I feel like I'm alone on this, but I like the idea of off-road, or wildrider being a truck. It diversifies the team much more in contrast to the aerialbots. In G1 you have a tractor-trailer, an F-1, and three sports cars. Like they were on to something, but kinda gave up half way through. In cw, you have a tractor-trailer, an F-1, A pickup, and, while there are still two sports cars, one is really boxy and the other is curvy, and they aren't the same limb. I like the asymmetricality (not a word, but do I care?) contrasting superion, who is just fighter jets say for silverbolt, but he's the torso, so it makes sense.
You've got a new subscriber. I really like the style of your work. Your spoken reviews are clearly spoken and you don't tend to repeat yourself constantly. Your filming style, especially during transformation is excellent too. I'm already looking forward watching your older posts.
Alpha bravo came to be by devastator tearing superion in half and quickslinger took so much damage that he couldn't be repaired so they replaced him with alpha bravo
also I don't get why people are afraid of parts forming I had g1 figures. I didn't know non parts forming was a thing, wait it wasent when I was wondering.
Oh man, i was already going to say this review was incredibly good, and then the Teen Girl Squad homage put it over the top! :D The engineering on this set is impressive but it's too complex to be fun. I also didn't care for some of the vehicle modes and how the gestalt legs are superfluous, just attaching overtop. I gave up after the first two cars kept nearly cutting my hands during transformation.
I do agree on the complexity taking away a bit of how fun it could be, I dread taking it apart sometimes, especially when I have to move. Mainly because I know I gotta book like half an hour to put it all back together As for the legs though. I kinda don't exactly mind because that's how the G1 figure was in a way. Especially in the cartoon. When you have a giant trailer to figure out what to do with, it sorta makes sense for it to help out in the leg department. In the end I think it pulled off a pretty neat look And thanks = D
+The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer Im late to this but, what would have been alot cooler if Motormater could turn into a car carrier instead of a box truck, that way he could carry the stunticons and it would make a little more sense in a racing/stunt team
+swalstar That's not to say I didn't appreciate it in the past, just something about your delivery appealed more to me this time, I felt a connection..ha ha
So, this has been bothering me for a while, but why didn't you get the PE Menasor chest and head upgrade? It not only fixes the legs but gives him a better head. You spent the money on the hands and legs, but like with Superion, that was only half the upgrade
i actually didn't spend the money on hands and feet for Menasor (wrong review to be asking this btw = P) the hands and feet I bought were for superion at first, but then i bought proper hands and feet for the jets and gave the black ones to Defensor. however, the PE set (for the H/F and the chest upgrade) doesn't fix Menasor at all. yes, it looks better. but, aside from that it actually makes menasor even worse by the fact that waist and thigh articulation is removed entirely so that the plastic upgrade can wrap around and give a permanent A-stance. it improves the look while making him a static figure. as an animator, that's about the worst idea ever for my needs
what made you review with stop motion and not with your hands I guess It makes sense with the channel name "lazy eyebrow reveiwer", no offense for using that name almost so heavily
If i were to redo the stunticons as of today, Wildrider-488gtb Deadend-Panamara 4S Breakdown-Aventador Dragstrip-LFA (or maybe some McLaren) and motormaster can be some hench looking modern cabover thats in production
I love watching these reviews. Stop-motion is something I adore (Used to dabble in it myself) and I actually considered doing something like this when I started my channel (But starring a far more humorless bellend, i.e. me). But looking at all this, just imagining the work you put into these videos makes my arms tired.
Even though having them being apart of the same sires they are still really cool when they have a good combiner mode but I still like all the combiner wars toys even menasor and I like the scrabble city mechanic.
Combiner wars devastator is so big because Hasbro realised that the combined modes of the other combiners are too small compared to other figures but didn't want to resise all of the others and we have this dichotomy between the proper scale with normal C.H.U.G figures and the scale with the other combiners and now I remember Warbotron.
Chocolate Chip Pop-Tarts and Frosted Chocolate Fudge Pop-Tarts are the way. Digging the early IDW style of this Menasor; did you ever get any version of the MP scaled Transform Mission "Havoc"??
Saw Emgo's review before but I'm glad to see that yours was done one year later and thus, solid comparisons with Combiner Wars. I hate CW Menasor. This set will be perfect on my CW/POTP/Select combiners shelf.
@@TheLazyEyebrow Never heard of it. Not even as a rumor. If true it may be just a heavy retool of the CW Onslaught mold. Then released as a Takara Select set like for Abominus, Volcanicus, or God Neptune.
Very impressive review :) I think I like his Menasor mode better than his individual modes, it just looks more g1 I guess lol. Keep up the great work!!! :)
I really enjoyed the Thew homage. In fact, I'd say this is your best review yet. However, I think this figure really has too many flaws to justify its very expensive price. I suppose it's slightly better than the Hasbro version, but I still wouldn't fork out for it.
haha fair enough. on a side note. I don't know if that counts as an homage. i mean, yeah I filmed it, but Thew himself actually rerecorded his lines for this review = D
as you're much better with scale and you noted it with Skywarp, just how big would each combiner be? obviously for Bruticus and Defensor you can resize components to fit the rest more, but would the others work sorry?
Great review, when I saw this guy I kind of wanted him but I might pass due to how hard it is to transform Diesel, they look great in all of there modes but that complex transformation though. I love the Thew bit you threw in there, I can't wait to see more of your reviews! :)

Credit where credit is due, that bit was from Toygrind's G1 Menasor review haha (in fact, he re-recorded the lines for this video voluntarily when I asked if I could reuse the joke a year prior. Absolute champ that guy)
+zilvertron I might one day. just to be honest, i've never had an affinity to predaking before so I'm just not hyped for them, but they do look like good figures

Y'know.. Before Magic Square, every 3P Motormaster was either partsforming hell or origami hell. I really do think the method they went for there/the method they're going for in Legacy is the right way to go, this set does not look fun.
30 minutes of video = about 30 hours of work

Agreed honestly, though I’d rather have a Breakdown based on his TFP appearance than have Off-Road replace Wildrider
