    I've never done a tattoo but I've gotten a few from different artists. How do you know how deep to go? I got one from an apprentice in 2017 and ppl say she went too deep because the tattoo bulges out of my skin. Then I got another and the lines are thinner and there's no bulging so I'm guessing that one wasn't as deep?

    I think your holding the machine wrong. I can see the needle is in the air which will snag on the skin depending what direction you are going in. The open part of the cartridge should always point up or towards your face, the needle should rest next to the in reservoir. I just got a mast flash machine and been practicing on fake skin too 😁 nice video ! !😀

      You can get cheap stencil paper off Amazon, although Spirit brand stencil paper is most trusted/used by tattoo artists ☺️ I believe you can also purchase Spirit brand off Amazon, just be careful because there’s a lot of reviews claiming damaged or even fake Spirit stencil papers!

    • @chriss8359
      @chriss8359  3 роки тому +3

      Hi! I usually use 5 round liner for my line work while doing handpoke but for the tattoo machine I typically like to use 3RL or 5RL as well 🥰 somewhere I’ve also read that 7RL is good for thicker lines too! Good luck girl and thank you for your comment! 🖤

    • @miley9041

      @@chriss8359 Thank you! I saw your description after commenting eheh. I just wanted to know which ones where better (since lines often thicken up on the skin after some years). I will try 3RL and 5RL for now!

    • @chriss8359
      @chriss8359  3 роки тому

      Yes, try these, I think it looks the best! I have some machine tattoos from other artist done with 3RL and it looks decent 🖤

    • @LTV23
      @LTV23 2 роки тому

      @@miley9041 you are correct, as the tattoo heals\ages lines tend to expand. However, the thinner the lines (smaller the needle grouping) the more likely it is to fade. Hence why they say “bold holds”. Also keep in mind, the bigger the needle grouping, the more stable. So if you are starting out, start with using 5-7rl and up, as you go down to 3rl-1rl you’ll find it A LOT harder to do clean crisp lines. Smaller needles tend to show more inconsistencies in line work as well! And if you keep having to go over a line, it’ll only make the lines thicker. 😊

      Be sure to practice on fake skin first before you practice on yourself! And when you are ready to work on yourself, make sure to practice on your legs so that you can get a nice taut stretch to evenly deposit the ink! Don’t be afraid to sketch in the lines and sculpt your lines! Better to go lighter and have to touch it up then go too deep and blow it out! Best of luck! ☺️

    • @LTV23

      @@ghostalk2em159 very true, as the wireless battery runs out of juice, it doesn’t hit as hard. I switch off between the two though I tend to go wireless more- I like using the battery just for the ease of not having to deal with the wire. But I do like the pedal because I the machine shuts off as soon as my foot is off rather than having to hold the button on the battery down to shut off 😅

      Cheyenne are the best brand you can find in the tattoo world And the HAWK Spirit thunder and the HAWK PEN have 2 years waranty from Cheyenne . You also have Eikon fkirons inkjecta Stigma kwadron sunskin Ava Bishop they made very very good tattoo machine but the price are not the same. Dragonhawk propose a good quality machine right now with the mast archer, FliP, but the mast tour pro doesent have enough power she’s to weak also like the mast original and the mast tour you are usine. If I have onéreuse last Word go to Cheyenne fkirons or bishop it will coast at least 600€ but it’s well made you have enough power and if you learn to tattoo well this rotarys are for you you don’t be desapointed with these brand
