size matters, and small is better. right guys ? right ? guys please
In that CASE, yes
@@aerdeth You should put more emphasis on "case" 😂
No big better
It's ok, it's average
That’s what my wife tells me.
Had an SFF-Time N-ATX case for over two years now, absolutely amazing. Can literally cram everything short of a massive radiator from a typical desktop in a case the size of a large box of cereal.
All the components laid next to each other looks so good, absolutely gorgeous build
She told me only the big ones hurt
@@kumaSOevl i would crash out
Love these smaller builds! The dimensions of that case would be perfect for a powerful custom pc behind a TV for a living room setup.
My god that's beautiful. has me rethinking the ridge i want
thanks, glad you like it :) we also have a smaller P-ATX that is closer in size to the ridge.
This is really interesting and it's something I would like to do with my old build but I find the prices of these smaller atx cases absolutely crazy. 200$/€ for giving new live to an old build is just too much IMO.
I’ve been looking for something like this forever thank you for the video
200$+ for this case is hella pricey tho.
Most SFF cases are expensive. They are low volume parts so economies of scale don’t really kick in. Add in that this is particularly niche because it supports ATX MBs and this price is less than one would expect. For this style of case
I have a feeling going with the dan case a3 is going to be cheaper because you probably only need to rebuy the matx motherboard and the case is only $70
all SFF cases are cash grabs except those that are 100% aluminum frames - those cases are actually worth the $$$
in this CASE, the price is right.
@@mitchy5994 damn sonnnnn
Thanks for the build suggestion. I’m actually planning on building an ITX build with the Fractal Ridge once my Micro Center near me opens up near me on January but after seeing this video and case, I’ll just upgrade my mobo, cpu, cpu cooler and ram from AM4 to AM5.
I have this case. It could do with a few improvements but overall is good. Support for the NH-LS12sx77 is a bonus.
I have this one in the backlog! Thanks Devin for covering this and doing a build! Hope it goes well for me lol. Gonna put a 4090 and an ITX mobo into with a 240 AIO. Just hope the SFX-L doesn't mess me up haha.
Can’t wait for a big case manufacturer to streamline this like Lian Li did with their A4-H20 relative to the Formd T1
I'd love to see such a case made out of wood, for like a furniture HTPC
*15 L | Support for full sized ATX motherboards | 3 & 4 slot GPU | ATX power supply*
Awesome case
But
Freaking sold out 😭
finally a video about N-atx, i love this case, the form factor is awesome, i bought one for my pc, unfortunately my new power supply is so loud i don't know why (gonna be the last time I buy MSI power supply) and the downside of this kind of case is that it didn't help dissipate the sound
great case. love to see a company makes sensible decisions for masses.
The best price/performance point for PC parts comes in mAtx size. So having a small as possible case for these parts makes lots of sense.
i hope they make one even smaller for mAtx boards and small but accesible atx psu and gpus.
not everyone need 4 slot gpu. Most GPUs are 3 slots max.
Need more of these videos
Great vid... I'm slowly realizing my sweet spot is build's that are between 15L and 25L cases. A big atx is just not me.
i have picked up a P-ATX V1.1 that ive been using for awhile now... love the way SFF-time has improved it overtime but i am hoping that the itx / 3 slot combination will be enough that i wont have to redo a case in awhile
50 liter behemoth? Bro did not grow up in the 90s/early 2000s.
Another great video. Love the build!
The visible screws make it look like an Alibaba case. 😊
This is really intriguing as I’d love to have my pc take up less space but I kinda feel sentimental about my current build and am not ready to take it apart and ditch all the hard work I did for my rgb setup and cable management and ditch my arctic 280mm aio. Also I’m not sure my cpu will be sufficiently cooled by a low profile cooler. I’m running the 5800X with PBO enabled.
Recently did the same with a SGPC K66 Air case
People keep in mind that overtime this pc gather more heat than a bigger case (which also gathers heat) so during the day the temp differences will get even bigger.
While the difference is only 10 degrees at the start of testing end of the day it could be 20 degrees.
