Just so you know, the blastoff combaticon has the same head and body of quickslinger. So you can just repaint EVERYTHING to get the one you always dreamed of.
I used a ball and socket I got from my local hobby shop and made Superion's head ball socketed...I no longer put up with mushroom pegs for heads! Painted Silerbolts shoulders (Superion's hips) red with white center...so nice Also, the DNA upgrades for all combiners are necessary imo 😉
Here is a Fan Mode for Vortex/Alphabravo Mold: Take the tail fin and put it like you would in vehicle, but make sure it stays flush with the Head. Than do the Helicopter thing you did in this review. It's worth it.
i googled "papercraft Teletrann1" and stumbled across the backgrounds. there was like 5 or 6 different tiles and I got 4 of each background printed out at Staples. then using big sheets of cardboard, glued together multiple 2x2 backgrounds to end up being what it is today
There IS a solution... Hilarious! I actually store my extra parts & weapons in a Transformers lunchbox! I'm not crazy about Superion or the Aerialbots, never really have been, but I love this review! I have the Cyclonus remold of Silverbolt & I have a lot of fun with it with the Stunticons. I totally agree you on the design for this figure! Excellent review once again!
Orthia does the Silverbolt thing, where Elita-1's arms become Orthia's thighs, but her ratchet joints are a little too flimsy for her to do anything but standing up straight. Any ideas on how to strengthen these joints?
Neat. I think you forgot to mention the folding down nose-cone though. Concordes have "drooping nose-cones" to improve the pilot's visibility of the runway whenever they're about to take-off.
Great review! That is why Superion is one of two CW toys I have (another one is legends Skywarp). Other CW combiners can't compete with Superior in terms of accuracy and playability.
I just got the full CW Superion after all these years and it's one of my favorite combiners now. He is so good looking, so fun to pose and play with, and I got him together with Quickslinger for a decent price.
I love alpha bravo he looks cool and I like how it it's not to uniform I like some differences in the vehicles plus I don't like quickslinger he looks dumb to me but superior looks ok with him
Put a ball joint on his head using ball screws and joints from RC cars plus the upgrade kit, some paint on the hips and weapons and it's great. Here's to hoping we get a kingdom version...
@@TheLazyEyebrow The Silverbolt style torso really is my favorite combiner torso from the CW/PotP lines, too. I still think they could have made the ratchets for the combined mode legs just a little stronger, though. Of all the combined mode torso types, my personal least favorite is the Starscream/Elita One torso… it just falls apart WAY too easily-though Motormaster/Prime is a close second (aftermarket kits did wonders for Prime).
Good review man, great video I bought my son this guy for Christmas but I couldn't find the air raid for love nor money so I cheated instead I got blades from defensor and now have the 3 planes and 2 helicopters to even it out a little. My son was none the wiser and still loves the big fella. Keep up the good work

When I was a kid and saving up for these because the box showed that Dead End the stunticon was supposed to be one of the arms, I got him instead of the black plane bot, And mind you even then I knew that that made zero sense, but I just assumed it was some new crossover gimmick

i love watching your videos there so funny.congards on the little girl on the way and BTW for anyone that has silverbolt.please becareful of the pin that holds the combinder head to the body, if you tend to transform him more then keep him display.i only had my silverbolt for a month when the wave first came out and the plastic around the pin broke and i didnt see any stress on it until it happened.so watch out fellow transformer fans. thankfully i was able to fix mine with a little super glue because it wasn't broken from one end to the other but still be careful.
yeah,it seems to be farely common when i asked about it on the transformers facebook group im on so i thought since i didnt see anyone leave comments about sliverbolt problem,i figured any reviews i watch of it i'll post a comment about to let other knows as well to help out. I've come to find out the best way to keep the stress from happening when i got my new one and it been holding up better then my first one was to hold it by the plastic part where the pins in but not tight,just frim enough to were you wont feel like your forcing the head to move into place like it does when your not holding it.if that makes since lol,i know with my first silverbolt every time i put the combiner head in place i would hear what sounded like a small pop sound but i never thought anything about it since transformers always make some kind of sound anymore when you transform them anymore lol should had took that into notice when i first heard but oh well live and learn right? xD
Hahaha pretty much. are you talking the pin that is at the top of silverbolt's waist, or the pin that's at the middle of silverbolt's abs. I just inspected mine and both are fine and the way i transform it doesn't seem to put any stress on any of the joints. but I'll definitely keep my eye on it from now on

