One more thing I wanted to add:
Motivation and passion are often fleeting, but I've found that discipline lasts forever. So, don't always rely on your motivation and passion to be there for you when you need them. Instead, keep working on building an effective strategy, habit, and discipline 💪
And here's a little bit of pep talk I sometimes give a friend of mine in case you need it:
When you need to get some stuff done
Just breathe in, breathe out, focus
and JUST CRUSH IT!! Getting started is often the hardest part, but once you get past that, it's going to be so much easier to continue 👍
How old are you pretty little guy?
in the future ,google may banned youtubers who are chinese or pakistan .
although i am chinese ,but i need to say
because the ADS is from US or other countries .
if that continue , money will get from US or these countries .
maybe small ,not much ,but , chinese hit the ads ,they do not buy .
ads is not working.
google has not found it .
it is not justice . china companies do not pay for ADS for their products ,because they did not know google adsense ,which can help them to find better .
youtube is free for chinese , they get the value videos ,but the ads is not working for hinese.
sorry ,tell all of you the truth .
@@ahmedboulahia6033 asian man may be like boys .
youtubers make videos , adsense is salary , if 1000 views from pk or cn, the earning is 0 . hehe ,sorry , because ads is not working in these countries .
so ,these videos are free for these countries ,that is not justice .
if chinese make english videos , because of country, the Dollar will get out to chinese . Using americans to get Dollar . youtube is from US ,americans hit ads from chinese videos , the earnings will give a part to the chinese youtuber .
1)Change the environment
2) Write down the tasks you need to do
3) Start with a small task
4) ask yourself why you wanted to do the task
5) Break down the task to make it simpler
6) Just work on it for a few minutes
7) Reward yourself
Nice.
and 7) Set a reward for yourself
@@hilluxk.7628 I forgot about that
the 80/20 rule, usually if you just put 20% of your effort, you can almost get 80% of the things down. (and to finish the rest 20%, you might need your 80% effort to perfect it.)
learned it from the book
thanks!!
Mega Scizor TCG u saved a lot of time 😂
bomb transition at 0:37
ridhwaans agreed
This is the best transition I've seen in UA-cam.
Great video!
I had to rewatch it bc WHOAH
@@e_erm8819 I haven't seen that kinda transition even in a peter mckinnon's videos. Freaking awesome.
That café scene transition is smooth.
Super ideas... It is nice when you "zoom" from the "running video" outside in a cafe.
Welcome to real life that was cool
That was freaking amazing!
radd
That is very cool!
Also the reply to emails...
5:02: "reward yourself"
*ran and ate my snack*
resumed video
"reward yourself after completing your task"
That was good ))
🤣
😂
😂😂
Lmao
Those transitions to the coffee are neat! (thanks for the tips)
“Go yo cafe, library or school”
Quarantine: I don’t think so..
Going outside is too bothersome for me.
I cleaned up my bedroom and felt like I was in a whole new environment.
Mr MockingMing lol
Lmao
what are we gonna do now? :(
Yeah before quarantine, college made me less productive because of the environment. My high school had a good environment, so it was easy to do work at school and at home. Now at home, I don't have friends to talk to (they used help motivate me just by being there), so I'm just as lazy as I was in college.
I found that adopting the mindset of always starting before I feel ready was key. Once I turned that into a habit, everything became easier. I made a video about building this habit recently. I agree with all of your tips, especially the environment one. Once buying a standing desk and noise cancelling headphones, my environment is now conducive to getting stuff done!
Great advice, thanks!
Great advice, I struggle with productivity and I'm always looking for new tools and new ways of doing things. Sometimes, I do things a different way, even if it's not more productive. I find my productivity is often affected by mundane tasks we unfortunately have to do day in and day out in this industry.
I find that writing down the tasks in the morning it so very helpful to keeps productive all the week
I find it particularly helpful to write weekly goals, and daily tasks thereafter. Every small win as you’ve said keeps the motivation going. Thanks for the useful tips.
Summary:
Step 1: Try changing your environment
step 2: Write down your tasks for the day
step 3: Start with a small task
step 4: Ask yourself why you wanted to work on this task
step 5: Break it down to a small first step
step 6: Just work on it for a minutes
step 7: Set a reward for yourself
: )
This video is full of positivity! Usually i will hear people screaming and getting mad at me
I feel like I needed this right now!!!
Me too
Dude, same here haha
Me too
Yup wish I had done these 10 years ago
0:38 that editing, just AWESOME........
