The proper term, as I understand it, is a "Haunt" of ghosts. A Haunt of Ghosts, a Horde of Zombies, a Pack of Ghouls, and a Clatter (the sound of bones clattering) of Skeletons.
The shael phase blade made some sense when only weapon speed mattered. Even now, if you have access to a phoenix shield (bis for the build anyway), it's serviceable. Thing is, melee druids really need leech. Waiting for corpses to get your juices back is both risky and annoying. Not to mention all those fire immunes, you explained it pretty well as always. Fast high dmg weapons are the way to go. My fire druid uses death berserker axe and lawbringer phase blade on switch. 8 and 7 fpa respectively, not bad :) As for the build itself it's alright, and quite flashy if you use armaggedon. Fury trumps it though of course, especially in high player games. The issue with fire claws is not damage, now that sunder charms exist and there are nice - res items. It's the attack itself. It maxes out at 6fpa/single target with 2h weapons and even then it feels *nothing* like fury. It's slow-ish, single target and it gets interrupted a lot, especially if you use a shield. Bear in mind however that like most diablo nerds I have played this game way too much, to the point that I'm blind to anything that is not more or less effective at endgame (p5-8 terror). Congrats and thank you if you read my stupidly long comment :)
Awesome, im not well versed in the druid class, but got a 3os pelt drop with +3fireclaw/+3volcano. Totally gonna roll a flickering flame and make a FC druid. This helps so much with the ins and outs of the build. Bravo good sir!🤘💯
Thanks for the vid! I like going niche builds, as my main druid is werewolf with windhammer leveling synergies for twister/hurricane while my ladder druid is a werebear with Earth Shifter leveling synergies for fissure/armageddon. Never made a werebear before or used fireclaws so this vid helps :)
Thanks for this. Honestly never thought about the fact that maul or feral rage increased physical damage even with fire claws. That just never clicked for me but that would in fact be extremely helpful exactly for the fire immunes like you said
Thanks for doing this video bro because that’s what I’m building rn. I’m trying to farm up sur runes so I can get a Hand of Justice and a Dragon armor to stack w this build
How about something like flamebellow? Will that add +3 to fire skills? Then you could do synergies of firestorm on attack... Not the best example but I'm also thinking things like rising sun, lava gout etc
You forgot about Carrion Vine as source of life steal. You don't need to put more than 1 point into it, and you'll get pretty good life steal with skillers. It'll give you 8% life replenish on level 7 and 9% on level 10. Yes, it's fragile, but it can be resummoned for cheap, and it's free life replenish in background.
I don't consider it life steal. Life steal keeps you alive, even if nothing dies. Carrion vine requires bodies to heal. Which means it's often useless when it's needed most
Yeah, the most damage you can do is bear form and 6 shael sword. Yes, it leaves you with only fire damage.. but the swing speed is insane. It makes being a wolf worthless at that point. Sure, you only do fire damage.. but look at the gear you are already using. If that's a big deal then just getting an infinity merc would be easy for you.
I initially thought fireclaw was like other abilities where it converts the damage of your attack but it just adds additional fire damage. Which I will say from a leach life/mana perspective it's a good ability. But there's definitely alot better. I specifically built a fireclaw druid in hopes to farm NM Andy. Time wasted? Probably.
Ginger I never really thought about it but I’m assuming holy fire packages nicely with this to bump the melee dmg and give some level of AoE hmmm might try it
Holy fire doesn't really give much damage unless it's synergized. That said hand of justice does have negative fire resistance which could come in handy
Hey GGM can you make a video about Thunder Storm? On one of your streams you wanted to hand someone a Thunder Storm prebuff staff and I also found one myself but it does not seem to do any damage at all. Can you go through it and explain this ability?
Thunderstorm requires synergies and lightning mastery. If you don't have lightning Mastery at the very least it's not going to do very much damage at all. Even maxed out it's not going to be a main source of damage but it is a supplemental source of damage
@@GGMentor ye I know but it wasn't striking at all. I saw one strike once I cast it and then nothing running near enemies. I don't expect it shooting like machine gun but more frequent than one time in eternity. Maybe it's like a recoil dmg like one of the shields that shoots off frost bolt when attacked? I don't know.
Depends on the build, also depends on if you need the attack speed, or if the attack speed gets you to a new breakpoint or not. Because breakpoints are specific levels of attack speed that have to be reached to see a change often times you will achieve the best Breakpoint you can and forgo anymore attack speed because it's worthless. I.E. lets say your breakpoint was 200% and the next is 400%. You can easily reach 200% but cap out at 335%. That means that 135% of your attack speed is wasted doing nothing in this scenario. It's better to remove that 135% and focus on more useful stats.
Any bow/crossbow weilded before transformation into a werewolf or werebear becomes melee weapons in shape shifted form. Unfortunately the exploding arrows only work with ranged not melee.
absolutely I built an entire character around it. Synergy bonuses apply to the skill at the level on the item. If you have max synergies, and lvl 13 on an item it is a fully synergized lvl 13 version of the skill. Also Synergy bonuses can be Verifiably tested with skills like Enchant.
@@GGMentor this is my first diablo 2 playthrough as i never got around beating it on pc back in the day. I always had too many rts games. Is fireclaw or the stun attack better for all around attack?
This skill is fucking broken af 😳best weapon for fireclaws is a 3 os eth tomb reaver, or cheaper is 4 os Gris caddy. U want fast hard hitting weapon, and the sockets in those should not be shaels... 15% ias 15 ias or 120+ atk rating jewels
Eh since the change to the synergies there is so much more customization u can do. Before it was literally only 3 gear setups you could of used, and max block is preferable over two hander... Cept maul change makes it more appealing since it gives huge ias boost now also. I run one of these rn, there sick af and can kill anything in the game faster then a foher or even a hammerdin if u got a Merc running lawbringer/headstriker combo

Im rather enjoying the bear version of fire claws honestly. Might be a bit slower but a bulldozer doesnt need to get anywhere quickly to bulldoze

Just a word of warning, holy fire aura does like next to no dage without synergies from paladin or fire Mastery

Grief should pair nicely with the added fire damage

What happens if you equip a ranged weap on the FireClaws? If you equipped the Demon Machine would your claw swipes explode?

Buriza-Do Kyanon is a brilliant Fury weapon: IAS, ED, cold damage, Freeze, Defense, and Dex.

I’m confused. As a Druid, when you shapeshift and attack as a werebear or werewolf, your equipped weapon still affects your damage dealt?
Yes your weapon becomes your paws, even a crossbow works as paws 🐾