(this would still be fine)
Hi Devyn, thank you for this awesome review, you really nailed everything and I have nothing to add except for the info about stock which is coming soon as the new batch is already in production :) Jakov from SFFtime
Great video, im looking for something like this because im bedridden and have very limited desk space on bed desk. I currently use a laptop thats 3 years old i just dont like that u cant upgrade it over time a small pc seems the way to go.
I'll never get how they determine how they price cases.
The case is unique
No other case that small can support ATX motherboard and ATX PSU
Also it takes time and money to design something like that, and it's not cheap to precisely cut many aluminum pieces, so the price is acceptable
It's not for budget builds
U can get a decent 30$ big case if you're on a budget
CAD man hours + product design hours + mfg costs + advertising costs = product price.
they charge whatever their customers are willing to pay. That's how prices are determined. Prices have almost nothing to do with the cost of production, that's commie crap.
@@mvargasmoran they do in this case unfortunately ;) small batch and material used are the main reasons, it is impossible to compare manufacturing costs for something like this with average stamped thin metal cases.
brand, quality, design, amount of hours worked on it. many things to factor it. value is not always just the materials. The idea is worth something as well
It's a nice case but I did notice a buzzing sound in the noise level comparison.
The buzzing noise is coil whine. Since the larger case had more inner surface area and a glass side window, it likely muted it enough while the smaller case will amplify the buzzing noise. People notice this too when moving from aircooling to a fully custom water loop setup as the fans will run much lower and no longer hide the coil whine.
@@Kokinkun I thought it might have been but it was such a quick clip I wasn't sure. I appreciate the in depth explanation as I didn't know a lot of the possible causes. Cheers! 🍻
This case would be perfect for me since laying this in its horizontal orientation would allow ALL part fans to be blowing upward. Thats why I dislike the Fractal Ridge case cause the video card in horizontal would be blowing down.
Now....if SFFTime would make this a Mini-ITX case in similar fashion and hold a 3 slot GPU.....that would be amazing!!!!!
We are, new 7L U-ITX model coming out soon 👍
@@riba2233 Great news!! Hopefully within the next two months....and a black option =)
@@valcvetanoski9105 yes to both of those ;)
Waiting for that NanoQ!
Fractal Terra for me!
Honestly with all the fans pointing the same way, you could get away with wall mounting this
Its a nice case but for this price range + performance I'd personally grab a formd T1.
I always like something small because for me, I have the Lenovo Legion go it’s very small and port use as a desktop PC I don’t want to use a bigger size PC because I have no space for it
I know it's ugly... But do you see any way to externally mount a 360 rad somehow?
You were able to find this case??? I was doing a build a month ago and couldn’t find it anywhere!!
We had stock on Sep 1st, sorry to hear you missed it but the next batch is already in production :)
how did you keep your older PC dust free

How much does it weigh? I am wondering if this is something I can implant into my often moving between multiple countries around the year lifestyle, replacing my laptop. I miss the higher performance of a desktop PC.
Around 1.6kg
@@riba2233 Really!? That cannot be true, right? I mean the whole PC, fully built with all the components. My laptop weighs 2.5 kg by itself or 3 kg with the power adapter. 1.6 kg for the case itself, sure. My concern is if I can take it with me as a cabin carry into an airplane multiple times a year.
@@RyanKry just the case of course :)
all cases are sold out, guess ill have to wait months now
This would've been good to know BEFORE I downsized haha
What GPU did you use? 4070 or 3080?
If only I had the magical power of locating any of these amazing cases in stock... :sigh:
hi, they are coming back in stock soon and thanks, glad you like them :)
@@riba2233 don’t suppose you could share any dates, could you? Even a month of restock timing would be nice to know
@@jeffreyyates5296 new batch is is production, it usually takes 6-8 weeks but there might be a few black cases from the previous batch available soon
Can you fit one solo liquid radiator fan that will detach the liquid tubes to the CPU? I’m just curious because they do sell a one liquid radiator fan that has a tube connected for the CPU. Maybe it’ll fit maybe at least one fan that only has liquid radiator on itmaybe a cool maybe just a good okay for the CPU better than a low profile CPU fan.
what timing, i just built an ITX PC and want to downsize to an even smaller build.
This isnt the video for you then right? This is a mid size case for downsizing an ATX build. Look at Formd T1 or a4-h2o builds for a 10L itx build (this build is 15L).
