Yes that’s right!! It really is one the nicest passes and it feels amazing to ride no matter how many times we have been there 😊. It’s actually amazing how much lower the glacier was when gold finger was filmed. Thanks for watching and we hope you are enjoying the channel. Sean and Emily
Just came across this. Great video. I was humming the "Goldfinger" theme...with scenes filmed on the Furka 60 years ago when the glacier reached much further down as you noted!
Hi, thanks very much! haha fitting theme tune to any Furka pass ride. It would have been amazing to see the glacier reaching the valley and even to stay in the famous hotel. Thanks for the Sub and we hope you enjoy the rest of the videos on our channel 😊 Sean and Emily seanandemilytravels.com/

Thanks so much for watching, hehe no release date for season 2 yet 😊. Haha indeed they were great company, we had a really good laugh on this trip 😊 Greetings from Switzerland. Sean and Emily
Wonderful ride and filming AND a wonderful couple. I've ridden in the Alps many times in the past but living here in the eastern U.S., we don't have quite the same types of roads. I'm now in my eighties and it has been 10 years since I've ridden in the Dolomites and, unfortunately, it won't be happening again. However, I will be forever grateful for all those opportunities of riding in the magnificent European Alps.
Hi Peter, it's so nice to hear from you, thanks for taking the time to write a comment and share your experiences. That's so cool that you have ridden the Alps and what amazing memories you must have of those rides. Thanks again for watching and we hope you enjoy the rest of the videos and playlists which you will probably recognize 😎👍
Great views! Just came myself from motorcycle tour through Alps. Did 6000 km. and many passes in Italy, Switzerland and France., but Furka, Grimsel, Umbrail, Stelvio and oh my God! - Gavia! - are my favourits! Keep up good work! Be safe! Have fun! ✌️
I come from Nepal. Similar terrain, mountainous. The only difference is road. My country will not be able to buils such roads in next 100 years. 😅 I have heard a lot about Alps. This is one of my dream riding bucket list. Such a beautiful video
Wow Nepal!! This is also one of our dream destinations, i guess the good thing of not having the roads like this is it keeps them quiet -these get very busy in the summer. Thanks for your comment and here's a few more form this short tour: ua-cam.com/play/PLl_mRzVHVQ0xN6hpboQjhpn9x4nhoGLkx.html&si=HHkntiuEnJ2d22yb
My grand daughter and her dad this trip a month ago. This trip included I aly, Austria, France Germany and Switzerland on their motorcycles. She’s not long passed her test at 21. They also did Stelvio. She said it was just unbelievable, especially as she has never seen big mountains before. 32 degrees in some places an d- minus 3 on the mountains at 17.50 between Italy and Austria. We have just watched this together, your filming is better than hers but she lives in hopes! Thank you for posting. Stay safe , it was great.
Hi, sounds like they had a great trip - what a great trip to have done together. The mountain roads are so impressive, even after riding them many times they still always take our breath away. The temperature changes are incredible, there's no better feeling than dropping back down into the valley after it gets chilly at the top =). Thanks for commenting and i hope you enjoy the rest of the channel. All the best Sean and Emily
Greetings from N.I. AHH dont you just love Italian drivers " mad as a box of frogs" For Sirmione stay in Pescheria Hotel Dori is good will garage you bike, take the ferry at 9 am in the morning over to Sirmione its great and quiet then , you can walk in your shorts T shirt etc . After that get the next ferry to Lazise or Bardolino then back to Pescheria great relaxing day out. PS Remember the Italians are just the Irish in the sun... lol😂😂😂Regards Robert & Carolyn
Hi Robert & Carolyn, hehe that sums it up well =) Great tips with the ferries! -sounds like you know the area well. Some of those small towns on the lake look beautiful and what better way to see them than on the ferry. Hehe we will try and remember for the next time we are there =) Kind regards Sean and Emily

Great video guys, It's been so much fun and interesting to have watched a few of your trips. Beautiful weather helps as well. I must try and get over to your area from the UK for a trip.
Thanks Jonathan! We are really glad you enjoyed them and thanks for commenting 😎. Yeah it’s well worth the journey -hopefully you have an idea now of where you would like to ride 😎🙌🏻 Cheers Sean and Emily
Nice ride,....Where in Basel do you live?, i visit often (from UK) i have a friend lives in Bruderholz (not far from Toff-Center) and a friend just outside Basel in a village called Duggingen (on the road to Aesch/Laufen), its nice to ride in Switzerland, having said that, the last time i was coming down the Susten pass towards Wassen/Lucerne i got a horrible bout of vertigo, inexplicable,!! never had that before, had to slow right down until i got to lower elevation, The Jura area is also nice riding and of course Schaffhausen/Rheinfalls is worth a look
Hi Walter, we live not so far away from your friends also in Baselland. There is a really cool road next to Duggingen called the Gempenstrasse, one to check out the next time you are over. Basel city is undergoing some major building work at the moment but it will look good when it's finished (they are block paving the entire city centre and renovating the old Globus building). Sorry to hear about the Vertigo, perhaps it was the sudden change in altitude, glad it ended well for you. Yeah Jura is nice too, although we tend to head to central Switzerland on the weekends. The Rhein falls is magnificent, especially the viewing platform on the north side that sits on top of the water. Thanks for watching and maybe see you on the road this year 😎👍
I did a solo trip on my gsa around 2nd wk in august I had stunning weather and a fantastic time on the passes can’t wait to go back 👌great channel guys thanks for the memories 😊 Steven
Hi Steven, great to hear from you and thanks for the support and encouragement! So glad you had good weather, it's a special place to ride that's for sure and the passes never get boring. Maybe see you on the road next year =) All the best Sean and Emily
Speed shamed by your wife Sean . OUCH 😂 Great video guys it’s such a special place to ride. It’s a shame you did not take your friends up the old st gottard, it’s definitely a pass to do as a right of passage. I took 12 Harley’s down it last year and it was definitely a highlight of the trip for most of them.
Hehe wasn't the first time and certainly wont be the last lol. Oh cool, are you a tour guide? -I think this area of Europe has the some of the best rides in the world! Cheers Sean and Emily
Hi, thanks very much!! For the moment we don have any GPX files available however if you check the Description of the video there will be time stamps with the location/name of the important places. I hope this is useful. All the best Sean and Emily
Absolutely!! Unfortunately it would have to be closed 5 months of the year but I reckon it would still do well! When we get a million subs we will buy it 🤣
Next time…ride the Panoramastrasse or the Glaubenbergpass into the Entlebuch. Than you can take the A2 in Dagmarsellen or in Sursee to Basel. This way you ride around Luzern. Much nicer. Takes a bit longer ofcourse.
Yeah great suggestions for anyone returning to Switzerland or who has more time available. We often ride via Sursee back to Basel (where we live) great views of the Alps even form afar. Thanks for watching 😎👍

Not sure really as we can do most of these passes in a day from where we live. However we when we do stay in Switzerland we always use hotel card for half price deals. Put your dates in and filter 50% then click map view to see if anything is nearby. June is a good month to go as it’s looking like there is no chance of an early opening this year as it’s still covered in snow!
