- Imagine: A Celebration of Hope is an annual, three-time Emmy Award-winning special featuring the doctors, nurses and caregivers at Children's Hospital Los Angeles that provide hope for families and build healthier futures for kids.
I love it that it’s Jessica Capshaw because her character in Grey’s Anatomy just (relative to the show’s age) recently became specialized in fetal surgery
Praise God! We are praying that we can find a team of doctors in Illinois that can save my unborn granddaughter that is 20 weeks along. Please pass on any information that you may have. I believe in miracles. We love our little angel so much and we are putting our trust in God. It is good to see that there is still hope.

I wish this procedure had existed 49 years ago! I am sure that my mum would have done it to ensure that my heart wouldn't have developed abnormalities....

Is that Dr. Arizona off Grey’s Anatomy? 😄😄
No doubt on the outcome or benefits of those surgeries, but the baby doesnt get numbed? They feel the pain of the huge (huge in their tony world) needle poking their hearts :(((??? Also, how the amneotic fluid doesnt spill?
They do numb the baby. Baby gets anesthesia too. They have to ensure baby is still.
Does the baby still move during the procedure??
More than likely no because they would give a shot to the fetus to prevent error Incase baby moves
I would assume they would anaesthetise the bub so they didn’t make a mistake :)
Yes. Still moves.
They give baby anesthesia as well, they absolutely do not want baby moving.

Thanks that's good to know
It's Arizona
Do these babies get pain meds when they go through this surgery?
It would seem like the antipain meds would circulate from mother to baby