If you have ITX components, you could go for a 10L case, like the Fractal Terra or smaller, like a Velka 7 (7L).
Nice video, and awesome case, if you could actually get one. I find that as the norm with all these niche cases, all kinds of videos promoting them, but you cant actually buy one.
You can when it's in stock 😊
9:21 nice overlay for monitoring, what do you use? And great video btw.
Can you do a build in the phantek shift xt please
Very nice👍👍
what backpack is that?
What cooler would you advise to use on a 5900x?
sold out.
@Devyn Johnston could please share which stats monitor(fps meter) you are using on the monitor? It's hella sexy.
My dream pc is in a 4L case but I’m wayy too broke to build one 😭
YEY, this is exactly what I need THX.
When is someone gonna make a smaller ATX case that doesn't cost a fortune
I wish it wasn't sold out all the time 😅
Did you chose all quiet power supplies and fans?
Whats up with the video quality and sound???
what monitoring software are you using for in game temps?
I have a video on it here: ua-cam.com/video/rRF6lW45c4c/v-deo.html
What backpack is that?
Anybody know what program is being used to display the system temps?
What is it with everyone using Intel CPUs
my 13900k died after 6 months because it was oxidized (confirmed through my RMA), and these MFs tried to make me wait 3+ months for a replacement. I got a refund and bought a 9950x, couldn't be happier the chip absolutely screams. I still have a 14900k but it's not nearly as snappy in windows as the 9950x is, and it's actually slower in gaming AND productivity (I do Blender and Unreal Engine).
Mines not quite as small but it’s still a very compact m-atx that has two AIO’s inside. Water cooled 2080ti and i9 9900k.
it's not available :(
I just bought meshroom v2 😭😭😭😭😭
Ouch, talking about bad timing
Well that case already sold out both black and white variants, so u can't even get it even if u want to
Mushroom v2 is decent and it will get the job done for now, and it's way better than many cases
If u save more extra money in the near future consider replacing it but it's fine for now
pretty solid case. recently finished my first custom loop in it
@@kamm3021 My main reason on getting meshroom v2 was for the compatibility for atx mobo. I wanted to downsize without spending much and I was able to get fan bracket below retail to mount 360 aio
@@maximus3294 that’s awesome
For anyone considering purchasing this case, I've had one and there are a lot of things that aren't discussed in the video. Availability is horrible. When they go in stock, good luck getting one. I was verrry lucky to get mine. The shipping time is really long. Literally months. I believe it took 3 months to get to me in the US. GPU support for horizontal configurations is really flimsy, so plan on supporting the GPU weight some other way. Price is incredibly steep for a case that in my opinion does not look that good. Check out the Meshroom if you have an ATX board. You'll need an SFX power supply, but with the price you save over buying this case it's a no brainer. Better availability, cheaper price, faster shipping options, and your GPU will actually be secure.
Forgot to mention the maker of these cases (goes by the name riba on Reddit) doesn't care to help you out in any way. He has a huge ego issue and will only point the blame at you. I brought up how the GPU could have been supported better and all he did was disagree instead of offering solutions.
@@4x4forlyfe I always help as much as I can (far more than the norm), and longer shipping time was unfortunately a norm back then due to pandemlc. It is 5-14 days at most nowadays. I appreciate the feedback, but let's stick to facts.
@@riba2233 I don't know how you can get more factual than someone literally buying the product, building in the product, and testing the product. Exactly what I was referring to in my previous comment that you don't take criticism well. Thank you for proving my point.
@@4x4forlyfe like I've said, I always provide the best customer service I can and the vast majority of my customers would probably agree. I am really not sure why you have such an opinion, I offered help as I always do (and I take criticism when it's valid ofc).
UGreen Powerbank link is only 24% off? boo
No intake FAN for better airflow ??
no need since cpu and gpu coolers are right against the perforated side panels so they get fresh air directly :)
The hidden power button is perfect for cat owners lol iykyk
More like toddlers 😅
Very interesting. Thank you.
It sucks that I can't find a small case to fit my Rx 7900 xtx xfx merc310 😢.
