@@RabidJz I actually meant more like, how do you know how much timing to add in or take out, I have physically heard knock, but from when I spoke to zach denney of ECUmaster, he basically said the stock knock sensors are useless, the whp bosch sensors are good but have to be tuned, I had them on my 1jz supra and couldnt figure them out, I ended up having it tuned on the dyno, not sure how they did it either. I feel like mine had like 14 degrees or close to that in timing, i pulled it all back quite a bit to drive it around town a little bit no boost and break in the engine a bit before I had it tuned.
@Supranforever its more of, i just know by heart where is safe at for a jz on ethanol. A jz on e85 will be on the downside of power before it starts detonation. Meaning, you can add timing until you feel it loose power, before it'll start knock. Im actually so lazy, i dont even run knock sensors on my jzs, only cause like you said, the stock ones suck and i just haven't ever cared to buy bosch sensors
This video was so much fun to watch. Classic "guys being dudes"lol
Drop parts list
Would love to see the ecu to in the cabin video
We'll see when he decides. But it'll be filmed!

@@RabidJz looking forward to the content 👊🏼
Dudes being dudes, ol' boy can actually drive that car pretty goodl, he shifts it good. Sounds nice. What did you do about the Ignition map though?
What do you mean?
He’s asking if you adjusted the base ignition map that came straight off the website
Oh, yes. The basemap was crazy. I had to pull alot of timing out
