only 2 weeks left for me .. can't wait to go back there. i dont believe there's any place in the world that's more pure, peaceful, and beautiful. i absolutely love Finland, i'll always come back for it ..
Hei from Germany, this video is pure magic! Very well done and a real tastemaker! I ve been two times in Finnish Lapland- March 20 and this January- and had the luck to see Auroras like this. Fell in love with this country! Next year again, Finland is great nature and nice people.
@@juntti6019 wow!! What part of Finland are you from?? I'm from New Mexico in the United States. Our Navajo reservation and tribe is one of the biggest in United States. If you have time, look at some documentary here in UA-cam. I've always wanted to travel North. Especially around the Finland, Sweden and Norway area. I find it extremely beautiful up north. Also i would love to experience the northern lights in person.
Finnish people and the Native Americans have always been very much alike. Our cultures are quite similar. We have faced a lot of suppression from a supreme enemy/invader. Our native gods come from the nature. They are called pagan gods these days but still have a big impact in our culture. Both of our people have been living in very primitive conditions just a few hunderd years ago. The true respect of nature and and the simple way of living is what brings us together.
Fun fact Finnish is the only language in Europe to not have any single latin, nor greek decent. Its all decending from the Viking language and to some extent a little bit of ancient Slavic as well.
The Vikings spoke old Norse which was a Germanic language. Finnish is not even in the same language family. It’s a Uralic language. It’s far closer to Hungarian than to any of the other Nordic languages. In fact almost every other european language is an indo european language. Finnish is about as far away from Norse as you can get in Europe.
I will be taking my children to Lapland in January - hopefully we are blessed with a night as clear, beautiful and active as this. Beautiful cinematography.
@@imweird3363 Trip of a lifetime. All before the world shut down. 2 of the 3 nights deep in the Arctic Circle we were blessed with some lights and we met the real Santa in Rovaniemi on the way back down south. The kids got to go on a sleigh ride and we all went for a husky safari. All so unforgettable and magnificent. Now I must see Lapland in the summertime and fight off the mozzies.
I dream so many nights of these amazing shows so called aurora borealis and i hope my biggest wish will come true some day... You guys are blessed of living there, believe me. Greetings from sunny and hot Macedonia!
Robert Kingdon or try Iceland as I did last week. I just wish I had these guys' super technique for filming. Though as a first attempt I'm not exactly unhappy.
I've talked to couple of south americans and it seems finland has really good image over there, its kinda surprising! Greetings from mosquito filled finland to you too 👏
What a great video! Stunning photography and videography backed by beautiful music. This has to be my favourite video that I have seen on You Tube about the adventure of going to watch the Aurora borealis.
Ana true, i guess he meant a southern finland instead of helsinki. And southern finland really is conpletely different than lapland, so about that hes correct
Hei and thanks! Music is specially made for this film. It has no title. Music is made by JanneAir. A great music maker from Finnish Lapland! You can find him on facebook or just google the name!
Hei! You can see northern lights here from august to april. Normally the best month is march, but you can see great shows in every month if your lucky :) January is good, because of the long dark evenings and nights.
I know this will probably mean nothing to anyone,, but hearing the language sparks a memory and seeing the buildings the way the are made is so like home here for me in Minnesota. we can see the northern lights from here.. so many homes are still standing built like they were.. the memory lives on.
I live in Helsinki (southern Finland) and aurora's are visible there very rarely. I decided travel to Kilpisjärvi for 3 days and I was lucky enough to witness lights in two nights from three. Most beautiful thing I have ever seen!
Thank you for giving a personal touch to an activity like this. It becomes more palpable. I also appreciate the embedded subtitles appearing at the corner of the screen in a less intrusive font. Once again, thanks for uploading.
Glad to hear and read about Argentinian people here and congratulations for the landscape language culture and above all those lights. I'll be a month in Finland in June and start driving with my Finnish friend Eevastina around Scandinavian countries I'm happy Hope to see you
Omg! can be so beautiful!???????? Is one of my dreams; see the northern lights. Amazing video! =) Greets from Argentina, and thanks for sharing this amazing video. Kiitos paljon!
Congratulations for everything ...spectacular auroras, conveniently music and nature photographers. i wish i would be there. Greetings from magic atmosphere of Istanbul.
Over a year on after I found this video I still keep coming back for more. Its amazing! We had the most amazing time in Yllas back in January. Im still editing my video of it! So hard to cut it down to a manageable length! All the best from England!
It's sped up, notice the clouds moving in some clips. But you can clearly see them moving even with your own eyes. It's as if curtains moved slowly in the wind.
Pretty amazing aurora borealis wonderful video.. if it would not be too much trouble for you to tell me what music is playing in the background if you please
Can I hire you guys to be my guide, one day? :) I want to see the northern lights some time in my near future and Lapland is the place I want to experience them :D
I went to Lapland Finland in 2013 and saw the Northern Lights. Amazing and unforgettable!
Qué envidia!!

When you compare Helsinki with Lapland, lapland seems like it is another world. Even tough I don't like snow, lapland is beautiful.
Helsinki is a city and Lapland is a huge region that encompasses northern Scandinavia. That's a pretty big difference.