I actually love this person, you turned into my motivation and also my role model.
the first transition was superrrbbb!!
I started doing all of this stuff recently and I love it. I always write down my plan on what I’m going to get done and changing the environment DEFINITELY helps ( for me )
Whenever I dont feel like doing anything, i watch a motivational video. That thing gets me every single time.
This has been on my watch later for at least 5 months.
Summary:
1. Change your environment
2. Write down your tasks for the day
3. Start with a small task
4. Ask yourself your initial reason for the task
5. Break it down into smaller steps
6. Just work on it for a few minutes
7. Set yourself a reward
Thank you for making such a short but insightful video. Some of the tips were things I knew already, some were reminders for things I forgot, but in general they were all really useful.
Honestly thank you so much, out of millions of videos I've watched I think this one gave actual useful tips for me :)
I followed your advice about asking myself 'why' a bunch of times. At first it was in regards to the task at hand, but then it spread to the sequence of life decisions that took me to where I'm now, and I'm having an existential crisis. Thanks a lot
been there, done that, Recomendo you to watch; Jordan Peterson meaning of line on men. really helped out
Changing environment is a huge thing for me, and I'm not exactly sure why. Love a nice cafe, but libraries are a great spot too. But hey, I'm getting stuff done and supporting local businesses so its a win win!
2020 Quarantine:
Tip 1) try different environment - cafe: closed office: closed 😭😭
Perfect, zero-bullshit, to-the-point, highly-effective tips! Thanks for sharing! :)
You are a gift of yourselves .Thank you
everything's in place. you do a lot of effort in perfection. Be it your content or editing (or anything).
Great to learn it from someone who shows signs of having mastered the skill. No BS. Keep it up.
thank you so much that's really so helpful, i just love the way you talk
your quiet voice made me feel comfortable. thank you
Truth! Coffee shop the great trigger.
Thanks! Changing environment works miracles for me. I usually go to the local library. It's pretty much a combination of most of the methods you've mentioned. You are supposed to be quiet and no food/drinks are allowed. There are practically no distractions, closing time works like a timer and eating seems like the best reward after 6-8 hours of fasting. Works every time.
@Edit: Oh, and the Internet requires registration and a special code, which I intentionally don't request unless I absolutely have to. Probably the biggest factor.
You have been an inspiration, thanks for helping me out❤️
I love that forest app...bcoz it gives me sense of achievement when I see many trees completed growing and green is obviously soothing to heart
Thanks a bunch. Also, I love your home's aesthetic appeal.
I know this is an old video, but i am binge watching you stuff. love the way you present and explain different concepts. this video is very important for a lot of people - pretty much everyone struggles with this at times. great tips and strategies. One of the important things is to find what works for you (the viewers) - i.e. music is a personal thing - as you mentioned it doesn't generally work for you. Actually, my wife is the same way. she can sit in complete silence or Grand Central Station and focus on the task at hand. For myself I am the opposite - music helps tune out the distractions and improves focus and productivity.
Keep up the great work!
I totally agree with you!
You are genius! :)
and i think the core of motivation is to know my mind!
Thank you so much ! Breaking down tasks surely do help, I needed this revision rn
I love how simple and to the point this is!
Great video! The change of environment is what I've been lacking.
your english n inspiration energy !
Thank you! Changing the environment reallly helps.
A really good helping video , thank u for sharing these steps with us , I immediately got up straight to my desk to start studying when I only saw half of the video
This is my second video I am watching of your channel and I am already in love with you. I came to learn Python for my school as it's in my course. It was so easy to understand when you explained so clearly and nicely. Thank you so much!! ❣️🖐️ Thank you Big bro.
some real talk right there bro...
Thank you so much. Good luck YK.
OMG! What you did at 0:40 was awesome! So meta!
I like how they are very simple and actionable. Less theory, more practice.
Thanks a lot for your advices, they're really helpful! Wish you the best! ❤️
I really needed this right now. Thanks for sharing these wonderful tips!
I love that transition from the photo shot back to the video editor on the laptop
Thanks for sharing on this topic! Love your video!
Your filming setup is so good man.
Great video. Short and concise. Even though you might not earn as much as you would in big 4, you're changing other peoples lives little by little. Keep up the good work!
I think this very good video, because not only
technical matters that have been studied, but things related to this are also important to know and apply.
Precise, to the point, not useless age-long intro. I like it! And they are actually helpful tips.
Nice idea to condense this valuable life skill down to a short concise and well edited video. Great video!
Thanks so much! I genuinely needed this video!
