    Wow I'm so happy I found you. I watch so many DIY youtubers and while their stuff is great its never perfect because a lot of people rush through things. I'm a perfectionist so I always notice the tiniest things. I can see you're a perfectionist too from your work which makes your channel very enjoyable to watch 😊.

    Tip: try to maximize your textiles when upholstering. Cut only what you need by placing the object to be covered as close to the edge as possible. That way you can use leftovers for another project.

    Sweet. But I think I would put 1 or two frame supporting pieces in the middle to avoid any sagging in the ply top. Also 2 pieces would gives a little support for your frame to stay square.

    • @joejackson9986
      @joejackson9986 2 роки тому

      it's not long enough for it to require any supporting piece...

    I was given a handy tip when I made my first bench that I hope will help you too. Use high density 3" foam for longer life and comfort and use an electric knife to cut the foam. I got my electric knife at Good Will for $1 and only use it for foam and crafts. Hope that makes future projects easier. I love your projects and all your BOSS girl power! Nice job!

    • @clickster1883
      @clickster1883 4 роки тому

      Christine Brennan I’ll have to look up “high density foam” to see what it is, but how does it differ from what Stefani used here? Is high density foam what memory foam pillows and mattress pads are made of?

    • @christinebrennan4484
      @christinebrennan4484 4 роки тому +2

      High density foam has a longer life and can take more wear and weight than just craft/sewing foam. It is not memory foam. It is much more dense and firm than standard foam and is used in furniture and vehicles. Any upholstery store can get it for you. I used to get it from Hancock Fabrics.

    Great job. I think I would have used heavier wood along the length, or a second piece behind the first just to make it sturdier. You could get some cracking where the screws enter the wood if somebody heavy sits on it. But it looks great!!.
