@@sourabh369 In Rupert's model, consciousness is the same as awareness which is primary and mind is the world. In some Advaita models Awareness is primary and consciousness is what Rupert calls mind. It's important to remember that teachings are only using models, they are not the final truth. It's best not to mix models although they all point to the same truth. 🙏

The reality of all “things” are the consciousness in which they are known The consciousness within which they appears and the consciousness out of which they are made. This is a “mantra” that I learned from Rupert and what I repeat every time I have doubt about what is my ultimate reality

‘Divesting from the separate self’….really like that phrasing/idea. Like when he pulled away all of objects and sensory perceptions in the beginning. Then toward end there was mention by last questioner about being the witness. Then there was the thought was ‘there’s no witness’…..I think that came about because a witness is a position.

What do you do when you realize you have confused the ego and the higher self? I have realized that my calm loving higher self is actually my ego, and my negative angry ego is actually my higher self.
Ego is the "sense' of separate self but actually there is only one self. We need to discover what we refer to when we say "I" before it has been overlayed by beliefs and concepts.

I think it best to stop the illusion. Ego is not illusion, the world and its content is not illusion. Earth is not an illusion. If these are illusions then all that we call life is a mass hallucination. No illusion but experiences. Experience of the divine , if you will, in form.
Illusion means something that is not what it is 'believed' to be. If understood, the word illusion is not a problem but like you I prefer the word experience.
What if the ego - is moulded/trained - to move from heaviness - until it reaches subtlety - and is then - dipped into Brahman. The limitations of Atman - melt - as the Brahman Nature - 'flows' - replacing the old - with the new. Ego is necessary - as a source of identity - in the work - as human. It may be refined by Pranahuti - to have less and less 'weight/mass' - as it becomes linked - to the Highest - it becomes dependant - on the Same. Ultimately merging - chit/buddhi/ manas and ego (ahankara) - with the same Brahman. Sort of a natural course taken - in spirituality. I found this superior to - the 'destroying ego' gambit - of before. (Fare thee well).
My definition of ego is the sense of an individual self. I agree with you that as we acknowledge our true nature more and more we move from the gross to the subtle and ego naturally becomes more of a servant to truth. Thanks for your comment 🙏❣️
Even the Self isn't real. A self always needs the other, the non self, for its constitution, even if it's only a tiny spec of dust in the infinity ocean of nothingness. So, even the creator is a certain that came out of nothing. 🙏😘
It seems that the sense of self is the knowing element. What's usually missed is that the apparent knowing and known are two words for the same singular "happening".
