Interesting you selected the G85 vs the G9 or G9ii. Also interesting you selected the GX85 as your backup camera. I’d have selected the GX9 as my backup camera. Not for the 20MP sensor. I love the L monochrome D B&W jpeg. The contrast and crushing the blacks makes this a necessity for me. I value the small size and lightweight features. I almost always mention that Panasonic should have included an audio jac in the GX85/9. Hoping for an update for the GX8. Of course it will acquire the PDAF. Nikon Z8 is what I use for a hybrid. I moved on from the Panasonic G9mk2. I found that acquiring focus was a little slow. That’s my experience and maybe not yours……
I use my cameras 99% for shooting still images. So video features are not important for me. Today I used my Canon EOS 1000D. It's a nice basic DSLR without much bells and whistles. But my One Camera would be my Olympus Pen E-PL8. I can adapt every lens that I own to it. It has very good in body IS and many other useful features, all I need.
I used to own the Olympus E-PL6, had a lot of fun and great pictures with that camera. I kinda regret selling it, but I have way too much cameras already 😁
I don't shoot much video and use both the GX9 and GX85. The GX85 is sightly smaller but the GX9 has a 20 MP sensor.

I have, M10R, mono, M11, M6, MP , X2D, none of them satisfy me
