Hi Appiah. If the hostel has a security system where all the tenants have their own code that they punch in when they enter (like at the main gate), then you give that code so the delivery guy can get in. In your case though, I don't think the hostel has that, so you don't need to type that in. Just make sure you put your specific room number on the address. Do you have your own box for mail, or do packages get dropped at someone at the front desk? I'm just curious.

Hi there. It's not a dumb question, don't worry. Unfortunately an Amazon.ca gift card only works on Amazon.ca. Maybe you can check if that same item is available on Amazon.ca instead of Amazon.com?

so I tried to get a digital code for a gift card, it says it couldnt do it and says "please add default address" I did but it's a digital code, and even then it still womt send it through
What kind of gift card (an Amazon gift card?)? Is it a physical card, or an e-card? Tell me exactly where you are when it says "please add default address".

thanks it was nice, i need to ask something, though, what if the credit card have this security code system, e.g: i place order i add the card data etc, now i press order and then bank sends me the code which i have to enter to the popup window, done that i proceed and i am good to go, now, amazon didn't have like this, i added i did then few hours later came email payment decline, how what should i do? thanks so much,
Hi Ivar. It sounds like you placed the order successfully, but it declined for some reason. Amazon won't really know why because it is the bank (not Amazon) that declines it. The best thing to do is to contact your bank (where the credit card is from) and ask them what the problem is & why it declined and how to fix it. Hope that helps...let me know how it goes. PS. Alternatively, you can try with a different card.

all the cards have the verification system/code, the code will be sent at the time of finishing payment, it is like confirmation that it is you and so on so forth, it will be sent to the cell phone by message, i think there is also called something like visa verification, i was thinking maybe i have to deactivate it for this moment
but actually it is a bit too much hassle, of course side note, i am at malaysia using amex :)
just the issue is the verification system, i think people in us have it too. or don't you?
That extra verification you're describing is for your bank. It isn't done by Amazon. But if you did it already (you entered the code and was good to go) and you placed the order successfully, but a few hours LATER it declined...then that suggests that the verification isn't the problem (it worked) and it was declined for a different reason. That's why you need to contact your bank to find out why.
I'm stuck at the checkout part because I don't know how to fill the adress box, I live in mexico, and at first I thought the shipmente could not be delivered because of my country, then I noticed the item COULD be delivered here so I noticed I didn't write well the adress part.
