As a mom of 5 waking up before them is gollldddeeennn to me its the only time i Have for me i love it and im a much less cranky stressed out mom! My kids are 12 5 3 1 and 7 months best thing i ever did waking up before them ...also love the toy rotation idea life saver!
Thanks for all the great suggestions! I've always been more of a night hawk and would rather sleep in. Well I've changed my ways just so that I can get some exercising done. My alarm goes off at 5:15 am (never thought I'd be able to do it but it's working great!) then I exercise, shower and get ready for the day before my kids get up and the day begins. It has worked AMAZING! I feel so much better and have more energy during the day! I'm exhausted by 9:00 pm and off to bed I go!
"I'm not sleeping, just resting my eyes"...Hahaha, that is me. I love Productivity Number 3. I do that now and I love it. I get to work out, prep breakfast and lunch for school for me and my kid. Some mornings, I just scroll through social media and have alone time. It's the best.
Great tips! My little boy is 11 months but he’ll be a toddler before I know it so these are great to think about now. Love the mirror & the idea of waking up before them for some time to yourself before the MADNESS. Great video!
I don’t do anything “productive”during my kids nap time. That’s my union break. I eat lunch, take a nap, and watch some tv. Obviously there are exceptions to this, but not very often.
Really working on getting up before my son. On days I do, my day runs much smoother. It’s been great for throwing on some clothes, catching up on the news, drinking my coffee hot and giving undivided attention took to our bulldog - things that help me start my day on the right foot!
Just First Coffee. You are doing the right thing. I remember, when my son was a toddler. He made more messes than, I could clean. But he isn't a child anymore. He helps me when, I need something done. Love your son. He can be a handful.
The waking up before your kids is GOLD. I do this every single day. Usually they would be going to school but with this virus and quarantine, they are home all day. All. Day. Its been 26 days of quarantine for us 😭🤣 anyway, now that they are home all day, my alone time before they wake up is golden. I get up, clean the house a bit, make coffee, scroll my phone, watch UA-cam and shower even. My kids are 16, 12 and 9 so they arent babies at all but they are still needy 🤣🙄 this video is a life saver to moms with babies tho!!
I need to get you a marker board! Best thing ever for the naptime hustle list; and there is something so satisfying about wiping a task off a marker board and you don't fill up/waste valuable notebooks. I love your videos!
5:00 - Yessss!! Routine is sooo very important for kids. It's one of the reasons school is so important. I work at a daycare, and as the kids get older the routine is posted so they can see what they are doing and when. Not to mention that the predictability of the routine and keeping things consistent is very good for kiddos (and everyone, really!)
This video is everything right now!! Also the beginning with the knife made me literally laugh out loud. I love the naptime hustle list, and waking up early. I know I need to do it, I need that time and seeing this reinforces that. Thanks for all the great ideas!
Bless you! I once walked into my living room (from cooking in the kitchen) and my daughter had a box of matches (that she got from where? We don't use matches in our house!). Yes to toy rotation! It's like she gets a new set of toys every couple of weeks. My daughter likes to help with chores. Does it take longer? Yep. But she loves helping.
I love your sense of humor! I am well past the age of caring for toddlers, but a lot of your tips are useful for anyone, plus you always give me a chuckle! TFS!
I love the command hooks on the back of the high chair! Just yesterday I got new bibs & didn't know where to keep them in the kitchen. Our house is small so this hack is perfect.
I'm a toddler teacher and having a schedule and routines help 100%. They start to learn what happens after they wake up for example or start to know when they go outside. It helps so much especially if you have multiples. I take care of 10 toddlers with the help of a co-teacher. This what I tell parents when they ask how we take care of so many toddlers at one time.
You are a huge inspiration for me! My daughter is the same age as Miles, and it seems like every time I'm struggling with something, you put out a video for it! You make everything so relatable and easy to follow. Thank you for sharing everything!
Haha, I’ve definitely put the monitor on my son who doesn’t really crawl far yet while I was in my bathroom. He was just playing with his toys in the same spot, so cute.
Meal planning! I use a free printable planner that I typically print off weekly and monthly pages. Lately I’ve been printing off 4 monthly planners (activities, breakfast, lunches, and dinners). Until the school year ended abruptly, I was planning 1 breakfast for home (my boys typically get up by 5 AM) then a breakfast for school (LO was in pre-K 4s and started school at 8, we were asked to bring breakfast/ send money and a snack). I couldn’t have him wait that long for breakfast plus it’s not in my nature to send my kids out with no food. Then I planned out 2 lunches each weekday. After I started meal planning, I found my attitude towards the day greatly improved! Even if I was very tired, simply having a plan helped!
