    I've always been curious about this; you wouldn't think that many legs would be able to move so precisely and gracefully.

    • @garychap8384
      @garychap8384 7 років тому +14

      I don't know though. I can't think of many walks more smooth and graceful than a millipede ; )

    I love spiders and find their walk cute.
    This wasn't always the case, until I was 18 I was "scream and panic and don't reenter that room for 6 hours" afraid of spiders. A weird interaction with a jumping spider changed everything, and I started researching spiders intensely. Fear completely cured and turned into a passion.

  • @leonkrpd
    @leonkrpd 4 роки тому +2

    The only thing I’d add is that the back pair “push” the body rather than “pull” like the front legs do. But this is a great way to learn the basic concept of their walks.

  • @kilroy987
    @kilroy987 3 роки тому +1

    But that walk looks beautiful and maybe cute. Spiders are aberrations of nature, spawning nightmares by their presence and action. Animation must capture the essence of a thing it emulates!

    Nice! I used it to get my model of a spider moving, I just hooked the legs up to sine waves where downwards motion was accentuated so as to prevent it from looking like the cartoony running thing where the legs are moving in circular motion with there often being no legs actually on the ground.
