Jake, really appreciate your videos. I haven't started up the Lawndale side yet, haven't hit anything south of where Marsh meets Two Quarry. I'm really loving North Burma down, there are a few spots on it that if you want you can get three to five feet of air, always exciting. Keep doing the videos, your showing me all kinds of new places in the bay area to ride that I didn't even know about. Thank you.
Oh man, you're gonna love it up there! It's like a little slice of Tahoe. Great combination of tech and flow. I recommend hitting the Burmas if its your first time! Since you're commenting on this particular video though, you could do the same route I did in this video and it will be well worth it! Either way, have fun 👍
Two Quarries can also be climbed by mortals. I ride my Enduro Bikes up it - I do this when I park in the North near Channel Dr. then come down the road, up Two Quarries, Down Lawndale, Up Schultz, Ridge to Marsh (via the short bootleg), South into North Burma and out.
Hey Jake, have you ever ridden Two Quarry up, that's a hell of a trail up especially that course shale section? I just rode up it today for the first time, I've ridden all the trails in Annadel up except for Spring Creek, forget about it, way toooooooooo many people. Two Quarry has been the most difficult out of all of them.
You could definitely get away with a hardtail at Annadel. Riding trails like Rough Go or Cobblestone would be gnarlier on a hardtail but still doable if you’re a capable rider. Hope that helps
I have been riding Annadel since 1989, the first 26 years on a fully rigid GT Pantera (after my original MTB, a Schwinn Sierra, was stolen). So yeah, a hard tail will be doable, if not so comfortable as a full suspension bike. At my current age and state of fitness, my new cannondale makes it all accessible 😅

I'm from Santa Rosa but left a decade ago but have since got into cycling/ Was thinking about coming back for a couple years just to ride Annadel everyday since I never got to do that in before. Plus I currently ride in the city and I found out my state is like the second most bad air quality in the country.

Lawndale is one of the best trails I've ever done

Yes, I’ve ridden up it a bunch. It’s a bit of a bear but once you ride it a few times and get your lines down it gets easier.
I was really waiting to see how you hit the diamondback, the rock garden switchback on lawndale, notice it got chopped in editing =D

Back up Richardson, Marsh trail onto Lawndale.
