@Jonathan de Kock That's a sample size of one :3 What you said is what I pointed out right away at the beginning. however that doesn't work out quite as well if the content is not exclusive. Do the math based on your own estimations, pretty sure the conclusion will be it doesn't check out. My guess is the total revenue isn't supposed to cover the costs, but just a bit of funding for something they wanted to do anyway (:
Great game and video! I really think it would benefit from some route randomness such that pre-planning a route is made impossible or very difficult. For example when the actually starts, each team gets one or two cities (with +- equally strong connections/average prices) that must be transited through along the way. Eg. Cologne, Germany and Split, Croatia. This could be extended to an Asian city, only discovered by the teams upon reaching Europe, that they must go through. Penalties for failing a challenge could also include another mandatory stop. Rewards for very difficult challenges (maybe location dependent - eg Pastry Mile in Baku in 12 minutes) could be giving your opposing team another mandatory stop eastwards from where they are. Or forcing them to miss their next booked flight/take their next flight in business class. Etc etc. Hope to see more of these games! Well done.
Ahoj, I just watched your series. Thanks for your series! ### Strategical questions: What makes me puzzle: Why do you sprint off at the beginning to the airport? I would think that for three resons it would be strategically better to start with a challenge straight away, if you do not have a very good reason to get a specific flight which is departing soon (one team had that weekly flight to Thailand planned, that might be a good reason to just head off, but the other did not have a detailed plan, just ideas what could be done). Reasons: * You are right in town. Most challenges can easier be completed in town than at the airport. So, when you are already in town and just do a challenge now, this saves time to actually get from airport to town and back. * If you do more than one challenge within 300 miles, the challenges are less worth. So ideally whenever possible you want to do a challenge at each new place and evenly distribute challenges. So, a good reason to do one straight away before the first long distance trip. * If you do a challenge first, you take it away from your opponents. So you should have an incentive to do challenges early. And regarding the proof of onward travel as an entry requirement in many countries: Does this always have to be a flight? E.g. from Milano you can get cheaply to Austria or Switzerland, by train (also local train!) or long distance bus. I think much cheaper than a spontaneous flight to Paris. I don't know about Sinfapore, but it seems Malaysia is just close by. So why did you just consider airplanes? Is this the only allowed mid- and long distance transportation in the game? Regards!
According to an airport worker who I once asked about it, that thing where they make you pick up your boarding pass in person has to do with not having any checked luggage. They basically want every passenger to visit an agent at some point, and if you check your bag that's good enough. But if you don't have a bag to check, they sometimes make it so you can't check in online so that you still interact with a person at the airport.
You did it. You finally convinced me to get a curiosity stream/nebula subscription. Been hearing the ads for eons and you guys finally convinced me I had to subscribe so I can watch your videos. Congratulations 🎉
Publishing a video about Cancun while in Cancun is the best coincidence possible. Forget about all the crazy stuff that happens in a game; I think this beats all of it.
I'm surprised neither team considered flying to Frankfurt on Condor from Vegas or Phoenix, although likely it was due to distance requirements and possibly price as well considering they were allowed to do research beforehand.
I would love if you could add subtitles. As a non-native speaker, some of the things are a lot harder to understand with background noise and masks and all that than a video produced in a professional recording setting is.
Ok so this video just got recommended to me and I was so shocked to see the face of the voice of many science/educational videos I randomly “watch” in the shower
Love the video! This inspires me to do something like this with my friends. One little improvement you could make is to leave the lower thirds (text on the left bottom) on for a bit longer in future seasons. It was really hard for me to read (not english native) it during the video. Maybe it was intentional idk, but i think it could improve the already great quality.
This reminds me of the time I was leaving the air Force Academy and went from Colorado springs to Denver which is a quick flight, but there was a huge layover due to a storm. I got to Denver 5 minutes before my flight boarded and was across the entire airport. I ran so fast through that airport and probably caused so much concern. I got to the gate and the Denver flight was pushed by another 2 hours for a storm. Luckily got home on time.

