Tony Moore sounds like a fallen angel reaching for the forgiveness of the heavens! He sounds wonderfully strong with the fragility of a man, fighting for what is right
And brotherhood we understood, amazingly perfect song with perfect musicians, those guitars combined with Bobby drumming simply out of this world, Tony voice comes down from heaven.
Take this sword from out my hand, return me to the motherland. Day is night and duty done, now bear me 'cross the river. Sands surrounds us, let it pass, a storm within an hourglass. We rise and fall, time takes it all, we stand and we deliver. Now I stand before you, riven by the choice I've made, And driven by the voice I prayed would sing me home to glory. Who among us knows the day? Ours is but to pass this way. In brotherhood we understood, this battlefield my story. Should I fall before you, I will feel no shame. It is the price of war in blood and in flame. Should you fall beside me, I will do the same, breathe you deep inside me, and carry your name. Thrones, Dominions guide my way, deliver me another day. Cloak me now in righteousness, your champion stands alone. Day of mourning, day of wrath, All fulfill the prophets path, Death is struck, all nature quakes Oh, Father take me home. Now I stand before you, riven by the choice I've made, And driven by the voice I prayed would sing me home to glory. Who among us knows the day? Ours is but to pass this way. In brotherhood we understood, this battlefield my story.
i think its better that few know of riot,i feel like part of an exclusive fortunate club that gets to listen to this incredible music without it becoming overkilled .
when my guitar player and I bought this album back in 2012, we're both huge Riot fans, we were like this sounds so familiar? Turns out the verse is the melody from the chorus of La Isla Bonita, I don't know to me that just makes it more awesome!!! lol!!! Keep rocking Riot!!!
listening to this again breaks me, R.I.P Mr.Reale... most people dont know that its flintz who wrote all the guitar for this album... mark and boby wrote the lyrical side to this, The only Riot Album That Mark. didnt write the actual melodics too first then followed through with, Mark was like a father too me for the short whie i knew him and i know I'll never meet another soul like his.
The way vocals and instruments meld in this song are perfect.

I saw these guys in Seattle in 1980. They opened a 4 band set that included Molly Hatchet, Blue Oyster Cult, and Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio.
