We love that combination of oils in our family! Using this combination has kept my special needs child out of the doctor's office for the past 13-ish years!
I'm 72 and I know what you mean. Perhaps rather than trying to absorb and apply all this new info we should start with just those things that resonate most for our life, accept and apply those things first until they become a comfortable part of our every day - then gradually branch out to the next thing. That is what I'm trying to do and I find it is working without feeling so overpowered and overwhelmed.
@@GracefulHakaGood advice. I am 61 and have been receiving the same education as many over the last several years. It is all so interesting!! It also feels right, like this is what we should have been doing all along 🤔 Glad to be here for this time!

I heard something like this before. A clinic I went to many years ago, the receptionist always had it smelling so fragrant. Not a candle but the essential oil she would put it on, and she told me it kept monks from getting sick from the bubonic plague. I imagine it to be the same stuff, and I remember it smelling great. Very cool to see this. Thanks so very much for sharing it! Looks like it would make a great gift as well!
I've been to some office spaces that use UV light as well. I believe they circulate the air over the light to do essentially the same thing as these candles.
You know that lots of monks died in the plague there was nobody who was spared not royalty, not aristocrats and not the clergy. There is a famous letter from the pope where he is sitting in the people chambers surrounded by pillars of fire surrounding him in a vein attempt to purify the air. But plenty of clergy died.
We're can I buy theive oil .is it regular essential oils and they're just calling it The foil can you tell me where I can buy that if that's just regular oil Essentials and I'll know thank you
Thank you.. you brought up a very good point of mentioning using thieves oil to treat your lifestock maybe you could do a video on how you treat your sick animals? I have chickens which the way everything is going with the government killing off our laying hens again ( 2-1/2 million in Caliifornia either yesterday or the day before to the apparent bird flu-so prices are crazy high with limits put in place in many stores)?lots of people will be looking into getting their own flock.
Meant to comment on last candle video. I think was awesome. I really love idea using cheap candles for wicks!! I have big container of crisco, is so old, i wouldn't cook with it. I saved it for utilitarian reasons. TY!😊
Interesting that you came back on for the thieves oil candles. As I was watching yesterday your candles video, I was thinking this very same idea. Well you are just great with all your helpful videos!! Thank you so much!!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful candle with us. I've made 2 of them already and the essential oil I used that I had plenty of was called four bandits, I know its a coincidence but this is the thieves oil renamed, so I'm delighted. I tried my first candle with a little candle as the wick and the 2nd candle I used cotton string. The one with the string burnt much better than the first one. Thank you once again
I have noticed if there is a better way of doing something like the cinder block cook stove you seem to think of a better way. I really appreciate this. There is plenty of the same old ideas. Thankyou so much.
I thought 🤔 I'd add that so far Walmart is the cheapest I could find for the oils is $20.00 for two onces of the thieves oil already mixed!!!! And you can crush extra cinnamon sticks to also mix in while it cools!!!! It helps a lot to be standing in a refrigerator while stirring!!! Or step outside if you happen to be in Deadhorse Alaska!!!! And Howdy Howdy from Deadhorse Alaska, Alvin Texas and Aroostook county Maine young 🌱 lady!!! 💞🐻🤠🚁🛩️🚜⛴️🛳️🚢✈️🛫🛬
So those men who got arrested could have shared their information and helped dispose of bodies. They might have made a huge difference. Unfortunately greed got the better of them.
Hello!!!! Oh my gosh i just absolutely love you're videos!!! Love you're you tube channel!!! Im going to get all that i need to make those for my family and friends thank you for sharing!!! God bless you and family!!AMEN.😊 IM LEARNING SO MUCH. 😊
Just know that this can be harmful to your pets. We believe it made our dog sick. I love the smell so much...but we're more careful after a scary Vet visit. 😢
Some of the oils are not recommended to be around pets. I noted your dog got up and moved. How does one get around this? Is it diluted enough in the shortening that it won't affect them? You have used it on animals and said it helped. I do get confused w/what is safe and what is not. Their noses are so much more sensitive than ours.
Lovely video, and very useful, thanks! A note about your title: the word 'born' should actually be spelled 'borne'. The idea being that the air *bears* (transports) the germs from one place to another (adjective 'borne') instead of the notion of the germs being birthed (born) in the air. I hope that makes sense and is helpful to you. Have a lovely Thanksgiving. ❤
We used something similar to this, but we call it the Good Samaritan Oil. You take a specified amount of drops from each essential oil and then add it to a carrier oil. During the virus the past couple of years we used this mixture, putting a drop on wrists, ear lobes, temple, ect. It had anti-viral, anti-bacterial factors which prevented catching the thing. I even put it on my face mask so I could inhale the healing scents. It had a very nice smell to it. I like your ideal to put these oils in a candle.
I'm new to your channel and find your information very interesting... I looked at the ingredients of Crisco when I was at the store the other day and I wonder if burning a candle made with those ingredients wood affect the air quality... There is a Crisco style product which is made from straight palm oil so it's a little more expensive but I think it would keep the air cleaner... I'd like to know what you think. I'd also like to know how much of each of the separate essential oils would you use in a jar the same size as your demo which looked really pretty by the way! I also wonder, have you ever done any candles with just straight oil and what kind of oil?
Awesome I was actually curious about how clean the crisco burned. I just ran across your channel the other day and have to say thank you. You are doing a great job with the video topics
I think the idea of a thieves candle is great. I just don't know about burning Crisco...are there residues of other agro chemicals in it from the hydrogenation it? What kind of oil is it? Is there any other oil we could use that would harden?
I cheated when I made my long lasting candles. I just took long store bought candles, hold it next to can of shortening, cut to fit, then push it down in the middle and put the lid back on.
Someone help me is this beef oil is it different than essential oils or is it that they're just calling it before but it's essential oils or where can I buy this Steve oil? Somebody help me help me

