    13:20 - This is why puzzles with a 1-to-1 'piece-ratio' can be very difficult!

    Well done you! I've come over from Emily at The Casual Puzzler and have now watched almost every video you've made and subscribed. Until a few weeks ago I had no idea there were puzzlers on YT. Now I really appreciate the reviews and haul videos. (And have spent money on new puzzles! 😉)

    20:00 - When you're putting together really dark pieces, it's a good idea to throw more light on the puzzle board so you can see the shade differences.

    I have a mini 150 piece puzzle with a cut like that and I struggled hard with it, that looks even tougher for sure 😅 loving your videos though man keep it up

    I like how you got the idea of flipping the second puzzle, it's nice to know you can do them both ways. I always just see people solving two sided puzzles on the "right" side.

      I have another double-sided puzzle coming to the channel soon, and I want to solve it both ways but one side is definitely harder 😆

      I honestly gave up and flipped it over pretty quickly - I have no patience for a bad puzzle!

    Well done for not giving up on the second puzzle! It looks like a nightmare 😅 I had one puzzle that I intentionally put together the wrong way because it was such a poor quality I wouldn’t ever know if I’ve done it correctly. I think you should do that too, just for fun to see what comes out of it 😊 I really like your channel! You’re doing really well and I love you energy. Keep up the good work! 😉

      I remember that video, I thought that was so funny!! That’s probably what I would have done if I hadn’t had the option to flip it over

    over watching that first one come together! 1st: are you an artist? You talk about the puzzles in such an “artist”, “painterly way. ( And you use a butcher pan to sort your pieces same as I use mine for watercolor mixing! LOL! You really hit that second one out of the park though!!! 🎉

    • @puzzlephile
      @puzzlephile  Рік тому

      I’m a theatre artist, and I’ve done some painting and drawing courses, which is why I have the butcher pan! Good eye 👍

    The art on these is stunning. The pieces look to be pretty good quality. That second one was a challenge for sure. I was not expecting the art on the back to be the same on both puzzles. I wonder if they get back to you about the comment card. They really might respond. Thanks for the review.

    That seems to be very similar to the Buffalo "Talking Jigsaw Puzzles" released about the same time. Talking Puzzles intentionally all have the same piece cut, so you can rearrange the conversations and only know you have it correct when you flip it over. I believe all are 560 pieces - how many in that second puzzle? I was actually going to start one later this week for the mystery challenge. I will compare the pieces to your video when I do.

    • @puzzlephile
      @puzzlephile  Рік тому +1

      Oh interesting! I’ve seen the Talking puzzles, but didn’t realize they were by Buffalo. I also have one from Buffalo’s Greatest Jigsaw of All Time series from the early 90s as well, and again all the pieces are intentionally interchangeable as part of the gimmick. (The Sentry had 529 pieces btw)