In the 1970s a team of journalists circumnavigated the world in 80 hours, with stop overs in cities to make reports. It really helped they were in a Concorde specifically tasked with it (publicity event). 10 or so years later it did it in under 30, stopping only to refuel.
Ya know I gotta hand it to Adam, I have a very small stomach so eating all those pastries would be a huge challenge no matter how hungry I am, in addition to running a mile I think I’d die.
I’ve learned that it’s not about being smart, it’s about just being focused and going fast. Adam and been have won almost all of them, and the only reason they didn’t win connect 4 is the rental car screwed them
It wasn't just the rental car though, they would have lost anyway due to Avis being closed and having to rent with Hertz instead because Sam pulled an instawin card.
My prediction/ advice (?): 1. If the Thai flights are missed, both can try and make their way to Athens (can take Wizz Air/Ryanair/Easyjet directly) or to other Greece cities such as Paphos or Thessaloniki and make their way to Athens. (may cost around 60 to 200 USD/2 ppl) 1a. Then they could take the Scoot Athens-Singapore service. 1b. Flights to or through Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, or Japan are impossible as border restrictions constrain. For reference, these options are cheaper pre-pandemic and can be wisely used if these borders are fully opened. A stopover through Korea as the border is opened for tourists (not restricted to group tours) will be possible if the video is taken in June. 1c(a). There are no direct flights from Thailand or Malaysia to USA/Canada. Flight options from Vietnam are minimal (although possible) and expensive. 1c(b). From Manila, it is possible to reach Vancouver, San Francisco, or Los Angeles using Philipine Airlines. This is a cheap option costing the players 1600 USD for 2. 1c(c). From Seoul, it is possible to reach Dallas with just 1200 USD for 2 using American Airlines or Korean Air. 1c(d). From Singapore, it is possible to reach Vancouver, Seattle, Los Angeles, or San Francisco using Singapore Airlines or United for 1600 USD. 2. Other options include reaching Abu Dhabi or Jeddah using Wizz Air or Pegasus and could take Air Asia X or Cebu Pacific to Manila or Kuala Lumpur. Alternatively, the route via India is possible with Indian or Middle Eastern budget carriers, through a stopover (visa required), who can continue their journey to South-East Asia. From New Delhi alternatively, both players could take Indian Airlines to Seoul for 800 USD. Singapore could also be reached cheaply from Dubai or India. If they reach Bangkok using the Thai flight or Singapore using Scoot, connecting to Manila and Singapore is cheap just needing around 90 USD. Connecting to Seoul requires around 350 USD using Air Asia X. In order to gain mileage and do challenges through it, I recommend using budget carriers wisely in SE Asian countries between Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, or Indonesia. Flights are extremely cheap like Ryanair in Europe costing a maximum of 80 USD for 2 but the cost of living and transportation is a lot cheaper.
1. Also, The team who traveled through Cancun is at a disadvantage if they wish to take the Thai flight from Paris, as budget carriers are not available on this leg and both High-Speed Rail or inter-Europe flights from KLM or Airfrance can be very expensive. As we heard from the news, AMS airport was in total chaos in the past weeks. Not sure how this team would get through Amsterdam. Budget carriers also do not exist from Amsterdam or Netherlands in general and the nearest airport they will need to go to should be Eindhoven. Then they could make their way away from it. This could also handicap them if they wish to take advantage of Scoot or through Europe. On the other hand, Milan is one of the if not the busiest or most convenient hubs if not London Stansted/Luton for all 3 or more budget carriers. It will be much easier for this team to make their way out.

They could easily hop onto an EasyJet flight to Morocco, Egypt, Iceland, or the Spanish Atlantic islands and around 6000km is gained for around 120USD. 2b. Same advantage can also be used (even better) for the Amsterdam team to and from Egypt using Easyjet and around 8000km can be gained for 200 USD. They could also get to Dubai using Transavia and gain 11000km for 350 USD. Alternatively, they could also get to Dubai this way and continue to India or SEA. 3. This could therefore enable the team from using the KLM direct flight from Amsterdam to Seoul using 1200 USD and could also satisfy distance requirements.