The biggest help for planning dinners is having themes- Sunday is something in the instant pot, Monday is sheet pan, “Taco Tuesday”, Leftovers Wednesday and Saturdays/ something easy like soup and sandwich, Thursday is pork, and Friday is Italian night. I change them up except for Tuesday from time to time. Having a theme keeps me focused on researching new recipes, making sure we have variety, etc.
Really loved Hacks 3-5, I'm a caregiver to my elderly mum and I do the checking in on her incessantly so i'll have to try and figure where to put the mirror as well.
First time seeing this video.... This is a great list, #3 is GOLD!!💖 From experience, doing tip #3 makes SUCH a huge difference in the productivity of my day! I definitely agree with making sure you have a plan for that time!
I love your channel! I use the prep in bulk method when cooking for my own family. If it can be frozen, I never make just one. And if using within a few days, I cut or chop a lot and store in fridge🙂. Can't wait to implement toy rotation. Thanks for the great hacks!
Loved this video! And I learned something new, I really liked the idea with knowing what to do when your toddler sleeps. And the idea with scheduling the day in time blocks 😊. Will watch it again after my little boy goes to sleep and take some notes 😃. Take care
I really enjoyed this It might sound weird but I don't have kids but I'm a care taker for my sister I would like to get things done before she gets up in the morning i do alot for her
Thank you! You were in point and thank you for the advice. 🙃 I did have a question, where did you get the bumper for the entertainment center? My daughter is starting to crawl everywhere and our entertainment center isn’t that safe!
Your mom hacks are the best! And I completely agree about that hour to yourself before baby gets up. I use it work out and sip some coffee. I don't regret it at all. How old is Miles? My son is 15 months
This may sound silly but how to you plan/pivot your schedule when your kid gets sick. I'm all good on the scheduling but then my kids get sick and my productivity gets wrecked.
I can’t wait until my kids sleep better so I can wake up before them. My youngest still wakes up six+ times a night 😭 once he’s sleeping better, I am TOTALLY waking up before them!!
Thank you for doing this. As a mom of five (4 special needs), I watch you and am reminded that we all still always have so much more we can learn. Thank you for helping; my house is a mess, and you are so amazing without seeming know-it-all.🥰
My favorite hack/tip from when my girls were younger (and we still use it now at 7 and 9-years old) is a lingerie bag for their socks. Perfect for making sure your washer and/or dryer doesn't eat them. Plus as they get older matching clean socks was the first chore.
I'm trying to create a baby registry still (due in July). I'm struggling to decide how many of anything I should ask for. Bibs, bottles, washcloths, burp cloths, newborn clothes, 0-3month clothes etc. Anyone with advice, I need help! Cuz how am I supposed to know which bottles the baby will prefer, or which is more important burp or washclothes? Or do I really need a baby food maker, bottle warmer, bumbo (for sitting up)? I have a body pillow now to help with sleep, would that work for breastfeeding (if I folded it in half) or do I need a separate pillow for that? Maybe you already did a video but I cant remember.
Bottles are trial and error. Buy one of a few brands then you can buy more when you know what they like. If you are breastfeeding you may not need a bottle warmer unless you plan on freezing and bottle feeding a lot. Ant pillow works for breastfeeding but a boppy pillow is nice since you can also prop baby in it on the floor or bed when you need to set them down. You do not need a bumbo seat, propping up baby and doing tummy time all help their core strength. Bumbos are nice if you have a baby that likes to sit up and get frustrated easily. Wearing baby is amazing so look into carriers
You don't need baby washrags or towels use your regular ones to save money and get prefold diaper inserts for burp rags they are soooooo absorbent. Don't worry about bibs for a while you have 4 to 6 months before you need to worry about that.
@@laurenschroeder2519 thank you so so much for the help! I'll adjust my registry. Duh I dont need special baby rags 🤦♀️ I just added them because the registry recommended it. A towel is a towel lol.
This is a sterling article. I read a congruent book and it was exceedingly thought-provoking. "Dominating Your Clock: Strategies for Professional and Personal Success" by Anthony Rivers
You win the most relatable human award of the day. 🤣
Yes she really keeps it real!
As a mom of 5 waking up before them is gollldddeeennn to me its the only time i Have for me i love it and im a much less cranky stressed out mom! My kids are 12 5 3 1 and 7 months best thing i ever did waking up before them ...also love the toy rotation idea life saver!
Not sure why I'm here, I'm single with no children. But I'm still over here thinking "oh yeah, that seems like a great idea I should try!" 😂
hahahahhah me too.
Same here! 🤪😄
Same though
Hahaha signs of a good video
I’m learning (@40 years old) that being prepared is the KEY to success! These tips can cover a variety of life situations!
Omg your first hack was hilarious. Seeing you peek into the room multiple times was super relatable and cracked me up. ❤

