I have gathered a few hours of real-time footage of the aurora borealis since the start of the 2022 season and they have just been dancing like crazy around Tromsø, Norway. We had spectacular shows of different shapes, colors and intensities.
For the first time ever, I am presenting to you 1 hour worth of ProRes RAW 4K footage. The final movie is about 280 Gb. Unfortunately, because of the compression, you won't be able to enjoy it as I see it on my 5K monitor, but I believe the quality will still be good to give you the goose bumps- Some of the scenes are my all-time favorites, especially that crazy pink aurora and the red ones! Although you will see the film in a compressed codec, the ProRes RAW codec gave me an unprecedented latitude in post process to control shadows and highlights and keep most of those within the histogram. Because of the varying quality of your screen, some of the highlights might get burned (blob) and some of the shadows crushed (too dark), but overall you'll experience a much better dynamic range than ever before in aurora footage. Also, you will probably see colors you are not used to in real-time aurora recording, as the Atomos Ninja V take advantage of the full bit depth of the sensor (16 bit converted to an effective 12 bit, but that's still 68B colors!!).
I hope you enjoy the film! If you want to know more about the story behind, the gear and the specs used, consider becoming a member at www.buymeacoffee.com/nightlights where I write my blog posts. All I can say for now is that it was recorded with the Sony a7sIII + Atomos Ninja V+ + Sigma 20mm f1.4.
All content is of course copyrighted Night Lights Films (except for the sountracks, which was licensed through Artlist (See credits at the end). Therefore, no footage can be used in any way without the author’s permission.

Aurora Borealis is the light of life that humans can physically see. It gives creation and rebirth to life and places for spiritual life to exist in its domicile. Heavenly places for heavenly creations to thrive.

From 17:00 minutes on, nothing but goose bumps. You are helping me hang in there as we have had some pretty bad luck at lower latitudes. I can't wait to go to Alaska and really LEARN. MY. CAMERAS.
    Bravo!

@@NightLightsFilms it's kind of like living life each day and interacting with so many lost people. Trying to speak to them about God and Christ and hopefully being able to save someone. Like with your work. Most of the time you may feel like who are you doing it for? How many are appreciating what I do? I would imagine you feel the same way I do. Many are caught up in the world and do not care. But for me, even if I am responcible for bringing one to Christ and saving their soul, my work is done.
What you do is very much appreciated and admired by many. In an ugly worthless world, you bring us what many of us consider heaven in earth. So much so that I am currently working in moving my wife and kids there as soon as possible. 😁.
      Thank you my friend.

@@nickfrost9771 Your efforts are not in vain. God sees you. One day at a time.
People are oblivious to the spiritual realm typically until they pass over. One spirit asked Abraham for help to show his living family about the mysteries of these things, but Abraham said let them listen to Moses and the Prophets. It is meant for some to know these things earlier than others. It is truly up to God, but also those that will endeavour to listen.

✨Chose to see and hear the beauty of God’s creative love in nature he gave you✨
    God’s love dancing over you.
The beautiful waves of colors that draw you to rest in the beauty of His creativity of love He has for you!
On days you feel distractions happening that concerns you.
Be thankful you have eyes to see the beauty of God’s creation.
And ears to chose what you hear that brings peace and rest to your soul.
