I think Bayaz just doesnt have that much magic or any magic anymore. I remember during Rikke and Bayaz' encounter, there had been some cues about Bayaz' uses spy/spying to sound all knowing, and, if he had magic still, it didnt make sense that he wouldn't do anything at all to 'show' that.

I wanted more from Bayaz too. I was hoping he was the owl from the prophecy.

Just finished the book. I'm so mad about Orso.

Odd how throughout the book you go from hating Bayaz (previous info) to kinda realising that even though he’s evil, things could be (and are) a LOT WORSE

Hi, I was surprised at how ruthless Leo becane & was gutted for poor Orso. Clover was a joy to read, he is my fave of the new characters & what does everyone think of Rikke's end long eye vision? Who is the one who has returned? God I adore Joe Abercrombie, his books bring me so much enjoyment. Thanks for giving us your thoughts in this review. Best wishes.

We think it's Glustrod! If you want to hear more we just did a full length podcast covering the book where we get more into detail.
      Thanks for watching!