This Channel is bound to grow it’s very well edited and a cool concept. This wasn’t the first Jetlag video I saw and when I heard Sam‘s voice for the first time I was going crazy trying to figure out who it was lol
I love the way you just jump into these and explain it as you go. The pacing is so well done.
That last lap with only 2 minutes left and 4 pastries. That's honestly impressive
Tom Scott would also be great on this challenge
yes
I dunno. Tom prefers to be scripted. Matt Grey, the bouncyst man on the Internet, though, might be up for it.
Ah, the joys of travelling with a passport that doen't require visas everywhere....
This was absolutely my favorite season. But coming back and watching this now and seeing how far these guys have come is absolutely insane
This could very well be the first time anyone has ever flown to Cancun and not left the airport
Lmao, Ben and Adam are sooo much fun. They need to have some subs.
It is incredible how this content is free to watch
The first season pretty much served as a promo for Crime Spree, which is not free to watch ... however I wonder how the ROI for this season works out since this episode barely made $200 in adsense and there's no obvious sponsors (besides the Curiosity bundle clip)
The cuts when Adam was throwing up had me dying. So excited for this series
The second one was faked ... still funny tho :3
@@misatzu The second one? As in you think he threw up and then decided to fake throwing up again??? What???? 😂
@@Bisonrulz16 as in the 2nd gag was blurred false barf
@@Bisonrulz16 anybody understood it except 1 🤡
@@misatzu my dude? You came back 3 separate times across an hour to reply to me? Are you okay LOOL
Well done.
Those are great suggestions!!
I fully second this!
Ahoj,
I just watched your series. Thanks for your series!
### Strategical questions:
What makes me puzzle: Why do you sprint off at the beginning to the airport?
I would think that for three resons it would be strategically better to start with a challenge straight away, if you do not have a very good reason to get a specific flight which is departing soon (one team had that weekly flight to Thailand planned, that might be a good reason to just head off, but the other did not have a detailed plan, just ideas what could be done).
Reasons:
* You are right in town.
That man photo bombing in the background and then holding back his smile as he tries to play it cool is my spirit animal

Sam has got so many jobs, he’s running the jet lag channel, wendover productions, and he’s an editor for half as interesting? That’s crazy
And Extremities, I think, but he stopped uploading. He's also chief content officer of Nebula and has a stake in that.
Wait until they find out about ryanair
One suggestion - extend the episodes by 10mins to be 30mins, you have so much content and the show is AWESOME!
Now they’ve already expanded it to 40-45 minutes long XD
adam deserves a gold medal for that pastry mile
Running a mile isn’t bad. Eating 4 donuts isn’t bad. Eating 4 donuts while running a mile is insane!! Respect 😂
You did it. You finally convinced me to get a curiosity stream/nebula subscription. Been hearing the ads for eons and you guys finally convinced me I had to subscribe so I can watch your videos. Congratulations 🎉
Is it just me or these game shows are just brilliant? I just hope that they're all also having fun for real and not just exhausted and burnt out
Tbh I would love to participate in these
“if we do win this race it will be well earned” [adam vomits video cuts]
Holy...! Sam teaming up with the Real Life Lore guy? Two of my favorite UA-cam channels together!
I’m so happy I found this channel. Your content is so amazingly entertaining to watch. Stellar job!
Always hashtag team Ben and Adam
Challenge: Clean up all of Adam's vomit in Brooklyn.
This channel should explode, such great videos.
for the pastry mile I got so scared when he picked large donuts and didn't imediately look for macaroons or something
I would love if you could add subtitles. As a non-native speaker, some of the things are a lot harder to understand with background noise and masks and all that than a video produced in a professional recording setting is.
They have them on Nebula. Not sure why they didn't get uploaded here.
I think the only one being *intentionally* short was the "Vomit cut available on Nebula" insert lol
"Adam from not being famous"
"Ben from not being famous"
LMFAO
Fun to see you guys back in action! I only wish that you had explained the rules a little bit better in the beginning.
13:03 he says "I only". He was probably going to say "I only want water" but started drinking before he could finish the sentence.