I definitely agree with your method of storing the accessories it just 1 problem I tend to forget who is who sometimes so I end up just find them in plastic ziplock bags with a picture of the figure what also works also keeps the drawers from being too messy

I think the reason why people complain when a vehicle mode can’t store accessories is because they don’t want to have to go dig around in a drawer to find them. The obvious solution to that is to label each drawer for each set of accessories, but people are lazy and they think it’s better to wine rather than solve the problem.
Easily the best combiner mode torso out of the lot(Not counting Sky Reign/Lio Kaiser, as that one has yet to come out). Also helps that my Silverbolt wasn't a lemon out of the box. Now to get a Slingshot that doesn't cost my life savings.
Great review and I think I have to agree with you on superion as my favorite combiner of the year [well hasbro combiner anyway] he just works so well and I don't have Quickslinger yet ether but I will have him someday, I can't wait to see your review on apllyon and some certain hand and foot upgrade. ;) ;)
well, there's a third part coming for this figure, and theennn......I haven't decided yet. I'm starting to get Gestalt burnout, but I wanted to get started on Defensor, but I have at least 2 MP's, a KO, and a classics figure I have plans all for but I can't do all at once

hello again. i too like superion but i would go as far as saying that alpha bravo ruins the the whole uniformed look that superion was famous for. alpha bravo is not good in superion, works great with defensor as blades, but vortex in terms of his vehicle based on a RESCUE helicopter and not a combat helicopter does not tickle my fancy but it works for bruticus. now silverbolt, i too love his vehicle mode and his robot mode. plus his torso mode captures superion perfectly. now in terms of his remolds, silverbolt had 2, cyclonus and scattershot. cyclonus looked great and i think works well for the mold. robot mode looked fine and his vehicle mode captured his original g1 alt mode perfectly. though i think torso mode works great for a galvatronus though i think the combined mode with skydive, air raid, dragstrip and break down is rather interesting. also, takara released grand galvatron with cyclonus sporting g1 galvatron's paint scheme. now, scattershot his robot mode looks fantastic and love the vehicle mode. his torso mode though, is just superion's chest painted red with superion's head instead of computron's head. but his combined mode with ironhide, prowl, mirage and sunstreaker does not work for me
well there might be some hope, in this year's botcon they are having bot exclusive figures. one of them is predacon general Ramhorn who is a re-tool of brawl who could be remade into nosecone
but in terms of the other technobots, im not sure yet but if i wanted technobots i would have the following: After Burner- Re-tool/ new head of Takara Groove Lightspeed- Re-mold of breakdown Strafe- Re-mold of Air raid
It appears from box art that computrons arm is an extensive retool of UW groove as well as a retool of general ramhorn which will be released at bot-com this year. His other arm is just the jet mold and his other leg is the dead mold "for the 13 time I believe"
First love your videos second I have defensor hotspot, streetwise, and first aid (which is my second one because only after three days of owning it the right arms elbow joint broke so two been doing better) and then I have prowl and skydive which I like his paint scheme so that my combiner I didn't get all of defensor for to resign one I could never get groove until I'm older ( the UW groove not CW groove) and two I like the mix and match as well as the whole have a complete combiner team also I put street wise as the left leg first aid as the left arm skydive as the right leg and prowl as the right arm so ya oh and #Rodamus prime rocks and Optimus prime is Hulk Hogan without the the mustache

i 100% agree with you about the weapon storage stuff i bought the upgrade kit for SS revenge of the fallen megs and the fucking fusion cannon in that upgrade kit has a peg so it can store on the robot modes back........ i repeat a weapon which in the fucking movie transformed out of his hand in the movie stores on his back..... it was pointless and ruins the look and not only that but it causes issues in tank mode i just will never understand why they did it

Dude, you really need to stop ragging on about alt mode weapon storage. It IS important! Not just to prevent loss, but because it fits within the context of the series for Transformers being able to carry their weapons in either mode. What you do with your own figure is your business, but quit bashing others for insisting on covering weapon storage. You need to explore all aspects of a toy's functionality for a complete review.
idk I think it's great when it includes it, and I'll admit I have so many figures that finding who's weapon is what at this point is a bit of a chore, but I really do think it's annoying that everyone complains the weapon is a big stupid thig on the roof of the car when you can just...not... put it there?

