As part of a clinical research study approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is offering fetoscopic endoluminal tracheal occlusion (FETO), a fetal surgery procedure that may improve outcomes in babies with the most severe cases of congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH).
This video explains enrollment criteria, shows animation of the surgical procedure, and includes interviews with the clinical team leading the study.

Is CDH genetic ? Is it possible to have another CDH baby after your first born passed due to it?
Oh how I wish they had this technology all those years ago... My little brother only survived for 8 hours after he was born and he had a CDH... :(
I'm so sorry for your lost. My brother was born with CDH too. He has his surgery at CHOP. Stay strong!
