Thanks, but I can't figure out what I'm doing today, I did this and it read A. Now D keeps reading F#, really sharp. I can't figure out what's wrong. I can't even get the first note of the first song right. Me: No...don't cry
Hi. If you adjusted the mouthpiece until you got a concert A on your tuner, then you have done it right. Just be aware that you could choose a different note to tune to which may or may not be better for you. Nevertheless, just remember that the saxophone is not like a piano. Once you have tuned the saxophone there may be some notes still out of tune like D which may be sharp. What you need to do now is to bring the other notes into tune by manipulating your throat or embouchure. You will soon get to know which notes are usually out of tune for your saxophone and you will need to work on those notes. Once you can get those notes in tune, simply remember what you did so you can do it again every time you play that note. Some saxophones are better in tune than others, but we all have to make these adjustments. Thanks.
Thank you so much
Thanks master! Good work.
