Nice. Our 2019 Portuguese Camino was terrific -despite the unrelenting rain. I smiled when I heard you mention ponchos. Ponchos made a huge difference for us too. Bom Camino!
Thoroughly enjoyed your little video. It brought back so many memories. I have visited Porto several times and I love the city. I completed the last part of the Caminho Português the year before Covid. I flew into Porto and after a night there, I caught the train up to Valença. I walked from Valença to Santiago de Compostela - your next part. Valença and Tui were lovely border towns. The Caminho through Galicia is a very rewarding walk indeed. Again the people were so friendly. So looking forward to your next video.
Thank you, Porto was lovely. We definitely want to go back and visit again😊 Next part coming soon from Valenca to Santiago 🥰 Glad you enjoyed it and Thanks for watching our video 😃x
At last, a video made by ordinary British people doing a Camino, talking as you go - unscripted. You will never know what a relief it is to find your videos. I cracked up when you said “shit, it’s going the wrong way”. Funniest thing I’ve heard on 100+ Camino vids. 🤣🤣🤣 Well played, guys - superb stuff. Don’t ever change. ❤
@@tonyrand580 Thank you for your great comments, we’re glad you enjoyed it.🥰 We also walked the Camino Frances for 6weeks in June this year & plan to shared that Journey hopefully soon aswel😂
Can’t wait to watch that one - as I’m planning to do the Frances in April/May. It’ll be completely out of my comfort zone….but what the hell. Time to do stuff!!! 😁😁
Great video guys! Did the very same route in May this year and managed to avoid any rain at all. Yes, those hills can be pretty tiring. We’re you both wearing Altras on your feet?
Thank you, one bad day weather (really bad 😂) had a few days of drizzle but most were sunny and glorious. Yes both of us are wearing Ultra lone peak 7. It was our first time using ultras they were great. Only bit for me on the cobbles I felt every stone lol think I needed extra insoles.🥾
Hiya, yes it was a great trip thank you & the wind was definitely fun 😂. Most of our accommodation was amazing & we booked via booking .com in advance. Or we contacted the guest house direct. Glad we did it this way for our first time 😅 Also this way we got to stay at places that get sold out fast. You can’t pre book with the Municipal Albergues you just have to turn up. I like to know where I’m heading to and that I have a room at the end of my day. Maybe next time I’ll be braver 😂 Thanks for watching 🥾
Greetings, thank you for sharing your experience. We plan on walking Camino Portuguese Costal in May 2025, Porto to Santiago. May I ask if you pre booked your hotel/guesthouse/Bnb. Thank you so much.
We did pre book most in advance but we also change & swapped one or two along the way. Mainly booked via on booking.com or air B&B or direct. I like to plan and know where we are stopping so this worked for us. 😅 Many only book the night before or find somewhere when they stop for the night 😃
Thank you, glad you have enjoyed our vlog. Wk2 is coming soon🥾 Filming I mainly used our iPhone 13 Pro Max, but also filmed a bit with DJI mini & insta 360. Thanks for watching 😊
We walked in September & yes absolutely walking as a female solo is safe there were many of all different ages that we met along the way. I would also do it myself solo as a female. I hope that helps . Lindsey 😊
Among the best Camino videos made
Thank you, so glad you liked it 🥰

Thanks Ashley. Part 2 of the Camino coming soon 😁

Amazing video. It's a wonder you didn't lose a hat in that wind!
😂😂 Nearly did a few times, but all part of the fun 😊
love your yellow backpack
Thank you 😍 I love it too. It’s from Decathlon, getting a bit tatty now but sure I’ll get a good few years still out of it 😅🤞🏻

Loved your video! Have you uploaded your week 2 video yet?
Thank you, glad you have enjoyed it😊
Yes have upload week 2 this morning
Thanks for watching 🥾😀
Thanks for sharing images of the wind & rain. Very informative & entertaining. What month were you walking?
Thank you glad you enjoyed our video. We walked in September 😊
Get yourself some big hats (with straps of course). Also, the metallic umbrellas though expensive, seem to work great on those warm, sunny days.
Thank you, will give it a go 😊

@@acoupleofordinarytravellersThank you, very helpful. We will be walking the Camino Portuguese in July 2025.
You will have a great time. Buen Camino, happy hiking 🥾
Maybe I missed it somewhere, but when did you do the walk? Do you think a single female would be OK doing it? thanks for the videos 😊
We walked in September & yes absolutely walking as a female solo is safe there were many of all different ages that we met along the way.
