I think a plot structure video would be so cool. I play minecraft with my brother and his friends, but I'm pretty sure I'm the one most interested in building, and I love to tell a story through the build!
These kinds of videos are my favorite. All the rule videos or tips a tricks are helpful but I love watching people just explain their thought process as they make a build.
I JUST finished my interior the other day and now I have to go through and do it over but while watching this! Fantabulous video friend! (PS the How to build using a story was really helpful with my last few building ❤)
@Puddlleshine Copy paste! Keep the interior you did before, then compare it to how you utilize these techniques afterward. I had to do that pre video to make sure they actually worked. XD
Brilliant! So many good tips in this video. Interiors can be so overwhelming, I love the idea of focusing on what you want it to convey, not just technical things like what appliances belong in a whatever room (which is how my mind works LOL!)
You are such an amazing teacher! It’s a hard skill to acquire and you seem naturally gifted. You present questions to help someone understand on there own terms the “why.” The breakdown why that is or isn’t the case. And continue on the explain ways to develop. *Gold Star* :)
@Julian-ge3kl That's such a high compliment! Thank you so much! I was raised by a teacher and was a TA (teachers assistant) for most of my life. It's good to know that it might have rubbed off on me a bit. ^-^
I'm in love with the chain+end rodes design for tall candles, gonna use it somewhere (maybe in the catacombs of my castle?), and thank you very much for the advices, especially the one with adapting to dificulties. This one is the biggest strugle for me, when I'm trying to put so much stuff in so little space XD.
@marling013 Oh, yeah. Sometimes, it's okay to compromise with the wonky spaces and let them tell you what they need. I'm not remembering where the idea of the candle rods came from, but I don't think it was my original idea. XD
I'm a good (enough) builder when it comes to structures, but interiors are 100% my killer. This video helped a lot! Definitely earned a subscribe to see any future videos. :)
this video really helped me! I love libraries, i wish i could live in a gaint cozy library even tho i dont really read books, i like being around books
@splash4485 I'm so glad! I also love books! I don't read as much as I used to either, but books always give me a vast amount of comfort, so I try to put at least one bookcase in each of my builds. XD
Thank you for sharing your process. Right now I'm working on a rustic farm owned by a mage. (We're playing nodded with Create and Ars Nouveau). The big thing I'm struggling with is breaking up cobble texture on the larger builds.
@JessicaConner Thanks for joining me! Oo! Texturing is fun. My friends Lane and Feather have been using dead coral and tuff for texturing cobblestone. If you need a more smooth texture, I normally use andesite and regular stone.
I’m pretty good at interiors, if a bit simplistic, but it’s the exteriors where I struggle. Literally, I cannot build a house from scratch, even if I’m starting from the interiors and working backwards, unless I have something to work off of. Hence why I usually build bases underground or in naturally spawning caves
@aaronalkor I was the same way! I still prefer to build things in caves or under people's builds because they're more comfortable for me. I have learned a lot about building exteriors recently and will try to make a tutorial on it soon.