This one fits all current gpus as long as you use an itx mbo 😊
I checked the dimensions and no, the card is too Long for that case
@@Mobiletechvr it isn't, max length is 390mm, there are no cards that are so long. Your card is 344mm long so it fits no problem, it would even fit in our smaller P-ATX model :)
@@riba2233 so you saying that if I buy the case, I should not have any problem?
@@Mobiletechvr yes, this gpu is not that big so it will fit even with an atx mbo and atx psu :)
How does he get them stats on the screen like that
I have a video on it here: ua-cam.com/video/rRF6lW45c4c/v-deo.html
We are at a point where all the components are just boring and rgb is 5 years past it's sell by date as the bronies have all grown up , or into pronouns. This case is interesting, not itx and gives a solution to space.
Lately my monitor has grown and my pc is the same 570 atx/ 5800x from 3+ years ago with a 7800xt from last year. This really looks like a solution to real estate being at a premium on my work desk now. Cheers for this. As a hater of itx, an atx slim is really something to think about.
Amazing work, you managed to turn a video about an SFF PC into an opportunity to talk about pronouns. Rent-free in your head, dude.
@@gazehound Thank you, move on.
I rather change my motherboard the cpu cooler or the GPU instead of the power supply. Sfx power supplies are way too expensive considering I change mine every 5 years to be on the safe side.
can this case fit a 90 degree angle riser cable?
You paid extra to make your PC work worse. Cg, wp.
I would love to do somthing like this but I have a pci wifi card so not likely
You can get a good usb one
so cool
You know what's my biggest issue with this? The PC case which does not come assembled in a proper box. What happens if you need to ship this PC? Very annoying.
Very.
The video is very good and the completed system looks lovely.
I am not sure how I feel about the ATX motherboard though. I am in general in favor of them, but if due to the size restrictions you have to basically block all the other PCIE slots as the GPU is blocking them, you might as well go for a smaller form factor mainboard. Though I guess in that way you will probably have to have fewer M.2 slots for SSDs and since I doubt you can fit many 2.5 inch SSDs in there, this could be a problem. Choices choices!
Thanks for the video.
Pls send me your NZXT Case :c
If you're starting to get pretty good with CAD, or any other 3D design software, you could just design a similar case and then take the design to your local fabricator. Every city/town will have one they could cut and even bend these for you
You can, but it's not that easy to draw and it will cost you a few times more (and you'll probably wait much longer) ;)
Builds like this show how pointless worrying about airflow is in regular cases is. The cpu and gpu cooler themselves are the ones you need to worry about. not the 30 dollar fan from amazon that you think is going to make a different on the front intakes of your case
May you recommend me relative small and not crazy expensive case that is :
-mATX
- can fit 300mm GPU and PCI sound card at the same time
- would be nice if it fits and wraith prism cooler but that's not a requirement .
I know of Asus ap201 but it's ugly and not really that small...
For now using in-win 301 but cable management and airflow are really lacking .
Looks like a great case, but it's still out of stock :(
Is it possible to make a 3090FE fit in the Meshroom S v2 while also keeping a 240mm radiator and ATX motherboard?
Really nice video, thnx. But why did i buy a ATX motherboard if i'm going to block all those necessary PCIe ports in that slim case?
I could rather buy a mATX (cheaper) or go for ITX motherboard from the beginning if i'm looking for really downsizing.
I have a B650 motherboard too and i'm looking for a better way to keep all the ports underneath the GPU unblocked. Definitely it won't be this small :/
The only thing im wondering is how cold your room was. What do you mean 47°C? Thats only 12° over my normal room temp in summer and my CPUs idle temp with a 360 aio.
At the cost of sacrificing performance due to thermals you put a smaller cooler on your CPU and it runs hotter it doesn't turbo boost as much same with the gpu.
What your ambient temperature? Too good to be true temp in non ac room
0 airflow
Put my tower pc on another room, buy hdmi cable extention, drill a hole in the wall behind my monitor and voila... My pc literally invisible. Nice build though, enjoy watching your vid.
Audio is off on this one. Either way it's a good video. The ITX tax is real!
yea, I agree the audio didn't turn out great here. going to have that fixed in the next ones.
Yeah, great quality all around but the audio seems like there’s a lot of echo! Glad you’re aware though
You forgot to include buying a new sff power supply too
