- This was one of those last minute, hastily arranged group flights which turned out to be a spectacular evening of formation flying with mates. Join Me, Giles Fowler, Mark Hilton, Ian Goddard and Martin Horan as we fly our FlyLight flexwing trikes in formation from Darley Moor airfield to The Roaches mountain climbing ridge in Staffordshire. taking in some amazing sights on the journey.

Absolutely. Having the flexibility to fly at a huge range of airspeeds give you so much flexibility. I love my NiNE. Time for some upgrades though🤫

Thanks for taking us along. A hand throttle would be nice to have. How is the smaller wind screen you have working out? Do you think it's enough?
Taller screen and hand throttle on the shopping list. Quite a lot of wind buffeting at the higher airspeed with the small screen which you can probably hear on the videos. It’s not uncomfortable but I’m hoping a taller screen might quieten things down a bit. 👍
That to me, is what microlighting is all about. It's your own aircraft and if you want a bible, you go. I like your kids on their bikes analogy.
It just came to me in a moment of inspiration. It’s absolutely true though, it so reminds me of playing out with my mates when I was a kid and I still have to make sure I’m home before it gets dark! 👍
What can I do to ride along in a two-seater next time I visit England? 😅
Easy enough. Find a microlight school near where you are (BMAA website will show you where they are) . Most schools offer experience flights and will be only too happy to take you up. 👍
