Like, in Hulk vs Broly, they didn't do proper universal scaling and massively downplayed Hulk as a result. Here, they finally gave Marvel the proper 9000x universal size, instead of kneecapping it to "one universe". Despite giving Dragon Ball 13x Universal from the first Dragon Ball Super matchup onward.

The problem just comes from putting anime characters VS comic book characters, because comic book characters have hundreds of incarnation so you either have a version that's multiverse but is weak to the color purple, or have another that doesn't have a weakness to purple, but isn't multiversal you can't have both, then make them fight someone else. @@karma2130 it’s really not that bad. There’s some confusion here and there, but organizing the characters by run helps. This is this authors run on the character, this is that authors run, so on so forth.
You can read Thor’s god butcher saga and be mostly fine without prior knowledge, which is by Jason Aaron, or the Walt simonson run and be fine, a classic that every Thor fan likes.
A character like Superman has that issue of continuity because of how old he is and the reboots to the universe. Marvel on the other hand, while they can add feats and stuff, stays mostly consistent. (I love myself DC comics at their best, but the constant rebooting of their universe is a huge issue).
I’m not sure if you’d be interested, but give something like Kingdom Come and Marvels a shot. Amazing artwork by Alex Ross for both, with Kingdom Come being an elseworld story that’s rewarding for long time readers, but with a story so good and accessible anyone can jump in. And Marvels is a story from the perspective of a normal person witnessing the history of marvels greatest events as time marches on.

I mean hell, for people still salty about the Goku vs Superman results, they always forget that one of Supes earliest examples of power was when he pulled THIRTEEN planets through multiple universes BY HIMSELF as said planets were attached to chains. I like both characters, and honestly, this is how it would have actually gone down. Vegeta is one of the stronger characters in his universe, but Thor is simply on an entirely different level.
That's nowhere near how it would've actually been, Vegeta can erase Thor and the entire planet with Hakai, he even gets buffs whenever he gets hit by any attack in Ultra Ego! This animation doesn't do Vegeta justice.

To be fair, the death battles rules are poorly done, they take feats from many different versions of the characters and say they were able to do this, even though that the version they use should be more limited, with other characters they pick one variation and stick with it, that's not a fair competition, if a feat by a coked up author from 50 years ago is used, where they ripped apart the universe with a punch

Notice how in every death battle against a Dragon Ball character, the skill level for a Dragon ball character is going somewhat consistent then suddenly it seems like they drop in skill level just to allow the opponent to get a open hit in with no defense. They used normal Thor they didn’t give Thor anything that turns it into a blowout like odinforce Thor really stomps, to be completely honest they massively downplayed both but in the end Thor is definitely far stronger and deserved the pengwin

The Marvel and DC Universes are nothing to dust to the side, they REALLY have characters that really give even the strongest of Dragon Ball Characters a run for their money
Both of those comic's universes have characters and gods who have feats and strengths that match (if not more stronger than) Zeno Sama himself
