There are living souls and dead souls...which one are you? Supreme lyrical masterpiece(socio-politically relevant, insightful, admonitory, mystically profound and powerfully moving) written by the late, great, one and only Italian-American Metal Stallion, Mark Reale whose Immortal Soul will Rock Hard Forever in Heavy Metal Heaven!! RIOT FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a long time since a convincing heavy metal album does not make it to my turntable and fortunately "Immortal Soul" came to put an end to the waiting! This album is just a jewelll from start to end! Long live to you Mark, here as in beyond! RIP!
Riot was one of my favorite bands back in the early 80's. I never knew this later stuff existed, and I like it Mark Reale would never write shit music.
I was in the Marines when I discovered riot and the then 'fire down under' LP I had 3/6 K CO.ROCKIN! Still badass but R.I.P. Mark Reale. (Chuck R.-true 2 God)
I was in the Army in 83 when I was turned on to them 2/29th FA Baumholder Barracks, Germany I lived in the barracks too, and used to blast the same album out I never listened to any later stuff, but this album is pretty good RIP Mark Reale, Guy Speranza, Rhett Forrester
Young blood, you're so impatient for the feast of good & evil. The time will come and we'll all begin. Didn't you think it just a bit baroque, or maybe it's mediaeval, we're breaking bones instead of bread within. Didn't I say it would be different, your afterlife, the sequel. This festival of carnage feeds on large amounts of mortal sin. Now here's a thought while you're assuming the position; will Jesus raise you on the final day? Didn't you think there'd be a price to pay for such a grand transition? This fellowship of ours depends on centuries of living prey. One more immortal soul, draw closer to the fire. One more companion in murder eternally. Now here's the part where we descend into perdition, far from the world of your imagining. Didn't you think there would be others in this rarefied condition? You want to call yourself a demon, please address me as the demon king... One more immortal soul draw closer to the fire One more companion in murder eternally. One thousand years of song with this unholy choir. One fallen angel behaving infernally. The only love that we have to give will still your heart like a cemetery. Forever lost to forever live, be still forever, love... One more immortal soul...
Amazing band. Heavy, melodic, awesome. RIP all the members that have passed on. A lot of integrity.
