I just stumbled across your channel and am binge watching! Thank you so much for all these videos. Im having fun, while sitting in my home in Michigan.
Always love to hear that we have inspired people! St Breward is not too far from a the north Cornish coast, you might like to watch Tintagel or any of the Port Isaac/Doc Martin videos (Port Isaac is lovely even if you are not a Doc Martin fan). Hope you have a great holiday, Sarah
Nice video, enjoying your content alot since subscribing (as a Poldark fan). I was lucky enough to be invited to Nampara to get an exclusive view a couple of years ago (between series 2 and 3) when it was much used in the series. I will be putting together some photos/videos of this if you look out for it in the near future.
Sounds fantastic - I will look out for it! We are more aware of exactly where it is now and have talked about making a quick vlog of finding it, a revisit! Sarah :)
@@CornishWalkingTrails I believe Jim was later moved to Launcestion jail which was in the grounds of the Norman Castle. Ross breaks in and frees his former Stable Lad? who has caught a illness from the his time in Jail. who passes away in the company of friends. the local Pub the white Hart is also mentioned in the stories at some point
You can find Poldark's cottage on Goole Earth. Go to St Breward and take a scan right about a mile or so and the old farm is down its own straight track. You can take the little red man to the gateway or alternatively, carry on the single track road until it ends and scan left and the farm is recognisable from that vantage point. Remember, it's not in the village but upon the moor away from anywhere.
Thank you, that a really nice, helpful comment! This is one of our early videos and could probably do with w revamp. We may just have to go and look for the house again! Sarah :)
You can see Nampara from the other side of the De Lank River. Turn off the A30 west of Temple on the little St Breward road, turn right at the crossroads half a mile later and park up by the stone circle. Walk around the east slopes of Carbilly Tor down to the river and Nampara will be on the opposite hillside.
Hi Ian, I wonder if you remember leaving this comment?!? We visited the area today and when we looked at the ordnance survey map, the area to the East of Carbilly Tor seems to be private land. It would be great if you know if we are allowed to walk across the fields by Carbilly Tor, or is there a footpath closer to the river, maybe on the bank, many thanks Sarah :)
@@CornishWalkingTrails Hi Sally, the fields might well be private but we took a cavalier attitude and dodged the cattle in our enthusiasm to see Nampara. There are many photographs on Google Images of Nampara (Ivey Farmhouse) which look as if they were taken from the summit of one of the tors with a telephoto lens. That approach might be more practical. Hope that helps, Ian P.

Always love watching your walks
Ahh! Thank you! Your comment comes at a great moment for me - I'm just struggling with some editing but feel better now! Sarah :)
This was really nice! Thank you for sharing your walk. I and my family are staying near St Breward next week, so this has given me some ideas.

"Don't feed the butterflies", seriously? That's the British countryside at its best. Thanks again. Totally charming.
You are so right! :) Sarah
