Thesis drift on the way down vs thesis drift on the way up are different animals IMO. Stock prices are reflexive and a rising stock price can serve as a catalyst to create future opportunities for a company that you may not have factored in to begin with. AAPL a great example.. Thesis drift on the way down is more often "this is cheaper therefore lower risk... etc etc."
You are confusing franchisee and franchisor in the title and the podcast. Saying franchisee when you mean franchisor. Franchisor is capital light, franchisee is not. Franchisee have to make the food, hire the employees etc.
