a trooper
Cape town looks so beautiful in this video. You've really captured the beauty of it. :D
Y'all always have such good music on the vlogs! Keep it up! :)
I really enjoy watching your videos! So inspiring!
Kara - where do you buy your travel clothes from? I especially like the hoodie you're wearing with the large zip in this video.
Keep posting and traveling! 🙏✈️🌄
When I read the tilte i was lile...yup happens all the time here
You have to be careful in South Africa, you will definitely get mugged especially if you wonder into the wrong places.
EazyKM I
i live in cape town

@@taliapritchard829 the streets look like canada or USA
I used to live there that is not true
Guys it’s not clickbait watch to 2:50
Great vlogs! Where do you guys get those sandals from? They look comfortable for travel.
They look like chacos to me
I live there and you got to hold tight of money, expensive things, and mostly valuables. Never leave the house with a bereft case. No joke

Excuse me. Don’t disrespect a country you don’t know anything about. South Africa is one of the most beautiful places. And crime is in every part of the world.
God forbid anything bad. please take care both of you
That intro got me thinkin you made coffee in mugs. Then I read the description. Then I commented. Then I liked. Then i watched the video!
Kara, I agree with Nate that you should climb that mountain again. It will be easy after your trek to Everest Base Camp. Thank you for you vlogs, love watching your adventures everyday
wow, spectacular views from the mountains to the ocean !! Nice but careful guys and think twice before you do anything scary things
Love The VLOG! great video hike, we love Capetown when we visited two years ago, but missed out on the hikes due to very high winds :(...
Thank you! :) And yes it is SUPER windy here!
Thanks, Nelson. Thanks a bunch.
That title is beneath you. Come on, guys!
Kara !!!! I thought u got mugged! So glad it wasn’t you. And u also remind me of myself. My husband talks me into longer scary hikes too. And I do them. Just like you! Good for y’all. Enjoy it!!
"at least get it on video""😂
WOW... I really loved this one... you guys are such an inspiration :)
What a wonderful welcome to South Africa - Cape Town usually has violent murders and hijackings but the rest of the country is not as bad . . .
Don't talk shite.
Loved the accommodations and sights!
Great vlogs! I have enjoyed all your vlogs, especially Asia and now Africa. I know who to contact when I start mine. Keep up the good work.
Watching this in 2020 and must say quite brave to walk in CPT, From South Africa myself
One of the best Intros on UA-cam. Amazing sunset!
Beautiful views ❤❤
I love this music, where canI get it?
Wait... you climbed all around the Everest Base Camp, and this little mountain is too much?
Sadly as a South African i gotta say this and worse has become a way of life for us. Always waiting to get mugged or robbed or worse.
The difference between Durban and Cape Town is crazy. I would never walk around in Durban that is too dangerous 😂
Cape Town City centre is safe enough although it's never a good idea to wear expensive jewellery or hand bags etc but that applies to many major cities around the world as well. I've lived in Cape Town for over 50 years and never been mugged. I wouldn't live anywhere else.
Truly majestic- very jealous as its wet here in London!
Did you guys enjoy the biltong and please come to Randburg joburg
Love the bloops.

yeah sounds great...
Our first night in Johannesburg we almost got mugged my friend had a gun pointed at his stomach he punched the guy and we were able to run off
I'm really curious to know if this hike was noticeably easier this time around after the conditioning from the Everest base camp trek 2 months prior. Stunning view!
Awesome vlog guys!!
Don't do that again... EVER!!!
I have seen other travel vloggers have problems in Cape Town as well. Still such a beautiful place though
Kara is incredibly brave.
I imagine that after Everest Base camp....this hike was a piece of cake! Was it?
Definitely not on the same level as Base Camp trek!
Where is the link to your first South Africa trip?
just linked it in the description! Thanks for the reminder!
I love how Kara has her limits! lol
I live is South Africa and u really shouldn’t walk around it’s not safe
0:15 That is not how you fill a kettle, the lid should come off
What’s the name of the Airbnb you stayed at?
Were you guys there in Cape Towns winter? I am thinking of studying abroad in Cape Town this summer (winter in CT). Is it worth going in winter?
That boy steeling happens almost every day in South -Africa
That's for sure
Happens in Kenya as well
Cape Town is the only place that my wife and I have experienced a person trying to steal our iPhone. In Cape Town you gotta be on high alert and carry a knife if possible.
Love your climbing experience. The sunset views were beautiful. Thanks for sharing it with the world. 👍
Thanks for watching!
Their trip to Robben Island was really cool.
Nate ! You are doing a great job ! Keep it up !
As beautiful surroundings and landscape as it gets in the Cape, but the city itself is not the safest place to be.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful video is very beautiful country you very lucky to be in the beautiful place very good clean air thanks