So interesting. I love the back story about the plague. If you had the thieves oil, I suppose you could use one of those oil diffusers too.
Hey, I have one of those!! Thanks.
They applied it around their nose, mouth, temples, hands, eyes
How very interesting! The fact that it helped your livestock is amazing. Going to make some for my family and I. ❤
I would suggest that you always use a Cotton Wick!! NO LEAD!!
I remember my mom burning flowers of Sulphur to purify the air when I was a kid 60+ years ago.
what are flowers of sulphur?
@@DaisyDay.-pm2cf I looked it up on wikipedia. not sure how you'd burn it.

I love that you’re saying this! Thank you!! Most people don’t realize.
Thank you for sharing. This is not only great as we are getting into the cold and flu season, but it would make a great gift as well.
What about using tallow?
Interesting that you came back on for the thieves oil candles. As I was watching yesterday your candles video, I was thinking this very same idea. Well you are just great with all your helpful videos!! Thank you so much!!
Went to Sam’s today and got my big thing of Crisco!! Thanks for these! Gonna make some up with my grand kids! Fun and functional!! ❤
That's amazing an Essential Oil has so much power. I'm really liking the candle for protection.I plan on making several of them. Thank You!
Definitely going to make some of these!!! Again, another awesome video!!! Thank you very much for sharing this!!! Greatly appreciated!!!
fantastic! And great tip using the lid for a seal at the end
Perfect timing Sis, you just gave me another project. With winter coming down the road

The original plague candle was made out of some tallow.

You are right. Dogs have a much stronger smell sence than humans.
Great idea. I believe Copha can be substituted in Australia for Copha or coconut oil. 🐨👍
Thanks for sharing all your knowledge. I'm so glad I found your channel, I'm learning so much.
Eucalyptus trees were first introduced to Britain in 1774 when Captain Tobias Furneaux donated seeds to Kew Gardens from Australia
Gum trees!
I love it I love it I'm going to make some for me and my friend she's 82 and she needs this what a great Christmas gift thank you so much❤❤❤

This one is fine. It’s not concentrated enough when dispersed. It smells of cinnamon which most animals don’t like, but it won’t hurt them

