There was a expedition that had me go to a planet that was mostly water. Had to make a sub and go far from my ship. Once I was done with my expedition I traveled around trying to find ground that barely came out of the water so that I could call my ship. This is upgrade is much appreciated.
Living ships get the aquatic landing upgrade from a spawning sac. I got mine on first sac I used yesterday so could be a guarantee or RNG and I just got lucky.
I personally think I'm going to wait until I've had a bit more time in the game. I understand the vets wanting the option to land on water but I haven't even built a sub yet so I don't want to immediately make things easier. I love that it's an optional thing.

When exploring oceans I plan on making an island or coastal base to use during that "Expedition." I don't really ever plan on making a huge base anywhere aside from my freighter. All other "bases" will be small CoOs.
After having to create terrain from a hill close to surface and then level off the top just to call my ship after subbing around for a while, I WILL need this.

I tried doing one of those but it took so long to mine a path to the water. I hope they fixed the downward placement of stairs instead of stairs that only go UP. Also hallways on structures with separate foundations never align

This is bittersweet. At this point you may as well just put the drowned starships radar on the starship itself since (for me) this makes the nomad and nautillon useless.
Are there different wave physics like rogue waves or tsunamis? I doubt it, but really hope they add it in the future. And do a complete water expansion with sea monsters. Basically SubNautica but No mans sky

I really hope they add settlements on part 2. Like real settlements, villages, towns at least on some planets to give it more life than just wildlife and stuff. Heheh
@@luislongoria6621 expedition 13 adrift multi tool and ship copy is still active I image expedition 14 will begin shortly after all platforms get update , expedition rewards are visible in quicksilver merchant and few new technologies have appeared ingame guides .
updates still not good enough, as there's not even any of the inventory management being better. they need to have a seperate inventory tab for the different category of items, also enough of the stupid stacks, let us pickup whatever we want without having to have it seperated into different stacks cos it reached it's Limit. surely they can do better then this.
You can just rename all of your storage containers into the categories you want. Not to mention exocraft and starship inventories. It's been quite easy for me to organize all the things into something easier to manage. The update is wonderful and definitely good enough from what I can see. Plus this is only Pt 1! 🤟🌌

They need. The ability to walk around the inside of your ship while flying with autopilot so your ship becomes a home. The ability to suit up and suit off and walk around planets without a suit environment dependant. Make the hostile planets truly hostile they need to have a sence of fear involved when landing. Make the ships explode on massive impact rarther then bounce off things. Have a portal to get in and out of your ship you need to get to IE under the hull in order to enter rarther than pressing a button from anywhere. The ability to teleport to your ship from any location. IE Star Trek your ships in orbit and you can teleport to the surface and back. Interactive human city's with things to do buy and side missions. Tone down the colour pallete it's so Vivid. Fix the warp screens they are god awful and look completely unrealistic. Add realistic space events IE blackholes with gravational fields that if your pulled into you can't escape and they warp you too god knows where. In fact add gradational fields to entire systems so that planets can collide and you can explore half destroyed planets or experience a planet that's on the brink of collapse Add asteroids that collide with planets. (They have thins kind of but needs expansion) Environmental and creature damage to buildings thus opening the logic of needing to protect your home with defense equipment. And for the love of the hevens Add more gearsets im talking hundres of different items once you have everything there is really nothing to do other than build a home and watch the sunset.
Just drop a few thousand dollars on Star Citizen if you want to play something that advanced. It's only a financial black hole that's been in development for 14 years, no big deal.
I started a new game on my ps5.. I was lead to a building to get a Hermetic seal and there was a huge plant/tree growing out of the building. Thus I could not get in.... That ended tis play through 😢
Honestly, being able to summon the ship on water is a GAME CHANGER. I'll never be stranded in oceans again!!!

It's still nice to have to just get resources underwater. Searching for the few landing spots on a ocean planet used to be a massive pain

This is going to be so useful when a sunken freighter is very far from land (also I use the same interceptor ship model)

If you look at it, your ship is not so much landing as it is hovering. The Ship does not make contact with the water but hovers slightly above.
