I know a lot of people shit on Superman and think he’s corny, but I think it’s beautiful the way two people going through one of the hardest times in history created a symbol of peace and hope. One that can’t be defeated or swayed by evil. It really is touching
I was about to comment on that as well, the idea of where the creation of Superman came from is beautiful. A hero for people who may not have one, and is still relevant about 80 years later. The ultimate symbol of hope.

I feel like people don't understand the concept of Superman, he's all powerful, yes, a "human" swiss army knife, but that's the point. He's the living embodiment of hope, he's the light at the end of the tunnel that tells you that no matter how bleak it looks we'll get through this, he's a hero in the traditional sense.

The fact is comics will always make superman stronger becuase they cant make good stories thats why they had to merge all supermen together because they couldn't think of anything else.
When you make a character stronger the story suffers its up to you to find a way to deal with that in dbs case it scaled down the fights using ki control.
In supermans case they just exploded the cosmology and regularly tear everything apart it doesn't make for a good story its just eye candy.

THIS is what the other fights were missing. Both of them always felt so spiteful and arrogant even though it's the total opposite of how they'd be in this scenario. Goku gets an impossibly strong opponent to spar against and learn from and Clark gets to cut completely loose in a friendly fight against someone who may not be on his level but can actually force him to try without worrying about killing him since Goku can just be wished back.
I mean DC did make all Superman canon, so Goku had no chance. Goku fans was hurt in the chat when the video went over Superman, cause they know Goku hasn't done anything as stupid, or crazy like that.

Unicron is from transformers and is pretty similar to galactus (both are incredibly huge, extremely powerful, gain power by devouring worlds, and have a herald or underling that scouts planets for them to eat)
And the match up between these two has been requested since season 1 of death battle, which was 11 years ago
So when they say #1 requested match up, they ain't capping

One of the few key differences however is that while Galactus only consumes worlds because he needs to do so in order to survive, Unicron destroys them because he resents all forms of life & order (being a being of chaos) and wishes to destroy everything across the Transformers Multiverse (whenever as a Omnipotent being or as seperate incarnations) as a result.
Also mainly depends on which version of Unicron DB ends up using, though most versions of him tend to be portrayed as a Dark God of cosmic origins (mainly in the G1 Marvel Comics & the TF:Prime show).

I love how good the animation was and the music, they also used the strongest version of the character, so it was pretty fun to see them go head-to-head with each other, it was amazing, and I love how they remain friends in the end, destined to fight again.

As someone who don’t downplay Goku. The fandom just throw him against characters who can one shot. Like throwing him against Lucifer and things is insane. Goku is maybe like a mid-tier compared to comic characters.

Think about it this way. Superman has had twice as much, if not much more runtime than Goku has in the entirety of their existence. Superman has gone through so many phases and reboots with different scales of his power it isn't even funny. The fact Goku is this close despite having way less of a runtime is a testament to how strong he is. I think if we give Goku a little more time to cook, he might be able to do it. Until then, the answer to "Can he beat Goku?" is yes, Superman can definitely beat Goku.

I feel like an interesting fight is Superman vs Fusion Zamasu. Zamasu grows in stength when taking damage and is also immortal. If supes does manage to destroy his body then Zamasu becomes reality itself