One of my other issues with the figure, and the line in general, is the same with Thew's "WHERE IS ALL THE GODDAMN LIGHTPIPING?"
in 2012, where I'm more than happy it stayed. light piping is murder to make look good in animation

hello again. i too like superion but i would go as far as saying that alpha bravo ruins the the whole uniformed look that superion was famous for. alpha bravo is not good in superion, works great with defensor as blades, but vortex in terms of his vehicle based on a RESCUE helicopter and not a combat helicopter does not tickle my fancy but it works for bruticus. now silverbolt, i too love his vehicle mode and his robot mode. plus his torso mode captures superion perfectly. now in terms of his remolds, silverbolt had 2, cyclonus and scattershot. cyclonus looked great and i think works well for the mold. robot mode looked fine and his vehicle mode captured his original g1 alt mode perfectly. though i think torso mode works great for a galvatronus though i think the combined mode with skydive, air raid, dragstrip and break down is rather interesting. also, takara released grand galvatron with cyclonus sporting g1 galvatron's paint scheme. now, scattershot his robot mode looks fantastic and love the vehicle mode. his torso mode though, is just superion's chest painted red with superion's head instead of computron's head. but his combined mode with ironhide, prowl, mirage and sunstreaker does not work for me
I'm wondering if Takara will make a computron. they made the grand galvatron so it's noy like it's out of reach for them
well there might be some hope, in this year's botcon they are having bot exclusive figures. one of them is predacon general Ramhorn who is a re-tool of brawl who could be remade into nosecone
but in terms of the other technobots, im not sure yet but if i wanted technobots i would have the following:
After Burner- Re-tool/ new head of Takara Groove
Lightspeed- Re-mold of breakdown
Strafe- Re-mold of Air raid
sounds about right man. i don't see why it couldn't be done
I would prefere alpha bravo , skydive , air raid , fire fly and silverbolt as my superion squadron

saw that. I don't know if I want a computron, though I do hope for everybody else that they make the rest of the team

It appears from box art that computrons arm is an extensive retool of UW groove as well as a retool of general ramhorn which will be released at bot-com this year. His other arm is just the jet mold and his other leg is the dead mold "for the 13 time I believe"

First love your videos second I have defensor hotspot, streetwise, and first aid (which is my second one because only after three days of owning it the right arms elbow joint broke so two been doing better) and then I have prowl and skydive which I like his paint scheme so that my combiner I didn't get all of defensor for to resign one I could never get groove until I'm older ( the UW groove not CW groove) and two I like the mix and match as well as the whole have a complete combiner team also I put street wise as the left leg first aid as the left arm skydive as the right leg and prowl as the right arm so ya oh and #Rodamus prime rocks and Optimus prime is Hulk Hogan without the the mustache

Bout the head armpits, before you rotate out the combiner port you just swivel the head backwards, and thats fixed...

i 100% agree with you about the weapon storage stuff i bought the upgrade kit for SS revenge of the fallen megs and the fucking fusion cannon in that upgrade kit has a peg so it can store on the robot modes back........ i repeat a weapon which in the fucking movie transformed out of his hand in the movie stores on his back..... it was pointless and ruins the look and not only that but it causes issues in tank mode i just will never understand why they did it

Dude, you really need to stop ragging on about alt mode weapon storage. It IS important! Not just to prevent loss, but because it fits within the context of the series for Transformers being able to carry their weapons in either mode. What you do with your own figure is your business, but quit bashing others for insisting on covering weapon storage. You need to explore all aspects of a toy's functionality for a complete review.
idk I think it's great when it includes it, and I'll admit I have so many figures that finding who's weapon is what at this point is a bit of a chore, but I really do think it's annoying that everyone complains the weapon is a big stupid thig on the roof of the car when you can just...not... put it there?
as an added point, this video is however many years old now, idk if you've noticed, but I don't even cover this point anymore

I tell jokes, i make skits, i [usually] have fun with the figure and write the script based on my experience with the 10-15 hours i spent animating it. In some cases i even showcase what figures could look like with modifications and add ons.
If you want a structured video about everything covered about what the figure is out of the box, you're definitely in the wrong place