Sounded like "baloney"
the pastry mile is the most devious challenge in jet lag history oh my god whoever came up with that is evil
The first person to get convicted of speeding was only going 8 mph
This reminds me of the time I was leaving the air Force Academy and went from Colorado springs to Denver which is a quick flight, but there was a huge layover due to a storm. I got to Denver 5 minutes before my flight boarded and was across the entire airport. I ran so fast through that airport and probably caused so much concern.
I got to the gate and the Denver flight was pushed by another 2 hours for a storm. Luckily got home on time.
Wendover Productions and Real Life Lore in a seires together on camera is wild. I never thought I'd see the day
14:34 Everyone else on that track is just lookin at Team Bam and thinkin "What the hell are these two doing!?" xD
Poor Adam tho, he is a winner in our hearts always; just for this run alone. Also, i hope that challenge card got deleted from future cards for the sake of not killin Adam again
This show is the closest thing we can get to Where in The World is Carmen San Diego from the 90s! It’s my new obsession, and I love it! The Connect 4 show was good, but taking it international brought it to a whole new level! Please keep making this content. I finally went over to Nebula today just to see the next episode and can’t wait for the next one! I would love to see this expanded in the future to include travel and geography vloggers as guest contestants. Would be a great way to get the word out too 😉 Keep up the great work!
This puts the Amazing Race to shame, and I love that show! This is the best series on UA-cam!
In the 1970s a team of journalists circumnavigated the world in 80 hours, with stop overs in cities to make reports. It really helped they were in a Concorde specifically tasked with it (publicity event).
10 or so years later it did it in under 30, stopping only to refuel.
ADAM INSANE THATS MILE CHALLENGE WAS BRUTAL BUT HE DID IT AMAZING!!
Ya know I gotta hand it to Adam, I have a very small stomach so eating all those pastries would be a huge challenge no matter how hungry I am, in addition to running a mile I think I’d die.
Y’all’s ideas are amazing! Great video as always guys !!
This has quickly become my new favourite show on the Internet.
My prediction/ advice (?):
1. If the Thai flights are missed, both can try and make their way to Athens (can take Wizz Air/Ryanair/Easyjet directly) or to other Greece cities such as Paphos or Thessaloniki and make their way to Athens. (may cost around 60 to 200 USD/2 ppl)

2a. Locating in Milan could easily give the team a cheap advantage as they could invest early for "distance traveled" before the late game.
Ben and Adam are my faves!!! Poor Adam on that pastry mile challenge. It's not looking good for them but somehow, I think they're going to pull a victory out of defeat. Go Ben & Adam!!!!!
Man the amount of times sam has correctly predicted the travel patterns of the opponents is insane
Joseph Pisenti, "The Only Person I Know Crazy Enough to Agree to Do This"
Sam Denby, "Really Needs You to Subscribe so He can Edge Out Joseph"
15 seconds in and I'm already losing it.
Ben:"You're an inspiration" Adam:"UAGHHHH"
If Adam and Ben had a channel I would definitely watch it
Same, just found this channel and they are the reason I'm binging
Did anyone else notice when it showed their names how wendover had his subscribers count at 5.95 mil when he only has 3.5 mil??
Looks like another fun series! Excited to see the rest!
This is Mr Beast challenges for adults … deserves much more views
true
Tbh I remember when I thought HAI and RLL were the same so these 2 on the same team is kinda cool.
Ha, that's ridiculous. Next you're gonna say HAI and Wendover are the same.
@@vigilantcosmicpenguin8721 That would be especially ridiculous since those two sound _completely_ different ... while HAI and RLL _totally_ sound the same so I wouldn't even know how not to confuse them!
Been looking forward to this one! Loved the first series and I’m confident this will be even better!!
Lol, Ben & Adam choosing to go to Sam's most hated airport.
Also, Joseph looks a lot different than I remember from one of his irl videos he has done a few years ago.
They never went to Newark Airport tho...
Gosh, I feel so bad for Adam. That was so sad to see him like that, he’s my favourite but Ben always is that guy who doesn’t want to do anything. Poor Adam 😢
