Great tutorial! Pretty much every roller shooter goes through a phase where they lose one side, and this is a great "back to basics" tutorial to re-learn the mechanics. Amazing how simple muscle mechanic motions can get back the confidence of the stroke. Good stuff.
Haven't played foosball in years and now I've got the itch to get my own table. I enjoy watching your vids and appreciate how you take the time to explain things and slow things down. Keep up the good work.
first of all, thank you for the good tutorials. You explain all details reallly good, and it helped me a lot to learn the snake shot. I hope to get more like this. GREAT WORK!!!
Those super slow-mo shots at the end show the air-time you get! Nice :) Good tutorial, as always. I'm a pull/push shooter, but have been trying to develop the snake shot. Having trouble on the pull side, and I'm sure these tips will help.
Great tips, especially the part about focusing on creating sufficient movement and then taking the shot. Walking the ball and fooling the defence is the hard part for me. Most of the time I'm being blocked because they can predict the way I'll move or I don't move the ball far enough.
You are probably doing a "Euro" pin or front pin. It all depends on the type of table you play on. On the Tornado table it's easier to hit push side with the snake shot than the front pin. On other tables the front pin is a better fit. It depends on the ball as well. I think both types of shots have their advantages and disadvantages but either one is effective if you can execute all options well.
This was meant more for people that are starting out and are having problems executing basic holes. I'm planning to make an advanced snake shot shooting tutorial where I should how to time holes, and how to execute more advanced shot, etc.
Thanks! I'd recommend a few more actual shots to different holes next time, even if it's just 20-30 seconds of "real speed" shots at the end. Also, any tips on shooting a deadbar to either side? I don't think I heard any mention of recoil.
Man I'm a professional player but sometimes I have a problem with speeding the ball, so I usually hit the wall instead... But thanks a lot for the tip brotha... And keep it up.
I like the snake shot but in the table garlando, fireball, leonard, roberto sport and on this table it is very to use snake but on the table bonzini it very hard to good play with the snake.
i got home Garlando ( ryleis version ) , i never been good at snakes i am using more pin shots , as its easier to control ball for me , maybe i just have some crippled hands :D
Hi, can anyone please tell me if there is any problem (eg. unethical, or illegal) with my snakeshot: when I shoot I don't use my wrist, I use my palm (holding it the same way as any other time during the game), also there are a few moments I have no connection to the grip, but i do it so fast that it won't turn 360° before and after either.
and to just clarify I competed successfully agsinst the best and have several titles like you do. I have titles on two different surfaces in the 90's . not to brag cause I stay humble. but just wanted to let you know that I'm serious. please email me
Ey balintkovacs14 Your shot isn't called snakeshot (i don't know how(in german it's "Kurbler":-))). But it's totall legal(ITSF) and not unethical to do that. Some pro's use that shot too in connection with a front pin "system" (left or right). I recommend you to keep that shot but also to learn some others, because your shot may efficient at your level but against better goalie you need some more speed and power :-) have fun playing foosball !!

Hi Zeke, Great Video. Can you have a video to talk about the way that Billy Pappas, Tony Spredeman grip the handle and the pro and cons of them?
i have played FB on and off for long time but im just getting ready to start learning snake shot. I think these are some good tips... Thx.
Great tips, especially the part about focusing on creating sufficient movement and then taking the shot.

Same here. Now after I saw this video, I can practice like zek shows in the video. Great tips.
What is the best? Garlando or Tornado? I need advices plz
Hi zeke can you make a tutorial about shooting the snake shot cross? That would be really great.
You are probably doing a "Euro" pin or front pin. It all depends on the type of table you play on. On the Tornado table it's easier to hit push side with the snake shot than the front pin. zeke wow that is amazing!!! thank you!

Thanks for the tutorial Zeke, you're awesome! :)
Excellent guide. Thanks a lot.

Make sure your hand is in the right position
I will try it today... its a litle bit hard to do it but lets see :D
I have other tutorials on the snake/rollover shot. You may want to to check out those other ones as well. Good luck.

How long did it take you to get a good long consistent snake shot and how many shots did it take you to get consistent at the snake shot?
I like the snake shot but in the table garlando, fireball, leonard, roberto sport and on this table it is very to use snake but on the table bonzini it very hard to good play with the snake.
Thank you Zeke! :)

I want to buy a table. which one is used in this vid?
Tornado competition model
It work for me
Is it legal to spin like that? Does it technically not go 360 degrees?
Check out this video which answers that question
ua-cam.com/video/Qmr3i7ZqwZc/v-deo.html

arnan540 Tornado table
These are some sich skills.
