- After Jackson I decided to head to Lansing and record a bolt. Met up with WeatherWarningSirenOfMichigan for this test. Lansing tests the First Saturday of every month at 1:00pm.

I thought they normally test for 3 mins? Also, I loved the "Oh, my god - that was so loud" at the end :D

That "Oh, my god - that was so loud" was me. I wasn't expecting it to blow my ears right off since my last experience with a thunderbolt which was like last month didn't faze as much.
it was 1 minute of alert and attack but was changed to alert for 30 seconds due to karens complaining about the sirens so darn much. it used to be 3 minutes I believe but that was probably all changed when the new 2001 siren came out.
It used to be Full Alert and Attack until they upgraded the radios that when they went to 1 min Alert and a couple years later they switched to 30 secs