This was actually really helpful, thanks my dude!
*Now when I'm about to procrastinate, I will watch your video... and procrastinate watching it* 😆😆
Joking, nice video man!! 😄😄
Found this video when struggling on writing paper, thank you so much
Changing my environment really helped me alot. When I'm at work or school, I focused on being a hard worker and getting stuff done, but when I'm at home I'm just a lazy bum.
Breaking things down or only doing them for a small amount of time can really make these big scary tasks way more manageable
You are the best man. Love your videos. Thumbs up.
*After 1 min*
"Can you work for 2 minutes"
Me: "Nope"
🤣facts
😂 so me
Whenever I find these videos, I feel like its just some obvious things spoken for some minutes just because they want views and earn money. But this channel delivers it in different way. It feels like its worth watching for 6 minutes. I don't know what it is, maybe its the quality of content. The conclusion is that I love this channel and I know its not just another click-bait.
You did a great job with that cut to the cafe! That was really cool
I Love You YK
You are the unstoppable..
Thnks man..this could help me a lot...keep it up👍
I normally take a break when I don't feel like studying.. My break consists of sleeping for atleast 6-7 hours 😝
you are my bro
Useless guy
@@nishisaxena4831 :)
Nish S than line he said he need normal sleep time like a normal human.
i feel u bro
The reason I watched this video was because I was just about to finish my math homework, but then I just gave up because I was tired. Then I decided to go on UA-cam and I saw this in my suggestions. Did UA-cam know my situation? Anyway, nice video, I like it.
Maybe UA-cam implements Machine Learning in your head...
A beautiful way of getting things done. These steps are really helpful. Thanks.
Can we please take a moment and appreciate this super smooth transition at 0:38
Wow! That buttery smooth transition. Video to Cafe. Delicious!
Ur videos are so amazing and it makes me feel so good
Productivity tips notes
1. Change your environment to where you can be productive
2. Write a list of what you want/ need to get done that day
3. Start with a small task to get yourself going and/or to get you in a better mood.
Like cleaning or planning the weekend.
Just be careful and don't spend too much time on small insignificant task.
4. Ask yourself a series of why you wanted to work or get this task done in the first place?
Ex: task : an article to your blogg/website
Why
1. Side income, So you can generate more traffic and income from your webbpage
2. So you can get more financial time and location freedom.
3. So you can travel
4. Travel gives you experience to look foward to and remember
5. Break it down to a small first step.
6. Tell yourself that you only need to work on in a couple of minutes (1-5 mins is enough to get you started)
7. Bribe yourself with a reward if you complete the task.
8. Music might make the hard/ boring task a little less boring.
Yes i want such videos frequently
Thanks bro
Thanks CS Dojo!

I really appreciate the video like this from people like you, real people with real jobs. Most of the self-help, motivational videos like this on UA-cam are from UA-camr whose main job is UA-cam itself, or podcaster, or video producer, blogger...etc. Most of them are just doing these motivational videos for a living, which is the reason why I can hardly relate to them.
However, you are actually a legit software engineer and actually have talents. Self-help and motivational videos are probably not your main contents. So base on your legit success, I can trust these videos from you much more!
English isn't my first language.
Thank you for your brilliant advice. This is very useful!
Thank you! For advice sir.
Indeed it was great help for me!
The transition at 0:39 was amazing! Well done
Thank you! Just what i needed! The app idea was amazing!
In the right time 😍😍

This is awesome! What a great UA-cam channel! Love your feed!
Thank you this is quite helpful and i like how you broke it down!! To make it easier i think i find just getting started the hardest but when im in library or study room i can study ASAP but not at home
Needed this!! Thank you!
Thank you for the tips, these help me a lot
Wow. This is really inspirational. Yet again, amazing video!
thank you!
I pretty much knew this, but I really needed to hear it. Thanks.
Just what I needed 🙏🏼🙏🏼 thank you!
I'm extremely motivated to workout, I'm into bodybuilding, I've been lifting for 2 years now. I spend 3 hours a day working out in the gym. But I just can't find the motivation to study hard. I get home from school and just hit the weights. I end up barely getting any studies done. So I just cram my homework in the night before. This video taught me how to get shit done. This really helped, thanks 😁
Amazing man thanks for all these ideas
The 1st, the 6th and the last ones are the best :)
Perfect timing dude!
Very much needed video. Thank you!
Thanks.😂...excellent work you are doing man . Needed motivation for keeping up my studies for my upcoming exams. The reward thing really works though...
Get up Dojo!
