The Courage Lies Within You Project is a partnership between the University of Alabama at Birmingham Departments of Music and History where 12 short films and 12 short premiere compositions were commissioned based on notable historical figures from the State of Alabama. This piece, based on baseball icon Leroy "Satchel" Paige, was composed by Paul Osterfield and performed live by the UAB Chamber Trio (James Zingara, trumpet, Denise Gainey, clarinet, and Chris Steele, piano).
