The Elf and Vampire questlines really showed Runescape does indeed hire writers, because they're super interesting. I've never once cared about any NPC or boss before. The vampire questline especially. Such a good series of quests and bosses.
That's an interesting take. When I used to play, I never paid attention to the lore behind them. I just did the quests so I could get it over with lmao 😂😂.

I’m convinced Settled doesn’t actually need a Bowfa and he knows it. dude could run inferno with a rcb and mith bolts and pray flick perfectly for 10 hours straight and be done, but he’s taking these side quests to give us more content. Thank you Settled, for thinking of your viewers and taking the scenic route
He *can* do it without Bowfa, but Settled's whole content has never never "cheese one offs". Quite frankly, inferno is fucking hard and he probably hasn't done it in years. Bowfa is definitely needed for a "real" run.

When I first discovered you Settled I was spoiled. Hours and hours of content ready for viewing. Until there was none left. And the wait for content has me scouring my UA-cam suggested and subscribed list hoping and praying for the next tileman video. So excited to watch.

As an rs3 player that has never done or seen song of the elves I actually think it's really cool that despite the sometimes antagonistic relationship between the games it didn't stop the oldschool devs from drawing from rs3's content when appropriate. Plague's end and Priffdinas were some of the best additions to rs3 that were made after EOC and It is really cool to see that oldschool got to enjoy it with their own little twists to it.
Getting through the seren fight without brews, guthix rests, or the pheonix necklace method first try is insane. Very impressed. Looking forward to the red prison content.
Skill and luck. The fight is a DPS check and he was super lucky to hit that well in mystics and 84 magic. My iron took 3 attempts with 89 magic and full ahrims with exactly the same food because sometimes I just splashed too much.

I don’t play RuneScape but it’s been awesome seeing you break through this challenge. It’s also awesome to see all the elves having Welsh names, including Prifddinas (which translates to Main city), weird to see my language used in a game.

I love the videos!!! I really liked the slightly and I mean fairly slightly slower pace of the previous episodes though. I love this series so much I just have trouble understanding things that happen too fast. I love KempQs videos but it's hard for me to process what's going on as his editing as gotten faster pace. I love the energy and how excited you are to complete this quest and I loved watching this multiple times to really get it, just hoping you continue slightly slower paced videos like the Swampletics series and previous Tillman episodes. Love seeing you so excited about a goal but I loved longer cuts and you explaining thoroughly and slowly as you went along. Much comfier to binge and rewatch
In RS3, you fight full-force Seren. She's tough! She's distracted the whole time, and unbeatable. You're just trying to buy time...for the evacuation. You know how it is. Seren gets all quackers and tries to commit a gēñøčïdê.
It's incredible how enthralling and fun this is to watch. The editing, the storylines, the dedication and all the strange roundabout ways to do everything. I've never played Runescape a day in my life, and this is by far the most fun I've ever had watching something. I just would like to say, how wild it is to me, that your tileman series is what finally made me start trying out OSRS when I never played it before. I watched a lot of OSRS series. And here... Well, after ~7 months of playing I effectively entered Prifddinas at the same time as your Tileman account seemed to. It kind of felt a bit surreal. It's been a long time since I felt as accomplished doing something in a video game. It's also fascinating to start understanding so many more bits and pieces of the all the OSRS series I've watched, and then re-watched From humble beginnings, fishing + cooking in Edgeville with full Ironman armor because I didn't know about Run energy, to actually taking down some substantial bosses. It's been a journey, and not over yet Thank you for sharing your stories, you're a fantastic inspiration :)
I only extremely casually played Runescape as a kid, I always liked what I saw of it but didn't have the game knowledge to really go out and see much, I lacked social connections to get me into the game, and I didn't have a membership and going up against the member's only barriers as a kid put me off. Seeing the game played like this years later is so fascinating, it's a really compellingly edited challenge run of a game I only scratched the surface of, thank you for your time and effort, I really enjoy these videos!

Got into a fight with my boss and may not have a job anymore, however this random guy on runescape struggling with moving his character 10 steps relates to me on a level that doesnt make sense. Keep it up settled! Hope to see more challenges! Maybe a UIM "nuzlocke" where you can only obtain one of any item at any point and if you use it or drop it, it can't be replaced (exceptions for skilling and random events)

Congratulations on the first SOTE clear, it’s a great quest lore wise and the feeling of seeing Prifddinas the first time again is something I would bottle if I could.
I would recommend you rethink the tile investment on gauntlet. Usually you can get away with only opening 26 of the rooms (including start and hunleff) in corrupted you don’t have time to explore any more than that. I just hope you don’t spend too long grinding tiles that you wouldn’t ever realistically use.

I don't even play Runescape but love your dedication to something, very enjoyable to watch, Not sure if it's possible (see: Never played Runescape) but what about a challenge where you can only walk on each tile 1 time? or some very harsh limit. Seems like it would require a lot of planning and forethought on what to do, might not set a lofty goal for it, but I had the idea and figured I would ask. I also learn more about the game if someone just says it's a stupid idea and impossible, win/win!
Settled videos are just the biggest dopamine hit for me. Can’t wait for the next episode. Hopefully by that time I’ll have finished that quest on my own Ironman.

I would recommend you rethink the tile investment on gauntlet. Usually you can get away with only opening 26 of the rooms (including start and hunleff) in corrupted you don’t have time to explore any more than that.
I just hope you don’t spend too long grinding tiles that you wouldn’t ever realistically use.

I don't even play Runescape but love your dedication to something, very enjoyable to watch, Not sure if it's possible (see: Never played Runescape) but what about a challenge where you can only walk on each tile 1 time? or some very harsh limit. Seems like it would require a lot of planning and forethought on what to do, might not set a lofty goal for it, but I had the idea and figured I would ask. I also learn more about the game if someone just says it's a stupid idea and impossible, win/win!