Excellent, top level insights -- and a definite survival item! Thank you 👍
I intend to make these candles . Thank you❤
First i have heard the story, but do have the thieves oil.
What about the chemicals in the Crisco?
I'm going on Amazon right now to order my oil , jars & crisco. Thank you.
You can color candles w crayons as well.
Thanks for the info!!!!!
What a great tip!
You need to use the food color that bakers use to color chocolate wafers that’s not water based food color 😊
Very helpful video! Thanks.
Your dog thought it was enough oil,it got up and left, lol.
It was very cinnamon
Love the candle idea
my son and I used The Good Samaratian oil in our masks - we never got sick.
Lol I first read plaque candle but prefer this. This is AMAZING!! Bet you it smells great when burning. Thank you!!!
😂 I did as well!
I rub these between my palms and then on my face and neck during EVERY airline flight !!!
What do you do if you’re allergic to lemon and cinnamon or something to put in place of that?

Any vegetable shorting or even beef tallow would work. I’d put about 20 drops of each
Can you use coconut oil instead of the Crisco? It hard to get Crisco in Australia.
No doubt yes. Try it
Thank you!!! Wonderful idea!!!
Bee's wax cleans the air as well. Does the crisco cause issues because seed oils and whatnot are harmful and cause cancer and other health issues?
Bees wax is cleaner but burns fast. The vegetable oil however will still burn cleaner than what most store bought candles are made off
Awesome I was actually curious about how clean the crisco burned. I just ran across your channel the other day and have to say thank you. You are doing a great job with the video topics

I’m suss but I’m gonna try it. FYI- the temple oil had cannabis oil in it.
Ohh that’s a pretty color!
Very clever! Thank you.
I have tallow and I'll do this tomorrow, Thanks
I cheated when I made my long lasting candles. I just took long store bought candles, hold it next to can of shortening, cut to fit, then push it down in the middle and put the lid back on.
Most of the “cans” are actually made of cord board, which is flammable so just be careful
Another great video. ❤
My Granny told me years ago when you get sick to burn some candles.
I make a balm with coconut oil and thieves oil and use it on my face and after I shave. Also use it on cuts and abrasions.
So happy I found your channel! Wondering if you can add it to a hurricane lamp filled with paraffin oil?
You can put it in an oil burner
Isn't eucalyptus toxic to pets? I heard plugins, room sprays and candles with eucalyptus are really bad for them.
Brilliant thank you for this amazing video.
Crisco
Vegetable shorting
@SurvivalHT thank you 👍 stay blessed.
Thank you
Have you ever tried to stir the food coloring in?After the oil starts to solidify slightly , so you can get a deeper rich color?
That’s what I did
Have you tried using crayons to add color ? If you shaved them and sprinked them in when its nearly cooled you might get a neat effect...
LOVE THIS!!!! TY
Awfully good information to know. Thank you. Best
Could you purchase these oils & put into a defuser?
Yes
There's so much talk about you know those smells and having cats what do you say about those smells and the candles for people that have cats
know that that are bad for indoor cats
Eucalyptus Rosemary Cinnamon Lemon Clove oils
Your dog left the room😄
Could you use tallow in place of crisco? I was just curious
I use lard and beeswax to make candles
Yes
😮Do you burn a candle with livestock or put oil on them?
wow love your channel! Thank you : )
Sweet idea!
Is this ok to burn around dogs?
I need to know this also.
Ill try making one of these using coconut oil instead of crisco tho.
Is this healthy to burn when you have cats they don't tolerate too many essential oils
Thank you, please put amount of drops down.
I am going to make some!
In the Bible it says we are not to touch the dead for 3 days
Does it matter how many drops of each to use
You can buy oil -based food coloring
Have you actually burned these candles for that many days or hours?
🕯❤🕯Thank you🎵🎶
Is it ok to use coconutoil ?
This may sound silly but where does the melted wax go?
Some pools and some burns like all candles
Certainly sounds promising...but I think your pooch just took a whif and said...not for me. ha ha