Finally!!! Someone who does this too.. I’m chronically ill so I NEED to take the break to survive 🤣 Thanks for not making me feel alone !
So true
Me too!
100%. I'm 35 weeks pregnant and when the toddler is sleeping, I am NOT MOVING. I need all the energy to survive the day.
I used to work hard during naps but after going to therapy, I use more of that time to rest.
Really working on getting up before my son. On days I do, my day runs much smoother. It’s been great for throwing on some clothes, catching up on the news, drinking my coffee hot and giving undivided attention took to our bulldog - things that help me start my day on the right foot!

I'm not a mum and never had children but I love watching your posts. I send them on to people I know that would find them helpful. Thanks Kallie 🤗
I didn’t think it was possible but your videos just keep getting better and better! And your style/editing is so clean.

Only a “dog mom,” but at least half of these tips totally apply!! Love your videos... thanks for sharing!

These are great for Moms of preschoolers, too! I really need to do toy rotation.
I have just recently found you and I love your sense of humor! You are so relatable, thank you! You are really helping me

Wake up before your children is absolutely perfect. I do that especially during the quarenteen. Very active six year old, daughter.
First time seeing this video....

Mine is only a crawler at the moment but these tips are so helpful already! Apart from the waking up earlier - she’s already up way too early 😂
I'm lmao at the intro 😂😂😂 this video is great for every day.
OMG lifesaver tips 😀 So much needed honestly !!
All of the tips are sooo good
Thank you! You were in point and thank you for the advice. 🙃 I did have a question, where did you get the bumper for the entertainment center? My daughter is starting to crawl everywhere and our entertainment center isn’t that safe!

Oh my gosh this was so good!!!
Great tips!! I needed this... the struggle is real😂
This may sound silly but how to you plan/pivot your schedule when your kid gets sick. I'm all good on the scheduling but then my kids get sick and my productivity gets wrecked.
Having my free time at 4am enjoying the silence and my coffee. Mommy of three here 😆.Quarantine is driving me crazy😨
I love this video! So helpful:)
I totally needed this!! ❤️
That intro was too relatable!! 😂
Where is your dinner table from? Looking for a new one and yours looks so nice😊
Lol can I hug you?! I have a 3 year old ( just turned 3 today) and all I can say is this video was well needed!!
I can’t wait until my kids sleep better so I can wake up before them. My youngest still wakes up six+ times a night 😭 once he’s sleeping better, I am TOTALLY waking up before them!!
Have you tried a compression sheet or weighted blanket? Helps many kids sleep deeper and longer. Best of luck!
Love the tree wallpaper, can I ask where its from?
That intro is soo sooo REAL 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Omg, I didn't know you were so funny! Lol, love your channel
Wonderful info
What is the brand of Miles high chair?
I really want to work on getting up before the kids.
Great ideas.
Love your humour! You are so stinkin' pretty. ❤️
I love that high chair! Can you please send me a link?
During the summers my husband is a stay-at-home Dad - I can’t help but wonder what his “nap time hustle” would be? Take a nap? Watch tv?
Great videos!! Here from kayla buells channel!!

I am literally a single 32 yr old guy w.no kids but this was an interesting video :) tips will def help w.nieces/nephews n frens kids

Our sons are close in age! 🥰 But my question is, how potty training going for you?
Thanks i have 3 toddlers right now i need all help i can get. Anyone else have more one.
If we can survive 2020 with a toddler, we can do anything. Is this hell? I think this is hell.
Me hitting the first part of the video: You can leave your toddler alone 😂? Mine has a meltdown if I leave his line of sight
Unfortunately my kid wakes up around 5h to 5h30 am… so waking up before him is near impossible.
this is creepy, are you watching me? are you in my head? you are describing my life exactly!!! 😂
Where is your planner from?
She put a link in her other video smile.amazon.com/Dated-Minimalist-DayPlanner-Calendar-do/dp/B07YX9QVF7 I got one and love it!
🌹🌹💖💖
I'm to Mexican for this.lol
