Omggg yes yes yes! This was all good. Yes we need to stop low balling over selves. I was super guilty of this! My dates have changed over time as my mindset as a creator has changed. You’re so right about how we see the makeup artist, photographer and all. Time is money and we have to put into perspective how long it takes us to film and edit. I reject a lot of offers because it’s simply not worth the stress for what they offer. Great video as always!!!

Do you include the cost of the product that you are receiving in the rates, or is receiving product outside of your rates? For example, If I charge $500/post, and the product they want me to promote is $500, do I just take the product as payment? How would you negotiate this?
Usually the cost of the product does not factor into my rates, because it would be impossible to promote a product without having it. That being said, if I am being offered something extremely expensive, I might be open to negotiating my rate down a little bit. But usually that’s a discussion that comes after I’ve presented my rate, and if they tell me I’m out of their budget and I still want to try to make something work.

I’ll take a peek at your channel this evening. 💜overall followers and views aren’t everything, but you will always have a brand that says you don’t have enough for us to pay.. this is where you have to be honest about the quality, how well you are optimizing videos for long term findability, and the roi you are providing. If you look at those things and are still confident, stick to your rates. If not, may need to lower a bit.
